Jade then captured a Rank 8 Elemental and experimented on the most effective way to deal with them in one of the rooms of his portal storage. As one would expect their cores were their weakness but Jade felt their cores would be very valuable to his research.

From his experimentation the Elementals above Rank 6 had more than one core and if a core was taken the elemental would just have to spend more energy controlling its body and if it got the core back it would function normally. If the all cores were separated from the body of the Elemental it would die. And also the Elementals didn’t take ‘low ranks’ with abnormally large energy zones seriously, this was probably due to their own abnormally large energy zones.

The Elemental, unlike most creatures, required energy for their most basic functions. They would never fully expend their energy as it would lead to their death. Also since they possessed no sensory organs they could only sense things in their energy zone.

The Elementals communicated through Psychic connections like undead.

Jade thought ‘Aren’t they just slimes? That are made of rock’. Jade usually spent one month for training and improvement of his technology. Now this was Jade’s current arsenal:

Horus: Horus is a sensory device that can scan a radius of 8 kilometers and gives a more detailed amount of information on the energy and objects in the scanned area than a space mapping earring. Couple with a combat SM (Synthetic Mind) specialized for defense and scouting. Horus interprets the information and calculates the Rank of monsters based on the information.]

[Mass Destruction:

Hades: An arsenal of weapons and devices that can create and control heat, plasma, light, fire and various heat type energy forms. It is the upgraded version of various new gen weapons. Coupled with a combat SM it is used to wipe out small fry and collect their corpses]

[Focused Destruction:

Gungnir: A series of spears that are one use only as they perform powerful attacks of various forms ranging from heat type energy attacks to force field and aura attacks that are so powerful they are one use only.

Ouki: is a spectrum and heat energy glaive that performs sharp attacks that are nigh impossible to defend against.]

[Focused Defense:

Aegis: is an arsenal of shield generators where each shield generator focuses on blocking specific types of attacks.

Susano: is a spectrum and force field full body armor that focuses on protecting the wearer.]

[All devices are controlled with thoughts; they have psychic energy controls.

All devices can be only powered and activated by Jade’s energy]

[Weapons that use a combination of all colors of aura are called spectrum weapons. They have advanced aura textures like gold, silver, beryl, etc]

He had focused his training on Energy and Intelligence even though they were the hardest for him to train and required the most en-code.

Jade sent his consciousness to his soul realm and he was in a familiar place between the 2 planet sized palms. Unlike before he could do a little bit more with it, he could create the True dream constructs way faster than before.

A True dream Susano was already created between the palms. No matter how hard he tried he was never able to hold or create more than one True dream construct, it just seemed impossible. So he focused on speed instead.

Jade swiftly created 50 True dream Susanos and multiplied the power of the Susano he was wearing by 50. He created 50 True dream Hade and Aegis arsenals, which consisted of various discs and spheres of different shapes and designs, and multiplied the capabilities of the real ones, which had been summoned from his portal storage. He used True dream to multiply Ouki’s power by 50, after making all this preparations he had expended half of his total energy.

Jade began his attack; he manipulated the devices that made up the Hades arsenal flew up as they emitted flames like rockets and started shooting lasers at the center of the energy cores of the Elementals. Jade’s IP said ‘You have killed 23 Rank 6 Elemental: Living rocks’.

A triangular shield of light appeared under Jade’s feet, surrounded by 3 spheres as small as a cricket ball. A hole opened in the spheres and a pillar of fire came out of it which propelled the spheres, shield, and Jade upward as the Hades arsenal continued to fire at the Rank 6 small fries.

The lasers were very thin and focused, they would pierce the elementals right through their cores without any resistance and the shining patterns on their bodies would darken before they died.

Ares continued to kill the elementals, the elementals didn’t take it sitting, they changed form as their patterns morphed and they formed catapults and began hurling rocks that they formed from their bodies at the parts of the Hades arsenal.

Jade was high in the air above the weapons so they couldn’t identify him, the only option that they had was to attack the devices that were attacking them even if it didn’t give them any en-code.

Jade had learned that without a high Ranking attacker being identified, the monsters were usually very late to react as they heavily depended on their IPs to make decisions.

The Aegis arsenal formed invisible force field shields that returned the rocks back at the elementals.

The rocks were absorbed into the elementals’ bodies and were catapulted back to the Hades arsenal without harming the elementals. Jade switched strategies and opened portals that transported the stones that were sent toward the parts of the Hades arsenal to the portals storage.

Jade placed the mirrors from Hades arsenal among the Elementals and fired his lasers such that they hit a mirror and reflected onto other elementals. The death of the Elementals accelerated and the higher Ranks were alerted.

Jade killed more Elementals as his IP gave him the account of the kills ‘You have killed 5,678 Rank 6 Elemental: Living rocks’.

With Hades, Jade could kill low Ranks even when the higher Ranks came as he could put it on autopilot. The Rank 7 Elementals were completely different from the Rank 6 and below. The first major difference they had was that they flew; they had their own controllable gravity field that could keep them free from the earth’s gravity.

The second difference was that they had 3 cores, hence 3 energy domains overlapping with each other. They were all jagged balls with indentations and deformities. They were made of molten rock so it was certain that heat attacks would be very inefficient on them. And they were as large as a flat.

They expanded their energy zones and discovered Jade among the parts of the Hades arsenal with his energy zone compressed. Jade smiled and expanded his energy zone. Jade’s energy zone swallowed their energy zones, covering kilometers around them, as Jade’s IP denoted them as [Rank 7 Elemental: Sentient Magma].

Jade suppressed their energy zones with his own energy zone, reducing the size and forcing it back to be just as large as their bodies. Jade had learnt through his energy training that energies from different energy organs (different creatures) never combined and always repelled each other; he used this principle to suppress their energy domains with his own.

One’s energy sense and energy domain was strongest at the part of the body that intersected with the energy domain. That’s why Jade had first been channeling his energy through his body although it wasn’t necessary. The people at the sanctuary were also aware of this fact but controlling one’s energy outside of one’s body was extremely daunting so it was necessary for them to channel it through their bodies even though Jade could do it easily because of his high amount of energy control.

Jade continued and forced their energy zones back into their bodies, the Sentient Magmas shook as they tried to dispel the foreign energy entering their bodies. The Elementals were energy dependent creatures that couldn’t move without energy control.

Jade forcefully compressing their energy domain was like being choked to them, they needed energy to function; it wasn’t just a secondary means of power for them like it was for many other species, it was their life blood.

Jade summoned an appropriate number of Frost Blast Gungnirs, 3 for every Sentient Magma. The spears floated in the air with the aid of the thrusters attached to their handles as Jade aimed them. The Frost Blast Gungnirs were a two stage attack weapon that instantly freezes the target it hits and afterward explodes.

The thrusters at the end of the Gungnirs’ handle blasted off as Jade sent the Frost Blast Gungnirs into the area around the cores of the Sentient Magmas and the areas froze and then exploded and the cores were separated from their bodies. The Lava on the bodies of the Sentient Magmas dropped to the ground as the IP said ‘You have killed 342 Rank 7 Sentient Magmas’.

Jade continued on to the center of the Elementals’ territory.
