Jake returned back to the people when they were done fighting. He walked to a certain man and said “Where did Diana and her friends go?” The man replied “They are underground protecting the others. Our job was to divert the monsters’ attention. There were only Rank 5 monsters thought, which is weird. Do you know why?”

Jake answered “The Conquerors have lost the Conqueror’s Spawn privilege so the spawns don’t die when the Conquerors do and I’m assuming the spawns don’t want to be used anymore so they left their creators. This didn’t happen in all the hordes though; the hordes we were in first didn’t have any deserting spawns. This could mean many things; spawns might now be able to grow in Rank since they aren’t the same anymore, they might also form groups with monsters of different races which would make them quite formidable if their powers compliment. This is really a pain”

The man replied “Hmm, we weren’t told anything about the nature or rule of the WW3 event. It’s probably because we don’t have jobs.” Jake nodded and said “Where is the new girl?” The man pointed in a certain direction and walked away.

Jake reached where Mira was and said “Sorry for the chaos. The event is really a pain”. Mira nodded and said “I know”. Jake said “Are you only here to sell weapons or do you have another motive for coming here?”

Mira answered “I want to get to Rank 7 and evolve if I meet enough requirements here”. Jade nodded and said “Do you know about jobs?” Mira nodded and said “Yes”. Jake thought ‘So she has above Rank 7 friends or contacts’.

Jake said “You have a very unusual accent. Where are you from?” Mira answered “I’m from Nigeria. You guys have really horrible weapons, I expected better from a place with a Rank 12 talk less 2 Rank 12s”. Jake sighed and said “The person who makes your weapons must be really smart. I was an army officer before the apocalypse and evolving into a vampire didn’t do too much for my intelligence. As a vampire I need to drink blood which is obvious. But as a vampire that was once human, human blood gives me way more nourishment than monster blood. The stat of the human doesn’t really matter so I guess I have an advantage there”

Mira nodded in realization and thought ‘So he doesn’t have to eat or drink blood from higher Ranked monsters or undead to maintain his stats like High Humans. That’s quite an advantage’. Jake said “I would like to order a lot of weapons from your contact. I can provide the monster materials. Many people are stuck in a lower Rank because there aren’t any weapons good enough for their stats so they have to fight bare handed as you would have seen in this fight and our armor is horrible too. I would like to fix these problems as soon as possible”.

Mira nodded and said “Show me what you have and tell me what you want”. Jake nodded and said “I give you a tour first, since you’ll be fighting with us for a while”.

Two days after the beginning of the WW3 event Jade received the blue cube back from the sanctuary. The sanctuary requested that Jade send them some spells. The knowledge they sent were chemistry and medicine knowledge at the university level. Jade absorbed the knowledge from the cube and sent a Force Shield spell. The spell creates a spherical force field shield. Jade assumed that with the monster attacks they would prefer a defensive type spell. The greatest thing about the spell was that it could be group casted; it could be casted and powered by more than one person to make a bigger and more powerful shield.

Jade didn’t try to make any weapons or devices with the new knowledge since he couldn’t make anything ground breaking from the knowledge he got. He needed to make things that humanity hadn’t made yet or couldn’t make so the knowledge the sanctuary sent was a foundation for him that’s why he sent of only one spell as a payment.

Today Jade was going to scout the monsters and watch their behavior to decide how he would continue his hunts. A black portal opened in Abuja and Jade walked out from it. He thought ‘IP activate the Hunter’s Perception privilege’.

Immediately information about all the monsters with a 110 mile radius of Jade was sent to him. Jade thought ‘IP activate the Soul Map’. A black sphere with many white dots appeared in Jade’s mind and he immediately focused on the area around the green dot which represented him.

The information was the same as Jade cross referenced what was given to him by the Hunter’s Perception privilege and the Soul Map privilege. He was around the area where the Elemental horde was previously. The order that was created at the beginning of the apocalypse had fallen completely because of the Event.

Many monsters of various Ranks and races where fighting all around for souls. Jade smiled at the sight and thought ‘This chaos will easily give me ways to gain en-code. I can just join the monsters’ battles when both sides are heavily wounded or tired’. Then Jade saw something unexpected in his Soul Map.

There was a Rank 20 monster approaching his location on the Soul Map but the Hunter’s Perception Privilege didn’t give him any notice of this; it was as if the Rank 20 monster did not exist to the Hunter’s Perception.

Jade thought ‘Rank 20 monster, the strongest monster in Nigeria!’ Jade didn’t think too much about trying to test the power of the monster or seeing its race, he just opened a portal back to his lab but then he heard a psychic message coming from the position of the Rank 20 monster in the distance. It said “Jade wait!”

Jade’s eyes widened, he had heard the Rank 11 Elemental talk with psychic messages so he knew that monsters could communicate if they wanted to but a monster that knew is name was a completely different ball game, he had to find out how such a thing was possible even if it risked his life.

Jade thought ‘Why is it hidden from the Hunter’s Perception? It’s a Rank 20 monster so it would have had a job promotion since it’s above Rank 15 where monsters get job promotions, it could be the effect of a higher job. It could also be that it is a Hunter, how else would it know that I’m here otherwise. Or there could be a monster with the Hunter job with it, no a monster that had been promoted from the Hunter job to a higher version of it. I wouldn’t be able to sense the monster with either my Soul Map or Hunter’s Perception and it might have a privilege that affects the Perception of other Hunters. Either way I have to find out how it knows me… Wait, it could also be that the highest Ranked creature in Nigeria is a human!’

When Jade finished his thinking, the energy zone of the Rank 20 creature came into his view, he had added the Energy Sight spell to Horus so he could see energy with it. Jade teleported some kilometers away, he wasn’t about to be caught in the energy zone of a Rank 20 creature.

Sensing his retreat, the energy zone of the creature shrunk and Jade saw the creature as it slowly approached. It was a blue Cellar Spider that was as large as a tank. It slowly walked toward Jade on its 8 legs and its 8 black eyes focused on Jade’s figure. It also had a thin scorpion tail extending from its abdomen.

It sent another psychic message that said “Rank 2 Fried Chicken, good one”. Jade’s IP denoted it as a [Rank 20 Champion Arachni].
