[Gained 3000 exp (x3 multiplier)]
When Maria was about to cleave down with her ax, she was shocked to see that the monster had been burnt into a gruesome heap of flesh. The pile of flesh that was once the monster began to disintegrate, leaving behind some particles of light glowing in the air.
Those light particles flowed into her ax and the red veins began to pulsate and her HP recovered by a sizeable amount.

Lizzy was worried when the wolf suddenly bit her friend, but she grew astonished seeing the fierce retaliation. The follow-up skill that combusted the wolf into a ball of black flames had also shocked her. However, seeing the green and blue numbers pop above Maria’s avatar was even more astonishing.
‘She has a lifesteal and manasteal this early into the game?’ Lizzy thought in surprise.
She was just about to express her shock, but the wolves surrounding her didn’t give her the chance.
Maria quickly noticed her friend’s plight and rushed over to attack another wolf. The two worked together and quickly felled another monster.
The third and last wolf quickly followed suit and the battle ended. By the end of it, Maria’s weapon and gray-colored clothes were stained with a lot of the monsters’ blood. She had been carelessly waving her ax around so it was understandable.
[Gained 9000 exp (x3 multiplier)]
The two had obtained a handsome amount of experience. However, to Maria, it was only a drop in the ocean. She needed a large amount of experience to level up. Despite having killed off monsters twice her level, and although she had to split the experience with Lizzy, it was but a handful amount compared to the ocean of experience she needs to raise her level.
“Mary, did you just use some kind of lifesteal and manasteal skill?” Lizzy immediately asked.
“Hmmm...? Oh! That! It’s actually a part of my weapon’s skill! Here, let me show you!”
Maria opened her weapon’s information window and showed it to Lizzy. The girl could only stare incredulously at the stats of the weapon. It was an early game growth-type weapon that was totally broken!
“...1 active skill and 3 passives...so many absurd stats AND it’s a growth-type weapon...Mary, you could basically act as a tank, healer, and DPS!”
“Eheheh~”
“Okay, let’s push forward just like this!”

“Un!”
The two moved onwards to their destination. Any monster in their path was quickly dispatched by the two and they gained a hefty amount of experience from all their battles. They reached Almester Village after 1 in-game day.
During this time Lizzy had raised her level by 1, but she suddenly noticed that her friend hadn’t once gone up 1 level despite being only level 7. She was practically getting a bonus for killing monsters above her level so this puzzled the girl.
“Hey, Mary...how come you haven’t gone up a level yet? I mean, I’m already level 16, but you’re still level 7!”
“Huh? R-really?”
“Yeah, like aren’t you getting a lot of exp? So how come you haven’t raised your level yet?!”
“Uhm...my exp is only 50% full...”
“What?! Okay, pull up your [Status]!”
Maria quickly opened up her [Status] and showed it to Lizzy. This caused the girl to facepalm and she chided her friend.
“Mary...Make sure you NEVER show your [Status] to anyone...okay?”
“Huh? A-aren’t you being a little contradicting right now?”
“Yeah! But with the way you just so quickly showed your [Status] to me, it seemed like you’ll just show it to just anyone who asked you!”
“I-I’m not that stupid! It’s because it’s Lizzy that I don’t mind!”
“Good! Remember, your [Status] is the MOST important and private menu! Don’t let others see it! That'll only be a one-time thing for me as well, alright?”
“Okay!”
“Now, let’s see what the problem—Woah! That’s such an absurd amount!”

“W-what’s with this absurd menu?! You have 145 FSPs?!”
“Huh?”
“Also that absurd amount of experience to level up! That’s practically 10 times what I needed at that level!”
Lizzy began scrutinizing her friend’s status menu and quickly found the multipliers for her friend. She had high multipliers for HP, MP, SP, EXP, STR, INT, and VIT not to mention Maria’s LCK stat had started as the game’s current limit!

“Mary, you get twice as much FSPs than players of the same level...I only get 10 FSP per level while you get 20 per level. Now I understand why you have such an absurdly high EXP multiplier...”
“Uhm...FSPs...That means Free Stat Points, right?”
“Yeah, you have high STR, INT, and VIT stat multipliers, so you should distribute the points in those stats, you could also add some for AGI since if it's low, then you’ll Movement Speed and Attack Speed will be slow!”
“Okay!”
“But, I recommend putting most of that into INT and VIT, since you still are a Priestess after all!”
“Okay!”
“Don’t just keep saying ‘okay’! Ahh, anyway, Maria, you decide for yourself where you want to put those in, it’s your character after all! I’m just giving you suggestions.”
“Un!”
Lizzy could only sigh at her friend’s questionable luck. She had experienced something gruesome from the start, but it was a blessing in the guise of misfortune. She gained a powerful race, was compensated by the GMs with an absurd weapon, and she still hadn’t asked about the skill she had used earlier.
It was actually the other way around though. The GMs compensated Maria with a skill, but the weapon she got was totally just because of her luck.
Maria began distributing all her points on the spot. She put 75 points in INT, 35 in VIT, 25 in STR, and 10 points in AGI. Her stats were refreshed and she smiled in satisfaction at the high numbers.

In Unitale, you couldn’t distribute points into your LCK stat as it was fixed from the beginning. The highest possible stat was 10 while the lowest was actually a 0. It could even fall into the negatives if you encountered something really unfortunate. However, Maria thought she was just plain unfortunate despite having a 10.
She had to experience such a tragedy just as she landed in the game, but in hindsight, that led to her becoming a Fallen Angel, acquiring the Dark Priestess Hidden Legacy Class, the Calamity, and many other rewards.
However, all she saw was the misfortune that befell her from the start of the game. The following rewards she didn’t have a clear understanding of so she couldn’t tell how lucky she was as of now.
“Alright, now that we’re here...where are the rest?” Maria said as she looked back up at Lizzy.
Seeing as her friend was finished, Lizzy stood up and replied.
“Not sure...Almester Village is a little closer to the Light Faction territory. That’s why we took a while to get here on foot...they should be here by now!”
Lizzy didn’t look at her while she was distributing her stats. She had a gamer’s pride that Maria didn’t understand. So despite being her friend and despite her overwhelming curiosity...Lizzy restrained herself from taking a peek at Maria’s stats.
They walked around the village looking for their friends. However, after taking a few laps around the place, the 2 couldn’t find them.
“What’s taking them so long?” Lizzy raised her voice in dissatisfaction. “They couldn’t have bailed on us...right?”
“Huh? Knowing those 2, they wouldn’t do that Liz!”
“Yeah...but what’s taking them so long! Arrrghhh!!” Lizzy grew bored of just waiting and looking around for almost an hour or so. It would have been better if they just spent that time hunting around the village!
With Maria’s high damage, the two could hunt just fine by themselves!
“Hey, Liz, why not use that video calling thing you did with me?”
“I can’t Mary...I don’t have any of them on my friend’s list. Different faction players can add each other as friends, but they have to meet up and do it face-to-face.”
“Why?”
“The game developers thought that it was necessary. Since there will be guilds later in the game if the players were able to just wantonly add friends with each other as long as they knew each other’s IGNs then the opposing faction guilds could just plant spies into each other’s territories.”
“Uhh...”
“Never mind Mary, you don’t need to worry about all those complicated things!”
“Okay...”

Dungeon's Path
The only places I have posted the story and allow it to exist are on RoyalRoad, Scribblehub, and my Patreon. So the world ended. Whoopsie? We didn’t even see it coming. Quite literally as it came at us faster than the speed of light. Don’t worry though, it got better. Also, I am not joking about the world ending. Most people say that and mean humans are inconvenienced for some reason. Nope, all matter disintegrated at the atomic scale there for a few moments. Apparently the local universe wasn’t actually stable? Don’t ask me to go into too much detail. It would require both of us to have a few more college degrees than sense, and I at least lack them (both the degrees and the sense). Anyway, the energy/matter/wibbly wobbly strings were at a local minimum and not the universal minimum. Basically, what we took for sea level was actually a nice little mountain lake and when the dam busted so did, well, everything. Now here is where things go a bit off track with what normal meant before. You see magic is real, qi is real, gods are real. Not on old Earth mind you but souls pay little attention to time and space so we dreamed of it. In fact, the closer the shift in reality got to Earth, the closer our dreams got to the new reality. This is basically me tip toeing around the fact that it was a ‘System Apocalypse’. Reality became a video game, I became a dungeon, and this is my story. Doyle Huxley just wanted a normal life but as the above might clue you in on that just isn’t in the cards. He gets to experience a “Path Based System Apocalypse” and some early paths he takes, both literally and figuratively, lead to him becoming a dungeon. The aim is to release chapters once a week on Friday. Cursing will be avoided and no naughty adult action will take place in the story.
