Noticing that Jade could somehow control space without expanding his energy zone, she asked “How are you doing that? Your energy zone is still retracted”. Jade said “There’s no need to worry about it, my energy zone is expanded”. Mira floated around in the domain and found that her movements were unhindered. Jade said “It’s not that I can’t still control the space that you are currently occupying it is just that it will require quite a bit of effort. Yes you are currently occupying the space that your diamond takes up. There are two concepts that you need to understand.

The first is that you viewed your diamond as a material but it is energy. That is why it can turn immaterial and allow you move through it as if it was air like you’re doing now.

The second concept is the space you occupy. One of the special things about your diamond is that it is you… just in the form of energy. So when you expand it, it is equal to you expanding your size from a spatial point of view. If you want me to be unable to control your movements then you have to surround the space around you with it”

Mira asked “Can’t you just control the space around the energy zone?” Jade said “I can but it would be harder since I would have to control a way larger amount of space to move you around or restrict you, but it is possible.” Mira said “So bigger is better?”

Jade said “In a sense it is but there are ways for you to maintain a small energy domain without being susceptible to spatial manipulation”. Mira asked “Why are you teaching me this, it is not like everyone in the world will have spatial manipulation”.

Jade was silent for a while before saying “What makes you think that?” Mira said “Well you made spatial technology when you were a Primordial human so I dare say you had a lot of affinity for it”. Jade nodded and said “I see, it does look that way does it. The Celestial grade people you fought were also warrior types so fighting them was not much of a puzzle to you. Hmm hmm”, his speech turning to a mumble toward the end.

Mira looked at the mumbling Jade with confusion and he said “I do have a high affinity for space but I developed space manipulation technology when I was human not when I was a Primordial Human. Space is a simple concept to grasp for those who put in the effort especially after all the evolutions.

I’m probably the most advanced when it comes to knowledge and handling of space but what I’m doing her is really not very complex. Any Celestial or Mythical grade person with some brain cells and experimentation can achieve it. They won’t be able to control it as easily as I can but with some study it won’t be a problem.

Time and Reality are also easy concepts to grasp like space. Yes, many concepts are easily known and manipulated by those with a high enough intelligence without any special study. But space, time and reality are very fundamental concepts that can easily turn the tables in a fight. Knowing how to protect yourself from the bare minimum of manipulations is very essential. Higher levels of manipulation require more conditions so they aren’t your headache for now. But the simple things that I can do should not pose a problem to you if you want to be among the top dogs.”

Mira asked “Can you manipulate time? Or reality?” Jade nodded and Mira asked “Can you manipulate time? Or reality?”. Mira was filled shocked, Abdul had time related abilities but he never had this much control over time itself.

Jade said “Brain cells, study. The person you fought was restricted to aura manipulation even though there is so much out there. Given he would probably have some perks of using aura to manipulate time. Maybe his manipulation would require a very hard condition to resist, maybe it will be completely irresistible, who knows? Abdul just wasn’t smart enough, didn’t research enough or didn’t have good energy control since he couldn’t do what I just did. Yes I just literally read your mind; it is a form of Reality manipulation”.

Mira said “Intelligence is really broken, I’m kind of sad that I didn’t focus on it”. Jade said “It’s not intelligence it is knowledge, wisdom, science. That is what I’m currently passing on to you. Your diamonds are naturally strong against time and reality manipulation, you just don’t know it yet. That’s why resisting space manipulation is what I’m teaching you first, the rest will come to you easily”.

Mira asked “I did resist Abdul’s time manipulating aura. Wait, from what you said before, this means that I can manipulate space too. Doesn’t it?” Jade nodded in affirmation and said “If you can sense it then you can control it, all you need is knowledge and practice. It won’t be as powerful as your other skills though, just a parlor trick that you can perform but that is off topic for now.

Using your energy zone in this expanded form will be a little bit uncomfortable for you since you prefer it compressed on your body. But there is a way to get over it. You know how your senses have changed after evolution; like the feeling as if you are everywhere within a certain range”

Mira nodded, Jade was talking about what would later be called sphere of awareness. Jade said “Focus on sensing space within the part of your energy zone that you can sense that way”.

Mira closed her eyes and focused on her sphere of awareness. She could feel space since spatial awareness was one of the things it gave. Jade said “Compress your energy zone. Pull the space along with it too, just the space don’t pull the light in the environment just pull space”.

The air pressure outside Mira’s energy zone increased as she deprived more air particles of the space they occupied forcing them to fill up the space around them. Her energy zone shined red since the light from her heated body was not being compressed but was still deprived of space.

It took 30 whole minutes before Mira compressed her energy zone outlined her body. She opened her eyes and she felt a distance between her body and the surroundings, like she was very far from the environment but it looked as if she was near.

Jade said “Congrats! An armor I made when I was a Primordial Human uses the same concept but has a better application of it. It is called Solid Space. No one can teleport or use any spatial manipulation on you now without a huge cost. Although your energy zone is compressed it is still covering the same space as when it was expanded”.

Mira didn’t reply because she was reading the notifications her IP was giving her about the feat she just performed.

Jade said “You finished a hidden mission?” Mira nodded and Jade said “It happens when you do certain things. I learnt that you won’t be alerted if you only do tier 1 stuff thought”. A piece of Jade’s body separated from him and formed a metal dagger that he threw at Mira. The dagger hit her energy zone and moved extremely slow through the thin layer as if it had just entered butter. Mira waited for it to pass through and surprisingly to her it did. It eventually hit her without a reduction in the force of the throw.

Jade said “It may look like it is slowing down the object but all that it is doing is making travel a long distance which is what your compressed energy zone now represents. Do note that it comes with a drawback; It will not be easy for you to perform spatial manipulation on yourself. That teleportation thing you do when you move really fast won’t work now unless you move really really fast”.

Mira said “It’s hard to keep it up”. Jade said “Interesting, I never felt that way. In that case you will need some practice then. You can release it”. Mira sighed and a vacuum extended from her compressed energy zone; it was all the empty void she had compressed in her energy zone.

Jade said “Onto time and reality!”
