Chapter 186 – Salevela Conflict 7
The sunlight has rested. The stars filled the sky. Nebulas and galaxies intertwined as the two moons of the world danced in the sky. As if there was some higher being that spilled sparkling stones in the sky. The ocean got higher as a result of the two moons.
The boats quivered as the waves got higher. The spectacle above reflected at the base of the water. As if the water and the sky were the same. The fleet of ships looked like they were swimming in the stars. The ships floated without any reaction as the bombardment of the island lessened.
The tower that was far in the distance acted as the spotlight. It was far easier to judge and without the sun’s light guiding them. It was hard for the navigators and the captains to steer their boats forward. Doing so would amount to nothing but suicide.
There two moons up in the sky. But the Gigantes Sea was teeming with danger. There were many factors that made the crew and sailors amongst the ships to speak of the horrors below the deep sea. The generals and the captains of the ships didn’t sneer at the superstitious thought of the crew.
Technology progress was always welcomed. There are those who would shout ‘whoa’ at the machines. But people wouldn’t dismiss the tales of the folks that chanted tales of horror. It was before the sudden technological shift happen. People would dismiss the thought as nothing.
But flying ships that were caused by runic stones? Mythical beings that travel the lands made them think otherwise. If the monsters are real and If the so-called ‘runes’ are no longer deem as extinct. How can the sailors ignore the tales that they have heard?
Not to mention that the blood on the seas hasn’t disappeared. The corpses drifted to the shores of the island. The skyships that should have been flying were on standby. The whole fleet was deathly silent. The only thing that could be heard was the people’s noises.

The island was lit by the lamps. It wasn’t only a fortress island. It was a community and so the lights among the houses on the sides of the island were lit. No doubt there were soldiers waiting for them if they would breach the island.
The barges that were floating on the sea were silent as well. But in the silence, there were five groups that were garb in grayish black outfits being lowered down at the other side of the ships. They were equipped with long tubes and floating devices that were powered by a hand pedal. The hand pedal was attached to a turbine that would allow them to move underwater sneakily.
The group was armed to the teeth. Their equipment was loaded into bags that were waterproofed. Each one of them was carefully selected to be the best of the best. The ‘sky warriors’ that would be the dropping down are nothing but the second best of the best.
Dolce wouldn’t have known this if his brother didn’t tell him. She watched the group of sea warriors dive down and disappear from her view. She moved to the other side and saw the bubbles that were being released by the divers. The divers weren’t only equipped with the floating devices and the long tubes. They have the wind runes that would help them get under the wall of light that the island defenders built.
It was created by shining down the lights on their battlements. The light tower acted as the spotlight of the defenders. But the battlements acted as the screener. It allowed them to bombard any enemy that tried to take a step on their beloved island.
The divers slowly moved under the sea. The soldiers that were on the barges didn’t make any noises. They only stared at the divers who moved slowly under them. They were still visible but as they move away from the lights of the fleet. They became invisible.

None of them can see the divers anymore. Dolce looked at the empty ocean with her binoculars. She could not see the divers but she could still spot the bubbles that were floating above. The bubbles that were produced by the floating device and the runes were the only thing that she was following.
The bubbles moved along the sea without any problem. Dolce followed them as they cross the screen of light. The divers increased their speed as they reach the threshold. The island was unsuspecting. They knew about the flying ships and the runes that could allow them to fly through the air.
But how could they ever anticipate that they’d be used to move underwater too?
The divers swam through until they were able to reach the beach. Dolce watched as the group that was sent to the island slowly made their way to the forest. They unloaded their weapons and armed themselves with tools that were foreign to the normal soldiers. In the few weeks, they were trained to use them. They were soldiers that were used to sword and firearms.
They have spent their life killing. They fought through many battlefields and survive stronger and more experience. The men were ready. They passed through the forest and disappeared. Dolce put her binoculars down and crossed her arms. She waited for a while before she eventually heard the gunfire coming from the island.
That was the sign that the fleet needed. The artillery ships turned their guns on the island and they started to open fire. The successive fire of the artillery shook the sea. The people onboard covered their ears as guns fire at the island.
The skyships floated above the air. The barges that were on standby moved towards the island. There loud footsteps around the ship. Dolce gestured at the Henry and Elesia. She strides towards her skyship and took a step on the rampart of the skyship. The crew welcomed Dolce. She nodded at them
She waded through the passageway and entered her room. She put her jacket down and sat on her bed. The barrage of artillery made her almost deft. The skyship lifted up and only that made her feel a bit calm. She took a nap and waited for Elesia to wake her up.
The incoming hours would be hard to her.

The only places I have posted the story and allow it to exist are on RoyalRoad, Scribblehub, and my Patreon. So the world ended. Whoopsie? We didn’t even see it coming. Quite literally as it came at us faster than the speed of light. Don’t worry though, it got better. Also, I am not joking about the world ending. Most people say that and mean humans are inconvenienced for some reason. Nope, all matter disintegrated at the atomic scale there for a few moments. Apparently the local universe wasn’t actually stable? Don’t ask me to go into too much detail. It would require both of us to have a few more college degrees than sense, and I at least lack them (both the degrees and the sense). Anyway, the energy/matter/wibbly wobbly strings were at a local minimum and not the universal minimum. Basically, what we took for sea level was actually a nice little mountain lake and when the dam busted so did, well, everything. Now here is where things go a bit off track with what normal meant before. You see magic is real, qi is real, gods are real. Not on old Earth mind you but souls pay little attention to time and space so we dreamed of it. In fact, the closer the shift in reality got to Earth, the closer our dreams got to the new reality. This is basically me tip toeing around the fact that it was a ‘System Apocalypse’. Reality became a video game, I became a dungeon, and this is my story. Doyle Huxley just wanted a normal life but as the above might clue you in on that just isn’t in the cards. He gets to experience a “Path Based System Apocalypse” and some early paths he takes, both literally and figuratively, lead to him becoming a dungeon. The aim is to release chapters once a week on Friday. Cursing will be avoided and no naughty adult action will take place in the story.

8 148A festering world
A story about the apparition of the system on Earth, and the adventures of John on a festering world. Contain a lot of mythological figures like the four horsemen, eldritchs and a shitload of gods. Warning: This is my first story and English is not my native language so the story will probably be bad but I will try to improve. I write this story for fun, there is currently no release schedule.
8 98The Tapestry: To Order From Chaos
What would you do if a god asked you to write your own life story for them? Handed you the pen and gave you permission to write whatever you wanted. Would you be the shining hero with their clipped one-liners? The villain with their bombastic speeches? Would you want your life to be a romance or an adventure? What if you wanted it to be a mystery? Lilly is a Changeling Bard who better pick a favorite genre quickly because the god who wants her story is Lucifer. And he is not a patient deity.
