《Era: Dawn of the New Gods》Chapter 261: Zivon Reigns

Mira’s form solidified and her eyes sharpened till the point where she could identify microorganisms in the air, but she couldn’t still see the weapon. She sharpened her vision even further and then she saw it. Billions of tiny dots surrounded her from every point; the weapon was a virus.
Mira felt experiences involving mass deaths due to sickness. She was thrown into a dream where countless civilizations fell to extremely contagious sicknesses, invalidating every military power, consuming economies, toppling empires. While the cause of the downfall, the pathogens, just lived their lives they way they were supposed to, ignorant of the devastation they caused.
Normally Mira’s physique and the fact that she had fused with her diamonds meant no virus could enter her body talk less of surviving in it. But she wasn’t dumb to think that a virus that was a Tier 5 armament would have problems afflicting her.
She was right in assuming so. The plague state of Sarganox was extremely slow so it took some time to move. But it made up for this slowness with its extreme lethality. The virus was not the effect of the weapon like the mercury snake was so it would vanish if Zivon changed Sarganox’s form. But when it entered a host’s body it would swiftly adapt and transform itself into a living poison that was extremely deadly to the host. Consuming vital nutrients and cells and excreting lethal poisons and materials while reproducing.
The weapon was even more dangerous since it would keep evolving to be even deadlier as the host persevered and even if Zivon changed the weapons state, he could always create the deadly poison without the host body at a later time with the virus form.
Mira considered using morphing to split herself into small particles like the virus and evade them but she knew she didn’t have such control yet. She considered loosening the condensed space around her and trying to teleport out of the virus encirclement but she knew Zivon was a mage type; there was a good chance he could manipulated the space around her like Jade did and end the fight swiftly.

Mira racked her brain for a solution and she soon found one, she took her time to think about how to turn this near defeat to a win as the virus closed in. She smiled and thought ‘Every advantage has a disadvantage this fight is about to end soon’.
Eight balls of shining diamond separated from Mira’s body and went into the area filled the virus, surrounding Mira. Mira used her soul’s ability with the balls and they transformed into irresistible gravity centers for the viruses.
Although Mira didn’t know this Sarganox was Zivon’s soul extension just like Jade’s third eye. Hence it had a piece of Zivon’s soul. Mira’s ability drew at things that had souls only, hence they worked on Sarganox.
The force that controlled the virus was too spread out so it barely mounted a resistance to the pull. The virus particles were swiftly magnetized to the balls of shining diamond, creating a safe path for Mira towards the balled up snake.
Mira transformed to her Lepus (Hare) form and zipped towards Zivon. The temperature of the atmosphere swiftly dropped as she approached. She extended a leg and spun condensing all the force in her flight into an axe kick that was jerked forward with diamond explosions.
The snake and barriers that appeared only amounted to a pitiful defense as her foot cracked through the mercury, exposing the armored Zivon who hosted a broad smile.

Mira’s instincts screamed at her but the information was gargled. Her intent sense was unclear too so she decided to go back on the defensive. She detonated all the diamonds on her to block against whatever Zivon was planning. It was a simple but effective move that created distance and defended against any influence.
“Reign, Zivon Reigns”. A transparent bubble of unknown materials expanded from Zivon’s head. It wasn’t his energy zone; that was already expanded. It felt like energy but also felt like an illusion that was overlapping with reality.

The energy explosion touched the expanding bubble without any hindrance… then it stopped. The bubble soon covered Mira and her diamond explosion. Little plants began growing from the empty space as if it was soil, sprouting flowers and leaves.
Mira could move freely within the bubble even though her explosion had paused so she immediately tried to fly out of it. Mira flew for a while before realizing she was not making any actual progress. It didn’t take much for her to realize she was under spatial manipulation. She checked that space was still condensed around her and thought ‘But this is impossible’.
Zivon smiled and said “Nothing is impossible”. He had read her mind.
…
Chao Feng stood up from his seat as he stared at the hologram of what was happened in shock. Yu’s jaw dropped as he beheld the spectacle of what was happening.
Chao Feng looked to Yu and said “What is that?” Yu turned to his hologram and said “I… I don’t know”. Chao Feng said “What? How come?” Yu said “He didn’t use this in his spar”.
Chao Feng said “He’s too powerful to be in the competition. Did you taunt him well when you sparred him?” Yu frowned and retorted “I did ok?! He hid this… thing for some reason. I wouldn’t be able to beat him if he used this”.
Yu turned to see an expression of recognition on Avatari’s face. Yu asked “You know what it is?” Avatari nodded and said “Yes, it’s the bane of all martial artists and a trump card of mine. I didn’t know someone else already achieved it, the world is really big… I’m not special” her voice grew depressed towards the end.
