Mira said “We’ll take our leave now I guess or do you want to escort us?” Bella said “No, I’ll be going now, bye”. Mira said “Bye”, Funmi said “BYE”.

Bella and Lisa disappeared and appeared far into the distance as Lisa walked and warped the distance between them and their intended location. Mira said “So what’s the plan”.

Funmi said “WE SHOULD HAVE A SPAR FIRST. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU’RE STRONG OR WEAK AT. IF WE’RE GOING TO ENTERTAIN THE POSSIBILITY OF ATTACKING THE GLASS EMPIRE WE SHOULD AT LEAST DO THIS”.

Mira nodded and they both went back to Chad. Mira assumed her full height and ferocity and asked Funmi “Are you ready?” Funmi nodded and Mira dashed toward her location. But she wasn’t there, a surge of lightning appeared from seemingly nowhere and bathed Mira’s body making her red body shine with a bright blue electric radiance.

Mira knew Funmi would be a hard person to fight. Unlike Bella she didn’t have genes, she was simply sentient lightning. Mira shook of the current in her body and emerged unharmed from the strike. Funmi was now beside her with not a single arc of lightning on her body, making it look like she wasn’t responsible for the lightning bolt.

Mira said “How come you chose this race. I honestly expected you to be more… flowy”. Funmi said “HOW COULD I PASS UP THIS RACE? IT’S A LITERAL LOGIA FRUIT WITHOUT ANY OF THE DRAWBACKS… APART FROM THE TALKING LIKE THUNDER PART. I KNOW FROM KARMA IS A BITCH TO THIS MIGHT SEEM LIKE A BIG LEAP BUT SINCE YOU DON’T KNOW I’LL SAY IT, ELECTRICITY DOES FLOW. IT FLOWS FAST AND IT FLOWS POWERFULLY. TO ACHIEVE THIS FEATURE KARMA IS A BITCH HAD TO EVOLVE TO BECOME MORE AGGRESSIVE, MORE INSTANTANEOUS, HARDER HITTING. SO HERE I AM!”.

Mira nodded and said “You move too fast, I can’t even hit you”. Funmi said “YOU MOVE TOO SLOW, I CAN’T EVEN MISS YOU”. Mira pouted at the retort and nodded for them to resume the fight.

Funmi kept hitting Mira with bolt after bolt of lightning, she had better attacks but she was just sparring so she had to be simple. The bolts though, were completely harmless to Mira as she simply stood in place taking them without flinching. The fur and high durability were a result of her mutating and permanently acquiring the fur and highly durable body of the Snowflake Yeti.

Mira thought ‘I really can’t do anything. She moves to fast and I can barely sense where she is at any moment before I have to find her again. I need to learn how to use morphing to amplify certain stats like Agility. Kind of like the guy I sparred in Terrania… what was his name again… Duni’

Mira created a layer of Diamond on her body causing Funmi to change her approach. Javelins, which were like pins to Mira with her current size, formed of lightning barraged Mira’s Diamond covered body. The pins exploded the moment they stopped penetrating the Diamond armor and oh did they penetrate.

They pierced through the poorly made Diamond defense and punctured Mira’s skin at certain spot forming some sort of circuit with themselves and amplifying their power generally as a result. The Diamond on Mira’s body increased in density until it became black while Mira was electrocuted by the pins. The black diamonds couldn't be pierced by the pins which gave Mira time to think.

Mira thought ‘How do I even attack her?’ she stopped thinking and focused on trying something, anything that might work. Patterns made of white flames spread from the feet of her protective Diamond layer and covered the entire thing. This time she didn’t lose control and blow it up, instead she only blew up a few parts of it that shot her toward the location she just sensed Funmi at, ripping space and bringing her before Funmi faster than her mind could process.

Funmi disintegrated into electrons and reappeared behind Mira as she thought ‘Good try’. Mira shot toward Funmi again after a while but missed, she tried another time and missed again. She missed and missed and missed until it started becoming problematic for Funmi.

All of a sudden Mira could now control this new speed that she achieved and it kind of scared her. She chose a race that was supposed to make her faster than anyone else but Mira was here chasing her. The problem was not Mira’s speed, Funmi was holding back so that she could follow, it was the fact that Mira could control this top speed so easily. The way Funmi moved was that she spread different electrons in the area she wanted to move to this allowed her to easily jump from one point to another with pinpoint precision.

She used this method instead of moving without a guide since she could easily move a few hundred kilometers beyond what she intended. Using this formation caused her to expend a great amount of the electrons that made up her body since she had to cover a very large volume of space considering her speed. This reduced the amount of power she could show but allowed her to move unhindered with precision. Her opponents could never pinpoint the electrons since they were not only subatomic particles, but also always moving around at crazy speeds.

The truth of this compromise was that the faster one went, the harder it would be for their senses to monitor the environment. Funmi had senses that were specialized for high speed travel but she still had to compromise, that was how great the speed of lightning was. The fact that Mira could adapt to such a similar situation without having the right senses made her even more worried. Funmi was and had always been human but now she was lightning, the transition was very sharp so a period of adaptation, learning how to crawl before walking, was required. Funmi thought ‘I have to abandon all control’.

She collected the electrons in the area and her mass rose abruptly. Electrons were very light particles but gathering enough of them could allow for a higher weight. Funmi now weighed as much as 100,000th of an average human but in exchange she lost her direction, her coordinates but she didn’t fluster herself about it. She noted were Mira was and where she wanted to appear after striking her and went for it.

“BOOM!!!!!!!”

A crack of thunder rang out and Mira’s Black Diamond covering was shattered as a giant bolt of white lightning, which was Funmi, flowed through Mira. Mira grunted as the lightning had pierced through the right side of her chest and exited out of the back leaving a hole surrounded by burnt tissue.

Funmi on the other hand experienced something everyone had except her due to her high light weight. But now Funmi had moved as fast as lightning with a relatively high mass which forced space to rip apart and teleport her to the exact location she wanted to be at. She reconstructed her body after noticing this phenomenon and also how the color of her lightning had changed and said “FUCK YEAH! I DID IT!!!!!!!!!”.

It was only after shouting she noticed how much she had hurt Mira. She watched Mira float back to the ground and said “SORRY, I GOT A LITTLE TO CARRIED AWAY”. Mira said “It’s fine” as the chest wound closed and the other burnt tissues were revived.

Mira said “I’ve learnt a little something myself. Moving very fast causes me to sense less and less of the world as a trade off but a necessary one when facing someone as fast as you”. Funmi nodded and said “I’VE LEARNT THAT I DON’T NEED TO HOLD BACK TO GAIN CONTROL, IF I SIMPLY USE ALL MY LIGHTNING WITHOUT WORRY, THE STAT WILL DO THE REST. THANK YOU FOR THAT, I’LL GIVE YOU SOMETHING FOR THE LESSON BUT FOR NOW WE SHOULD GO ON THAT TOUR.”

Mira nodded and the duo proceeded toward the Glass Empire.
