Chapter 180 – Salevela Conflict 1
Dolce waited for a week before Don decided to finally act. Don told Dolce. “We will be now heading back. I assume that you will have no problem with me boarding your ship?”
“Not all,” Dolce replied. The two then head to the skyship Dolce owns. The crew welcomed the lady back. They didn’t say anything towards Don other than the normal greeting. Don didn’t care about their hospitality. He asked where his cabin was and locked himself inside.
Dolce didn’t bother. She went to her room and fiddled with her rifle. Elesia followed and helped Dolce on her rifle. She also tampered with the flak vest that the demesne gave Dolce. It was quite a long time since Dolce communicated with the Princess so she called the princess through the voice communicator.
Dolce sat on her bed. Elesia moved the black box communicator as static sounded. The Princess’s voice sounded out. Dolce tilted her head and gave her report.
“I see. So you are heading to the island to join the fight?” the princess said. “What made you change your mind?”
“Nothing, I merely wanted to do this, Princess. I know that I owe you. I have a great debt towards you, Princess Cyra. But I need to do this. If I don’t then I doubt that I’d be following you. I can always shut myself in somewhere and hide.”
“Hah, is that so? I permit you to join the battle. Just radio me again if you want to go back. I have a lot of things to consider,” the princess sound tired.
“What’s happening around their at the moment?” Dolce asked.
“Trouble,” Princess Cyra said. “A lot of it, we have Zola taking care of Imperial Pests. We have High Lords trying to assassinate a person that might help repel the invasion. Luckily, Archie and Joshua were able to help this lady?”

“Joshua?’ Dolce reacted. “Is the person a woman?”
“Yes,” Cyra said. “What of it?”
“Nothing at all,” Dolce said, her face burning with jealousy.
“Eiya will need help. Joshua and Archie, along with Alexander does a good job of keeping her safe. Other than them, there are minor things that are not needed to worry about.”
“Is that so?” Dolce replied. “In any case, if I am done, may I join them?”
“No, there would be no need,” the Princess replied.
“Why?”
“They can handle it. Focus on whatever you are doing. You owe me, Dolce.”
The transmission was cut. Dolce put the receiver down and stared emptily at space for a while. Her eyes were cold. Elesia looked at her lady for a while before excusing herself out.
Dolce sorted her mind. She cooled her head and took a deep breath. She just needs to get this farce done and she could do something about. She wanted to be sure so she called Alexander’s sky cruiser. It took quite a while but Alexander responded. Dolce asked questions. Alexander answered.
Alexander’s reply eased her up. She finally settled down and lied on her bed. She felt that the skyship was lifting off. There was shaking and she had to hold on tight. She felt woozy but it vanished as the skyship started moving. Dolce looked at the ceiling. She turned and observed her room. She stood up. She took her clothes off and tucked herself inside her blanket. She closed her eyes. She fell asleep.
...
Dolce woke up. She clothed herself and placed her foot on the floor. She lifted herself up and dragged herself to the table. She looked at her rifle and tampered with it. She modified it to her liking for two hours. She then messed with the flak vest she has and then prepared her pouches.

She fitted in ammunition inside the pouches. She has a box of magazines on her table. The ammunition she was using was the same ammunition that the demesne used. She was given a crate worth of them and the crate was just at the corner of her room.
She put the magazine inside her pouches carefully. Then, she took her pistol and cleaned it. She has been studying the pistol she was given, along with the rifle. So she was able to disassemble it and cleaned it. She took the oil and cleaned it. She wiped the barrel. She checked the parts. Then she reassembled it. She checked the sight of her pistol and made sure that it was fine.
The door opened. Elesia brought food so Dolce ate. She then went back to fiddling with her weapons. She looked obsessed about it but in reality, she was just bored. She even forgot to put on underwear. She was sweaty all over and since her clothes were bothering her. She took it off and worked on her weapon while half-naked.
Sweat runs down her armpits, her back shone, and she was giving this seductive appearance. It was Dolce’s private cabin and since no one but Elesia was allowed. She was not afraid that someone would barge in. And if there was anyone who she didn’t know would. There was a big chance she would just shoot them. The crew already knew Dolce so there was no that dared.
So Dolce was able to continue what she was doing undisturbed. But by the time she was done. It was already night. There were still quite away from the island so she could only lie back down. She wasn’t wearing and her round perky breast was exposed. She touched her breast and looked at her hand. She finally realized she was sweaty so she grabbed a towel lying near her bed and wiped her sweat. She tossed the towel back and went back lying around.
She stared at the ceiling dazedly. Her thoughts went blank. She could hear the sound of the thrusts of the skyship. There was chatter outside her cabin but it was tolerable enough. There was a smell of oil around her room. She has gotten used to it so she just has to wait for Elesia to take care of it.
Dolce hasn’t been on a battlefield before. She has witnessed the bombardments done to Avilla. But she never really got to see it up close. She witnessed death and despair but actually stepping into a battlefield made her wonder what she should feel.
