《Queen Of Alcaria》Chapter 21 - Bluewood Merchant Group

With a clear goal in mind, Talia headed directly to the location of the quests she wanted to pick up alongside the one involving Goblins.
These quests were either ones which can be completed in passing on her way there or where relatively close to the quest had in mind itself.
Because of her experience from the game, she easily located each of the quest locations throughout the Town, picking them up one by one.
The quests she had selected were relatively minor ones and were those that she wanted to do in passing, as they provided decent rewards for their corresponding difficulty level, something which would greatly aid the power levelling she had in mind.
After finding all of the quests she wanted to do, she finally found the location of one of the most rewarding quests available in the Town, a quest which would prove a challenge for the current her to the accomplish but this didn’t phase her at all as she knew she needed these type of quests to grow as swiftly as possible.
Finding a luxurious store which was located within the affluent part of the town she unhesitantly entered after briefly flicking her gaze over the sign which read in golden lettering ‘Bluewood Merchant Group’.
Upon entering the store her eyes roamed around the building as she looked over the fancy decor and lavish furniture.
Belonging to a Merchant Group the store contained an assortment of different wares which was delivered by caravans directly from the main branch at a monthly interval, the only issue with the store at the moment was that the items contained in the shelves were clearly lacking with some even empty not containing anything inside at all.
Standing behind the desk within the building was a pudgy-looking man with a fairly youthful appearance, he had bright eyes and a friendly, honest looking appearance which makes you can’t help but view him favourably.
The youth seemed delighted at the arrival of a new customer as he said, “Ah, Young Lady! Welcome, to our little merchant group store today, I can assure you we should have something you should be looking for here, although we have a tad shortage on our usual merchandise at this time there is still plenty of amazing things on offer!”
Before Talia could say anything to interrupt the youth to inform him that she wasn’t here to buy something, he had already rapidly approached cutting in not allowing her to even get a sword off as he said, “Yes I know that this is not perfect… but how about I interest you in this unique commodity from Silvermoon City, it is a precious gem called a moonstone and glows a silvery hue every full moon. It is one of the most beautiful sights you can see and surely fitting for a lady as charming such as yourself. What about 2 gold for the moonstone?”

Talia felt speechless at the merchant's attempt at selling his wares, but just as she was about to interject again, he disrupted her again.
“Wait, out of the generosity of my heart, I just have to revalue my offer once again, seeing how both you and this item are so fated for each other, what about one gold and it’s yours!” Said pudgy looking youth persuasively at he tried to tempt Talia yet again.
“I’m sorry, I am not here to purchase your…” Said Talia.
However, before Talia could continue another voice sounded from the back of the store as they said, “The girl isn’t here to buy anything, Tom, so you should quit trying to haggle with our goods. Girl, I can tell your not common just by your aura, are you here to complete the subjugation quest we have posted?”
Knowing that there was a newcomer in the room, Talia turned to the direction which the voice came from and found a sturdy-looking middle-aged man, unlike the pudgy youth the man did not resemble a merchant at all, and instead, appearance-wise resembled an experienced combatant.
The middle-aged man had scars which decorated his face and a prosthetic metal hand which added to his well-built physique only made him appear even more fierce-looking.
“You are correct on that one, I have come here about your ‘missing caravan’ problem,” Talia said bluntly not intending to waste any time at all.
Her directness seemed to amuse the hardened middle-aged man as he laughed heartily as he said, “I like you girl! You remind me back of my mercenary days, ah I miss that dearly, although the pay is good dealing with these merchants all the time which only know how to prattle on about things endlessly is one of the more bothersome things about this job.”
After that, the middle-aged man treated Talia way more fondly as he was forthright in giving her information about the quest which needed to be completed for the merchant group.
Although Talia knew what the mission entailed, she still shortly looked over the description of the mission from the system, which was exactly what it was like in the game.
The quest was a simple one and was about solving the issue of the missing caravans sent by the merchant group.
For some reason for the past few months, they had been losing contact with numerous caravans sent by their caravan group, and other merchant groups of similar size have suffered similar strange disappearances.
However, despite both the Mayor of the Town and the merchant groups efforts until now they have yet to discover the culprit.
They have attempted to bolster the guards of the caravans, but even then it did little to help the situation, and they still went missing unexplainably.

The only ones who remained unaffected were the larger merchant groups which were one of the reasons why the Town Major did not go completely all out so far as even though his income had been impacted, his largest source of income and the most influential merchant groups in the Town had barely been affected.
Bluewood Merchant Group was one of the merchant groups most affected and has pushed the other merchant groups who have been impacted by the incident to come up with a reward to interest strong adventurers or mercenaries to solve the problem but until now even with the generous reward, no one had found the cause.
Back in the game, this was a quest which was quite troublesome for the players to complete in the beginning, but being among the first-gen of players she obviously has the knowledge needed to complete this bothersome quest.
So once accepting the quest details from the middle-aged man, she straight away informed him she would be back in a few hours with the quest completed causing him to once again roar heartily with laughter as he praised her confidence.
The pudgy young merchant, Tom, on the other hand, did not appear optimistic at all of Talia’s chances to complete the mission and had seemingly lost interest knowing that Talia was not here to buy their wares.
Yet upon her exit of the building, he straight away turned to the middle-aged man who still seemed to be smiling like a buffoon showing the joy he gained from his interaction with Talia and said, “Ah! Do you really think that lass will even come close to finishing this quest? It has already been posted over a few weeks and all of those strong-looking mercenaries and adventurers are still clueless about who did it!”
“Who cares! I just find the girl interesting that’s all if no one can still find the reason behind the missing caravans we will just have to request the main branch to grudgingly fork out enough coin to pay the top experts to solve it.” He said.
“Ah, this is truly a troublesome thing if only the interests of those big merchant groups were affected, then they would have to be the ones who bore the cost of such a thing,” Tom said begrudgingly thinking about the cost it would take to hire those big experts as he knew that involving the main branch will lower his value in the eyes of those big shots even if isn’t his fault the funds needed will supersede five years of the gains they would get from Stonehead Town but it was price needed to be paid if the issue remained unsolved.
Talia on the other hand after leaving the building had already directly rushed to the location of the quest in her memories.
Leaving Stonehead Town, she travelled for about sixty minutes, completing the objectives of a few of the more straightforward quests that she had picked up earlier she made haste to the spot where she knew that the secret of the missing caravans was located.
The reason until now that the culprit was not found, is that they were a distinct group of creatures who none would usually expect for such a complicated job, and that was Goblins!
A creature almost anyone would cross off instantly as the culprits behind the caravans disappearance, as although Goblins were known to attack caravans they would not be able to pull off such a smooth job every time without leaving any traces at all for the merchant groups to follow.
Nonetheless, these Goblins were unusual, to begin with, one they had a Goblin Shaman among them and secondly they are far more intelligent than your average Goblins.
No one knew the exact reason why, but some players speculated it was because they had unwittingly discovered some unknown inheritance. After all, each of the Goblins belonging to this tribe seemed to have mutated granting them far higher intelligence than your average goblin.
At the same time, the Goblin Shaman itself possessed a unique form of magic which perfectly cloaks and keeps them virtually undetectable from the prying eyes of even those who are a few levels stronger than them.
Not only this but they had found a way how to gauge the strength of their opponents, which was one of the reasons why they only picked opponents of a certain strength and would only raid caravan groups they were confident In dealing with, which was why for now they had hidden from the hired experts who have been searching everywhere for them.
However, Talia knew from the gathered experience of players in her previous life on how to not only find them but the best way on how to deal with the group of pesky Goblins.
Trotting along with the dense foliage she abruptly comes across a clearing containing multiple large jagged rocks.
If a casual observer walked past here they would assume there was nothing here but just a few impressively sized pieces of stone, but Talia knew that this was all a set up by the cunning Goblins.
Walking towards one of the rocks she suddenly stuck her hand towards them and as expected she felt her the entire of her arm go directly through as if there was nothing in front of her at all.
Smiling in satisfaction at her discovery she knew that she had found the area that she was looking for, the location of the Goblins den.

8 162GLADIUS // Eret X Reader
PHANTASM SERIES BOOK 4---Gladius, (noun): (in ancient Rome) a short sword.---Eret perked up as soon as you and Simon walked into the room, a wide and welcoming smile coming onto his face. He was softer looking than his father had been, but you could still see some of the similar traits. He had a head of thick dark curls, and the same sharp jaw that his father had had. He wasn't as bulky though - he was tall and thin - and his face was a lot more open. What separated him most from his father's likeness though was the colorful cape, and the large mirrored glasses he wore - swirling with colors reflected from the room. He stood from his seat when Maven let the doors swing shut behind her, that wide smile still on his face. "You must be the embassy.""And you must be King Eret." You said, stooping into a bow. "Oh, there's no need for that." Eret said as you rose from your bow. He stepped down from the dias where his throne sat - colorful cape trailing behind him - and came to stand in front of you, taking your hand instead. "I'm not really one for formalities." He grinned, shaking your hand. His palm was warm against yours, and you could feel some slight callouses - most likely from practicing his sword work.
