welp, my high regeneration suddenly seems a lot more useful

I get up and walk forward through the plain

this is the perfect scenery for a picnic, fluffy white clouds above in the blue sky with the sun shining overhead, a peaceful forest behind me and a vast plain blanketed with a vibrant green grass that reaches my shin

nobody would guess that I was running for my life from a giant wood bodybuilder just a while ago, nor would they guess that that trail of destruction was made by a cat boy flying through the air at incredible speeds.

I walk in a straight line, where is everything? All this peaceful land and not a soul in sight, I walk for a while longer and eventually stumble across a road, PERFECT! This will lead me to a city somewhere so I decided to follow it.

I walk along the yellow brick road to get my wish~ I mean, I continue my pace along this gravel path,

wincing in pain every now and then when I step on a sharp rock until I find the first sign of movement,

it’s a pack of goblins!

Of course, it has to be goblins on the side of the road,

I continue walking snapping their necks with suck while not even batting an eye,

have I become heartless?

Nahh, since I've never cared about goblins anyway, nothing changed.

I walk and walk, meeting the occasional pack of goblins and snapping necks, am I really an assassin?

True, with this long-range neck snapping, I can be the best assassin, but can I truly call myself an assassin?

Do I utilize poison, daggers, traps, and stealth? Nope, the only thing that I can think of that makes me vaguely assassin-like would be the ambushing, neck snapping and maybe aiming for vitals?

perhaps my dislike of fire? Anyone can do that, not to mention that I don’t even hunt in the night! I feel like the worst assassin, but thinking of assassins, what are classes even for?

‘’hey identify, what are classes for?’’

Classes show what your specialization is and give you a small buff when doing things related to that class, but that doesn’t mean you cant do things outside your class, your class will change depending on your actions and specialization.

‘’How informative, but hey identify, why am I still an assassin? Shouldn’t it change to a warrior or something?’’

You haven’t met the requirements to change class yet, only after a certain amount of time, fulfilling certain conditions and doing some actions repeatedly will you class change.

‘’So it’s just a time thing, is there like a timer or something that updates your class every few days?’’

the class change occurs for everyone at the start of every new year, it is celebrated as the day of change since it signifies when you become someone else as well as the beginning of the year, you were sent here on the day of change so you might have to wait for a while

so I'm stuck with assassin for almost a whole year?

At least my next class will be something that fits me, but what would it be? Would I be a warrior? A berserker? Would I just stay being an assassin? I ponder to myself as I walk along this road.

I was humming at first, then it turned to singing, and now full-blown shouting

I stop dead in my tracks,

breaking out of that high and looking around I notice that I reached the destination.

I am currently in front of a massive stone gate that belongs to the equally massive city behind it, the guard is giving me a weird look while I cower, covering my face in shame as I blush profusely, tail puffing up as it wriggles erratically.

Okay, breathe in, breathe out, inhale… exhale… heee, haaa, I'm good now, I dump my 10 points to endurance.

Ahem,

so I walk to the guard, an average looking guy with most of his body covered in armour,

‘’umm, id like to enter?’’ I ask while fidgeting and failing to hide my shame, I mean, he saw everything!

The guard just laughs and says ‘’the toll is 10 copper for a kid, 15 for an adult’’ I hand him one of my bronze coins and he lets me pass,

i step through the massive stone gate and into the city.

inside you can see the tip of a marvelous castle in the middle, surrounded by another set of walls, the streets are lined with cobblestone and the houses a mixture of some stone and some wood, a pretty standard medieval city.

What I didn’t mention about this medieval city, is that it has a lot of issues that the medieval times had 

that is, all the feces littering the streets, people dumping garbage on the road, all the homeless people, all the rats, the rancid smell, people getting executed on a stage, people getting tortured out in open, people getting burned at the stake, masters whipping slaves, people doing the do out in public, prostitutes, slavery and all that magical good fun time!

Just one step in and the smell is killing me, another step and I stepped on some mystery fluid,

I mind the ground in order to not step on anything and continue looking around, the people getting executed seem to be criminals, the people getting tortured seem to be prisoners but some of them look weird,

oddly enough, this city has a lot of people of mixed races living alongside humans, there are cat, dog, lizard Beastkin along with elves and dwarves,

I don’t see any church within eyesight, I thought those were a given, considering this is a medieval fantasy world but I guess not, 

I wonder why those people are burning then? There is magic in this world so its probably not witchcraft, no church in the vicinity so not a religious thing, are they demons? They look human enough, heck one of them is an elf!

I continue walking along this street until I notice someone waving at me in an alley

I take a step closer to see and look at the man in detail, he is a seedy looking bear type Beastkin, more beast than usual as he has patches of thick fur in some places and a long trench coat

‘’hey there kid, do you want some candy~?’’ instincts scream at me to get away and my sphicter tightens,

he licks his lips and says the following ‘’come follow me into my white van where we can have looots of fun~’’

I turn around and start bolting, all my hairs are standing up, tail puffed to twice the size, ears standing firm and a cold sweat trickling down my back

I need some real clothes, and fast.
