This is good once in a while

I wake up with the usual muffled scream, take a shower, wear clothes, wait for my wounds to heal, eat food,

the usual daily routine but now with side healing me making the pain half as much as before,

it still hurts though, but less

We set off on our magical hunting adventure!

Well, its only magical for side since she is, after all, a magician,

we wander around the mountain in search for some prey,

my makeshift shoes not providing the best in terms of comfort on this rugged terrain,

I hear a rustling in a nearby bush, I turn to it and see a fluffy brown rabbit with a straight horn on its head

The rabbit's horn glows and a gust of wind knocks us back,

I take 3 steps back while side was sent flying away, ugh not again!

DODGE! I jump to the side and dodge a wind blade,

thanks for that, instincts!

Hmm, what would be the best way to kill this thing to get the maximum experience,

since I level up through strong emotions and experiences the most dangerous the better I guess!

I run towards the rabbit while dodging wind blades,

I duck abruptly then roll backwards

I close the distance between me and the rabbit

jumping, sidestepping, ducking, flipping how much mana does this thing have!

I get within striking distance, the rabbit was ready though,

as soon as I got within range the rabbit leapt at me with explosive power impaling into my stomach with its horn

‘’AAAAAAHHHHHH’’ coughing blood I stab down in a panic, separating the rabbits head from its body and letting it flop down lifeless

the pain of getting forcefully penetrated by another being engulfed my body,

vision blurring I clutch my stomach and kneel,

removing the head and from my stomach brought another wave of pain and a fountain of blood gushing outwards along with some meaty goo and white liquids,

did that come out from its horn?

I cover up the hole with my hand keeping my insides on the inside and puke more blood,

huff huff, side returns from wherever she was sent to and starts healing me when she notices my predicament,

the pain is halved but I feel something deep inside me to stir, was that poison?

I have a bad feeling about this…

Level up

the wound closes after a while and all the blood disappears

its nice how I'm self-cleaning with my messes, but in the time that the blood was still around we attracted some attention,

vultures,

Bald bird that eats dead things, level 24 threat 30%, a bird that has weird tastes, it likes young girls and dead cats. can spew acid

yup, there are 3 vultures circling above our head, ‘’side, shoot them down!’’

side waves her arm summoning a ball of dirt and launching it into the air,

it misses

what can I do? I pick up a rock nearby and throw it, also missing the vulture

‘’kaakaka!’’ the vulture emits a shrill screech while looking down at us

oh come on! Now they’re laughing at us?

I throw another rock with extra effort punching a hole in through its wing ‘’one down!’’

with a puff of feathers, the bird flops out of the sky attempting to realign itself but struggling fruitlessly,

side hits another one straight in the head knocking it out,

the last one opens its mouth and starts puking,

a green fluid with bits of meat in it gets ejected from the bird's mouth ‘’EEEW DISGUSTING!’’ I run away from the splash zone,

side manages to hit this one in the wing sending it barreling through the sky and landing with a flomp

I walk over to the grounded vultures to finish them off

the first vulture flaps about a little bit squawking like mad but I managed to grab its wing to kill it with a neck slice gushing out blood and rancid green goo that burns my hand

the second vulture is unconscious so I chopped it with a clean hit,

the third looks messy, with it puking everywhere and flapping like mad, everything the puke touches emits a green smoke and awful smell

I moved behind it and plunged my hand through its body, done!

AAAAAHHHH retracting my hand from the disgusting bird an even worse smell permeates the surrounding

I want to cover my nose but my hands are covered with the filth

hurk

What part do I take from them?

‘’hey side, what part do you take from bird monsters?’’

‘’y-you take their beak usually, you could go for the skull but that would take too much space’’ she responds off in the distance

why are you so far away? do golems even have a nose? can they smell?

I use one hand to grab the beak with another on the head,

I yank hard and rip the beak from the head with a sickening *pop*

I do this for the other birds too,

I grimace with all the blood and gore that comes out, brain matter splattered across the floor

I don’t like the feel of their feathers since they are way too stiff so I don’t collect them,

I have no need for their bodies so I just leave it there, and pocket the whole horny rabbit

washing my body and mind from whatever just happened I sit down to heal, stomach feeling substantially emptier

after a while we move on to the next place, wandering around this mountain is such a chore,

all the unstable slopes, the sharp rocks, the winds, the monsters.

Goat of the mountains, level 23 threat 25%, a goat that lives in mountains, knows earth magic

The goat summons 3 balls of stone and launches them at us,

it's not at the speeds of a gun, only as fast as a baseball pitch but that would hurt if it was a rock travelling that fast,

I duck to dodge the rock, it flies over my head with a woosh sound,

I run towards the goat but it just hops away, oi come back here!

‘’side, can you restrain it like you did with the rock wolf?’’

she runs towards the goat, pushes her arms forwards and shouts ‘’entangle!’’

the small patches of grass nearby suddenly grows and entangles the goat,

‘’Great!’’ I rush up to the trapped goat and dodge one of its hastily made rocks, swiping down and killing it,

now for the spoils, the goat's horns look pretty cool, so I snap them and store it in my item box,

the skin looks pretty nice too so let's take that as well,

I take the ear as proof and we go on our merry way

Other than getting impaled by a rabbit and getting puked on by a bird, its been quite jolly so far
