Chapter 146 – Winters Chaotic Dance (3)
Elesia has been with her since she could remember. She still could remember the day she met Elesia. It was the time she was eight when she met the utterly useless Elesia. It was a strange time where she watches her slowly grows into a fine servant. Dolce was someone who rarely goes out. Either she was reading books inside her room or learning how to defend herself in the courtyard. She was always with her.
When she feels sad and lonely or when she thinks that there was no one that loved her. Elesia was always with her. She would be standing with her usual calm face, always looking out for her. Dolce is confident that even if everybody hates her. Elesia would always be with her. Her father never cared for her and she didn’t spend that much time with her mother. So in her mind, Elesia was her only friend and family.
So now that she was seeing Elesia’s stomach bleeding. All the thought of trying to go after the assailant halted. She hurried to her side. She was clueless about what she was going to do. She was panicking. Henry rubbed his head. He looked at the bleeding Elesia and the panicked Dolce. He stood up and gently pushed Dolce away. He looked at Elesia’s wound and told the lady that she should have medical attention.
Dolce nodded her head. She contacted the skyship and told them to hurry. She was fuming with anger. The crew from the other side could tell that they shouldn’t dawdle around. Henry stopped Elesia’s bleeding. She was hit by a shard of rock and all Henry could do was pull the shard out carefully and put pressure on it.
The hallway was being filled with smoke. They couldn’t stay where they were so Henry carried Elesia to a balcony where they could breathe properly. Dolce followed while shouting at the communicator with fury. She told them to hurry up and before long the skyship arrived.

Three crewmen from the demesne took Elesia and Henry. The crewmen were about to offer their hand towards Dolce but she shook her head. Elesia, who regain some consciousness, looked at Dolce shooing the crewman away. She wanted to stand up. She has never left her master’s side and seeing her figure getting farther. She felt like she was abandoned.
Henry wanted to follow Dolce. But seeing the look on her face made him unable to do so. It was clear that she wanted Elesia to be safe and someone to accompany her. With him near Elesia, he could report what’s her condition. Still, he thought how dangerous Dolce was going.
The skyship flew. The rampart was still open, and Henry could see the Lord Officiator’s building smoking. The roads were starting to swarm with soldiers and carriages filled with Templars. Henry doesn’t know who was attacking the building. But with that amount of Templars. He wondered what the assailant was going to do. How was he or she going to escape?
...
Dolce looked at the skyship disappearing. That was great, she thought. She couldn’t care less for the civilians or the poor people that were around the tower. All she cared for was Elesia. No matter what happens she will prioritize her more than anyone.
“Now,” she said with cold fury. “Where do I found you bastard?” It was personal now. At first, she only wanted to prevail against this enemy. Yet now she was eager to rip him or her apart for what she did. It doesn’t matter what the assailant’s goal. All she wanted now was to find the bastard and make him or she feel how it was like to have their stomach bleeding.
She trotted inside the building. She looked from left to right. There was smoke coming from everywhere. She couldn’t breathe so she had to make due by wrapping a handkerchief around her face. She continued walking down the hall until she reached a collapsed door. She peeked into the hall through the door and saw that she could still blast her way through the rubble.

Dolce reached for a grenade in one of her pockets. She placed it in the hole and primed it. Taking cover, she waited for the grenade to explode before continuing forward. There were still four floors until she could reach the upper flower. It seemed stupid going out there but she thought that the assailant must have been near to trigger the blast. Of course, she thought maybe the assailant timed the bomb somewhere or rigged it to explode. But this was the Lord Officiator’s building. It was already a surprise how he was able to blow the explosives. And besides, if the assailant truly wanted to kill the Lord Officiator. He or she needs to confirm that the kill was made.
No matter how much the assailant tries. There can never be a perfect plan. There would be a big chance that the Lord Officiator survived the initial blast. Dolce couldn’t hear any gunshot or explosion so she assumed that the assailant wasn’t found yet.
She climbed a flight of stairs. The stairs were wobbly and the door was half-shattered. She found herself on another floor and she saw guardsmen tending to their wounded. She approached one of the guardsmen and asked a few question. After that, she marched to the stairs only to be blocked by two guardsmen. The guardsmen were about to join their brothers. They needed to rescue them and they couldn’t afford being distracted. Dolce, however, manages to convince them by saying her title and that she has a skyship that could evacuate them.
So with the guards convinced they decided to head straight up. It was tough to breathe through the smoke but luckily they found breathing masks. They scoured the whole floor for survivors and they were able to find two who were trapped and rescued them from certain death.
Dolce followed the guardsmen. They were looking for survivors while keeping an eye out for anyone that might look like the bastard who started this chaos. There were about four floors that they needed to cover. The smoke was getting thicker as they press on but it didn’t matter. Dolce wanted to find the assailant and make him or feel the pain of having a bleeding stomach.
