Mira went back to the front of Tian’s cave. She saw Tian and Daisuke, Daisuke said “I saw your fight, they came to you right? Where else would you have gotten that mace”
Mira’s brows furrowed and she said “Did someone also come to you?” Daisuke nodded and said “They taught me how to make my own Sutras”. Mira said “Really?! And I just got this stupid mace. What a rip-off!”
Tian looked at both of them in confusion and asked “What are you talking about?” Mira said “Someone paid us to leave this city for an hour after our last fight”.
Tian said “Eh?! Wait… Why am I just hearing of this?” Mira said “I don’t know. Are you guys auctioning something tomorrow or something?” Reading Tian’s perplexed expression Mira got her answer, No.
With a look of realization, Mira said “Oh someone’s going to attack this city. But who would dare? Chao Feng is really strong”. Tian said “And that makes it all the more ominous if the person is willing to challenge us. Tell me about how you got this offer”.
Mira and Daisuke explained their meeting with the people who traded with them. After they were done Tian thought ‘High Humans working for someone else, very fishy. And the fact that I just learnt of this, so subtle, these are really bad signs. Whoever is after us traded with the people that had connections to the city’s key individuals just the day before their deal closes. It’s like they’re announcing themselves’.
Tian perplexity only further worsened as he realized how deep the situation had gotten. The timing was too perfect to just be a coincidence. He thought ‘I need to tell someone’ before saying “I need to make a report”. He flew towards his father Yu’s residence.

The next day arrived with tension evident to Mira’s intent sensing abilities. Her bunny ears heard bit of the details in the future but all she could get was that today was going to be a very important day, not just for Wangin but for her as well.
Mira arrived for her fight with Zivon, the final fight of the bracket and the one that was going to allow her and the other participants receive the rewards for their achievements in the brackets.
The crowd cheered as Mira and Zivon arrived on the stage. The host introduced them “The final fight of the bracket competitions, Mira vs. Zivon. In her previous match, Mira shocked us by easily defeating her opponent who was thought to be invincible in 3 strikes. And now, even though her opponent’s unwounded record had been broken, hers remains intact.
Give your cheers for THE ONE WHO HAS MADE ALL HER PREVIOUS OPPONENTS SHORT WORK, THE UNWOUNDED ONE, THE ONE WHO DOES THE IMPOSSIBLE, MIRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
The crowd erupted in cheers but the cheers were even weaker than the previous match; most of the audience were Zivon stands. The host did not keep them waiting, he began his introducing Zivon “The man before us needs no introduction. He is ranked the most likely to win the tournament as a whole. With a record of instant-knockouts, he has done way more than not getting wounded in a fight due to his good dodges, none of his opponents have ever survived a strike from him.
THE ONE WHO HAS INSULTED THE STRENGTH AND COURAGE OF GREAT WARRIORS, THE SEEKER OF CHALLENGES, THE ONE LANCE FAIRY, ZIVOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
The host’s introduction continued “Before us we have the battle of two hopeless existences. The unstoppable lance and the unbreakable diamond. The victory can only be decided THROUGH BATTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

For the first time Mira got a good look at Zivon’s appearance. He looked exactly like a 12 year old. He had a Mohawk and wore a black jacket and trousers with red spikes at the seams, making him look like a rock star.
His Goth biker garb contrasted greatly with the multicolored butterfly wings on his back that flapped lazily as he floated in the air. His eyes hosted a multitude of colors chaotically arranged in curved strips.
The host announced the start of the battle and the next moment Mira had covered herself with shining diamonds. Zivon shook his head in disappointment and summoned his cargo jet sized golden lance.
Mira’s consciousness wavered and she instinctively entered her Sage Trance, the advanced form of High Mind. It was in this state that Mira realized what was happening. The effect of being around the spear was similar to the effect Charlotte, Jake’s daughter who evolved into an Olympian, had on normal people.
What was happening was that Mira’s mind was presented with an image that it refused to accept with all its might; a Forbidden Sight. The image Mira saw was a story that involved constant and eternal struggles, battle after battle after battle after battle.
It seemed to go on without perpetually; Mira’s mind was presented with eternal struggles that never saw an end; it was the eternal struggle of life. Only in her Sage Trance could she handle this image to this extent.
Then something weird happened, Mira’s mind absorbed the image and made it a part of her. Mira’s soul realm trembled and her diamonds cracked. The proper way of handling the effect of being in front of the lance was to fill one’s mind with its strongest experiences to not get taken over by the story the lance told. That was why Zivon had frustrated his first opponent for a while; he was trying to make the person draw out the most powerful emotions and feelings that could resist the spears story.
Mira could certainly do this as she had her own experiences that could counter the story of the eternal strife of life. But what she did now was considered impossible unless she absorbed the person’s soul.
Mira staggered back before gaining stability and looked at Zivon’s joyous expression at finding an opponent that could actually fight him. Mira’s IP identified the spear as [Tier 5 Armament: Spirit Lance: Sarganox].
…
Within a separate reality, 10 out of the 56 eyes of the Organizer opened and looked at the standing Mira. The eyes were glazed as they read her records and the organizer thought ‘And to think she achieved a spark without my help… an event that was beyond my predictions… there’s still hope I guess’.
The organizer’s 56 eyes opened, he intended to thoroughly understand what was happening.

Draugr Cell //Layer 01-- Investiture:
With the end of the only war to ever reach mainland Australia I found myself living out of a small room in an old military compound that had been handed over to the jurisdiction of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The end of the war, unfortunately, didn't mean the end of hostilities. The terrorism trend that had started back in the early 2000's with the attack on the world trade center over in America, had spread to just about every country on the face of the planet. Over time the constant threat from various groups meant the civilian police force was quickly undermanned, under equipped, and overwhelmed. They were simply unable to respond to the daily threats in any reasonable time frame, and in many situations lacked the both the skills and equipment required to deal with the threats to put them down in a 'safe' and expedient manner. Veterans of the war that were being reintegrated into society however, were just about everywhere, all the time. We have the training and the skills required to deal with just about any threat you care to mention, all we needed was access to the equipment to do so. In a world first, under the new Veterans program, the Australian government had taken the rather controversial step of allowing specifically selected veterans to go armed in public. Sure, with Australian weapons laws being very, very strict there were a number of hurdles to get over first, but that's where the selection part comes in. Tangentially that's actually how I met Brianna, my current partner. We work as ringers in Victory City, I thought being thrown into imptomtu combat operations and risking my life on a daily basis for barely livable wages was excitement enough. Then I met her... it... I don't know. An AI unlike anything else out there has wedged itself into my life and decided it needs to... look after me. What could possibly go wrong? **** This is the first book I have released, and my first entry into a cyberpunk universe. There is minimal drug use, a fair amount of sex, a bit of gory violence, and a sultry AI that has decided the main character needs a harem.

This is the story of an overpowered mc who keeps getting more overpowered in order to get revenge on the ones who betrayed him. I try to update this fiction daily, but stuff happens and sometimes I can't upload, so if I stop uploading chapters all of a sudden, it means something in real life came up. I will NOT drop this fiction or put it on a long hiatus, EVER! My breaks will never exceed 7 days, and I don't plan on having breaks longer than 3 days, but again, stuff happens. Also, I update frequently because the chapters I write are REALLY short. If you can bear with these flaws, then thank you, and please enjoy the story!

Game Of Thrones: Season 8 - The Right Way
Game of Thrones has been an international phenomenon... until this final season. The last few episodes went completely off the rails and everyone slams critics for saying it was bad and challenged people to write it better. I humbly want to accept that challenge and I'm giving it a shot. Some of you may like my take on things and some may not.I will (hopefully) publish each chapter as I write them, every week to two weeks, in between my daily stories and time permitting.
