The time for dance and singing is over,
Dinner has been given to the dog rover.
The pencils have been put away,
To be played with for another day.
No more skipping, jumping or rubbing your eyes,
And you know as much as anything, no why's.
A splish splash in the bath has been done,
The hallway is free from your run.
The TV has been turned off,
The sun has had enough!
Hugs and kisses have been given for free,
Now all that is left, is to say goodnight to me!
Now my sweet little one,
Today is almost done!
Tomorrow is a new day,
And I'm positive it will be ok!
Sweet dreams and much love to you,
As I dream and then wake up to you too.
