《Universe Tales: Virtual Log of the Fallen One》Best Friends

The morning classes quickly passed. Just like Gerald said, many eyes were turning towards Maria because of the promotional video.
But the girl was too busy conversing with her friends to notice any of them.
It was currently lunchtime. Lizzy and Maria were both eating at the cafeteria with all their other friends. The previously mentioned Amanda and Milly were also present.
Zack was Amanda’s little brother who was still in middle school so there was no way he was present.
“So it really was you, Maria!”
“Ehehehe, yes it was...I’m embarrassed now that you all are making such a big deal out of it~”
“Haaahhh...leave it to our clueless missy to go ahead and do something big right from the start!”
Amanda and Milly were currently pestering Maria with questions about the game and the video.
Amanda Greenich was an athletic girl with short blonde hair reaching down only to her neck. She had light green eyes and was awfully tall for a girl. Her height was precisely 192 cm and she very much minded her height, although it was such a great advantage since she was part of the track and field team of Heimwald Private High.
Milly, who was still bombarding Maria with questions even until now, was a wealthy young missy from the Welstein family. Her family was business partners with Maria’s and they were childhood friends.
She was also an avid gamer just like Lizzy. Milly was the first to introduce Maria to Lizzy when they were still kids and Maria was ever so grateful for it.
“Well, if you guys want to know about it...me changing into a Fallen Angel wasn’t exactly a pleasant experience...”
Her friends were pestering her about the new and unique race. Milly was also a BT alongside Lizzy, so she was very curious as to how her friend was able to acquire such a race.

It had to be known that in Unitale, a race was not just there for aesthetic and divisional purposes. A race granted many unique perks to the player and every race’s stat multipliers were different from each other.
Take for instance Lizzy’s Demon Dragonoid race. It had high STR, INT, and VIT multipliers so it was a good race to change into for an all-rounder type of game style. The Elves had high AGI, INT, and MP multipliers, and also the racial perks were good if you wanted to play the mage, archer, or thief classes.
“Ah! I didn’t know about this...” Maria whined.
“You can look at it later! Just remember to open your [Status] and click on your [Race], another window will show that’ll describe your race’s advantages,” Milly answered.
“Okay, now with that out of the way. Tell us how you changed your race!” Lizzy urged.
They knew for a fact that their clueless friend here wouldn’t have knowingly changed into a new race. So they wanted to know what she experienced to acquire the Fallen Angel race.
Maria naturally told them of her experience and it nearly broke their hearts.
“Y-you...you went through such pains...”
“Oh geez, didn’t I tell you to change the parameters before moving around?!”
“S-sorry Liz...It was just... I was so fascinated by flying through the air so I forgot all about it!”
Lizzy and Amanda could only sigh at her thoughtless actions. She always did have a one-tracked mind so it was understandable, but to think it led to her experiencing such a traumatizing event. They were glad that she came out of that while still keeping her nerves intact.
She could have developed a psychological phobia to any form of pain if things had gone really wrong.

“We should report this to the GMs...They should tone down the pain parameters right from the start. A realistic setting is fine and all, but this might hurt the game later on when they eventually expand the age restrictions...not to mention all the clueless people like Maria here who wouldn’t know anything about the settings...” Milly said solemnly.
Maria remembered that the AI-possessed wolf said something similar, but since it was the AI, then maybe those adjustments have already been made?
“Well, the AI that I met already informed the Main AI about it...so maybe the settings have already been changed?”
“Yeah...but we should still file a report...we don’t want such a good game to suddenly go out of business because of hindsight...”
“O-okay...”
“Well, anyway. Make sure you keep those parameters low...but to think you can change races from overusing a skill...that’s new.”
They continued talking about the game and some other stuff until the bell rang and afternoon classes began.
When it was time to go home, Maria was picked up by her brother. She bade farewell to her friends and promised to meet up with everyone later in-game. Of course, she would finish all her homework first before diving into the game.
*****
“Huuuuuhh...okay, that’s the last problem for math...” Maria said as she stretched her body. She quickly went to the bathroom for a quick wash up and had the maids bring her a light meal before she jumped once more into the game.
“Okay, it’s 5 now. I’ll play until dinner time, log off and eat, before continuing again later.”
Maria lied down on her bed and gleefully put the FD gear over her head.
“Connection Start!”

Saints and Suffering: A Naruto Fanfiction
Synopsis: Naruto and Sasuke were unable to defeat Kaguya the first time around, and suffer immensely for their failure. They travel back in time to right their wrongs, but struggle with the repercussions of their failure and the unintended consequences of their actions. Author's Note: This is fanfiction, I am a first time author, and I make no claims nor guarantees to quality. I have another story floating around in my head, but I am writing this first in order to practice my skills and gain feedback. Please feel free to give constructive criticism, I will try to read and respond. No guarantees to upload schedule or speed will be made. I work a full time job, and I am not particularly fast at writing, though maybe speed will increase as I become more practiced with my storytelling. This work will essentially be my playground moving forward; I'm going to write about scenarios that tickle my fancy, and the overall story may suffer from it. I will endeavor to keep continuity though. I have an outline that I am working on, and there is an overall arc to the story already. Furthermore, as of the beginning of this novel, my intention with this novel is to explore negative emotions and use my writing as a form of meditation/therapy. When I am sad, I will write sad things, and when I'm happy, the story will be happy. Lastly, there will be religious undertones every once in a while. Hopefully nothing too heavy handed though.
