Chapter 194 – 4
Zola swiftly climbed the deck. She was on her four limbs as she inspects the deck. There were only a few of them looking at the direction where she was standing. The soldiers that were assigned leisurely chewed on their cigars as they watch the sea line.
Some of them have light skin while some tan skin. She noticed that there were some female officers lounging on the submarine while wearing their fatigues. They didn’t have the typical look of a female. They were toned and were as stern as the others.
“They looked like they are well-trained too. I guess they didn’t just bring anyone other than the experts,” she thought.
Zola moved quietly and went down the deck. She nimbly moves down the ladder and latched on the wall when she saw someone coming. She made use of her exoskeleton suit to magnetize her palms. She waited for the soldier to disappear up and slide down the wall and landed softly. She then sneaked through hallways. She would make use of the large passageways.
She couldn’t just walk so she had to stick like a lizard on the walls. She made sure that there was no one that noticed her. She looked around. It was a room filled with tables and chairs. She saw that there were long tables with chairs. There was a canteen and the soldiers were eating soup and bread. Some of them took out photos of their family and looked melancholic.
“I wonder if we’ll be able to go home now,” said the soldier.
“The thunder of God's test will soon happen. Maybe that will make the continent think otherwise. We beat the fucking Kraken and send brave men to kill hordes of sea fucking people. We conquered the Gigantes Sea. The Valor Empire will triumph.”

“Praise that brother, the Empire has always been victorious. We fought four hundred countries and they all fell into the hands of our Empire. We need to unite the world if we want to face the lands beyond that fall.”
“The lands beyond that fall?” Zola muttered. She leaps silently to the ceiling and listened in.
“The lands beyond that fall, to think that there might be a day that we will step and crushed those pathetic mutants. They are scourged and if we don’t purge them, I fear that this world will fall. I believe that our Valor will triumph over them.”
“Indeed, but we need to pacify the continent. It is absurd that we should wage war against this continent. The routes are bad and creating a sea line is outrageous. This whole sea is a logistic nightmare.”
“The officers back at home were scratching their heads. The Emperor wants nothing but victory. We will give the Emperor Victory, and we will not fail. Still, I understand that it is hard with all the monsters around the place. Hmm, if we can conquer more nations, then we are able to proceed with the divine right that was given to us. This world belongs to humanity, as it should be.”
...
Zola continued down the decks. Her mind was on what she heard. Indeed, she was someone pro-humanity. All the other races were not important to her. They could die for all they care. She will not care for them. She has been raised as someone that hated alien races. She only feels disgusted at the other races.
Still, Zola Dawn should not be blamed because of that. She was programmed to be a super soldier. It was not her fault that she was like that.

She continued down the hallways. She examined the submarine’s reactor. She said, “To think that they’d be able to achieve a fusion reactor this early. Humanity here has a greater potential, if they continue this path then by the next one hundred years...we should be able to conquer the stars.”
Zola was taught that humanity comes first. The demesne has greater technologies. If they merge with this Empire then there was a big chance that humanity will become to ruler the stars. It was a great chance. She could lead humanity beyond.
She possesses the Omni-Forge. The accumulation of humanity and the Quietus, if someone could harness the information on her Omni-Forge she was sure that humanity could achieve greater means. The world was a thousand times better. The planet was the biggest planet she has stepped in. The calculations she did probed that. Who knows what lies beyond the lands? How many nations have formed on this planet?
Zola started to ponder deeply. She was here to take care of the Empire. But the information she was getting made her think twice. “Maybe I could work something out?” she thought. She went out of the engine room and went to the cargo bay of the submarine/ship.
The bay was filled with tanks and flying machines. She spotted a helicopter and there were tanks that were being maintained. An engineer was adjusting what seemed to be a four-wheel jeep. There was a group of engineers making use of tools and cranes to assemble the tanks.
“The Demesne has advanced walkers and four-legged tanks. They can easily tear through these machines. Still, the plating on these tanks is quite something, and they have heat-seeking missiles? Wait...do they have a computer?” Zola thought as she skidded softly towards the cabin. She looked around and spotted a machine that resembled a computer. She approached the computer and hacked into their database. She went through the information but there was no relevant information she could use.
“Looks like my only choice is to find the commander of this vessel,” she thought. She went out of the cabin and sneaked through the hallways and listened in to the people around him. She heard relevant information from the officers that were chatting.
She followed the information and she climbed up the deck and went to where the ‘commander’ of the ship was. The control room was vacant, but she heard that the commander was in the observation room. So she crept through every person that was on the ship and slowly unlocked the observation room.
She slid inside and saw a man wearing a military coat, his band was behind his back and his stern back faced Zola. The man turned around and looked at Zola calmly.
“So you are the person that killed all my scouts. You manage to sneak inside...who are you?”

Updates at least every Monday, Thursday, and every other Sarturday, (from 26/11/2021). This is primarily a story exploring what it means to be human, using a lens of a hopefully real-feeling fantasy world. This story is not a power fantasy or a traditional Litrpg , while it has elements of these genres, it will focus on how these tropes would influence real people and possibly Redshirt will break some of these tropes along the way. There will be a variety of different characters and perspectives, some you hate, some you love, and some that will frustrate. Just as all people do. I don't believe there will be anything overly traumatic or explicit, but it's better to be safe than sorry. There will be some heavy topics explored, the characters views do not reflect the authors; however, if there is an issue in how I present/understand these issues please do tell me, and I will try my best to rectify it.
