《Era: Dawn of the New Gods》Chapter 84: Bella’s peculiarity

The class and their new friend left the shop and headed to the Dojo, along the way they asked Medara questions about the things they didn’t understand, like the weapons of people in the sanctuary and how they fight undead and she patiently explained. They eventually reached the Dojo and it was quite amazing. There were large huge buildings surrounded by a vast amount of space, in the space around the building about 2000 student were practicing the same martial art moves synchronously at the command of a teacher, it was breath taking.
The gate of the compound was open but there were still guards around it. One of the guards said “Do you-“then he stopped, he just noticed their Ranks and asked “Are you looking for Lekan?” Bella said “No, we just wanted to look” and the group left the place.
The guard asked his colleagues if they knew any Rank 5s or Rank 4s that were around the group’s age, but they said they didn’t know of any. He smiled and called a number.
When they left Bella said “Do you think he got it right?” Ife answered “Aura takes drive and discipline to utilize, there would obviously be many ways to teach someone how to use it” Gbenga said “I think he has a good idea, martial arts are very challenging and only those that persist can thrive at it”. The group nodded simultaneously… except for Medara.
She was confused; they spoke about aura like they knew all about it already. Medara said “You know you’re not allowed to teach what he teaches you to outsiders, right?” she thought they were Lekan’s students. Gbenga said “He didn’t teach us anything, we taught ourselves”
Medara’s eyes widened and she said “Impossible!” Bella smiled smugly and said “Gbenga show her!” Gbenga said “It’s ok if she doesn’t believe us, we have nothing to prove”. Bella was shocked at this statement but understood that it was true so she fumed and looked away. They went to various places that Medara liked and she told them various things about the city.

At the end of the tour Medara took them to Funmi’s company. While they were running in the area, Medara couldn’t help but look around the area in awe; this place was her dream home, the place where all the people she looked forward to lived. The only reason she could enter was because she was with Gbenga’s group who were Rank 5s. As this was a private estate, not just anyone was allowed to enter; only those who had clearance could enter.
The group didn’t know this though; the guards had never stopped them from entering both when they were with Mira and now because they were High Rankers. Medara took them to the front of the building of Funmi’s company, she looked at it with longing in her eyes; this was the closest she ever was to the building.
The group walked toward the gate and Medara stopped them and said “You can’t just go anywhere you want, the guards won’t allow you” Bella smiled and said “Just follow us” and the group entered the building without being stopped.
Medara’s eyes sparkled as she looked around trying to take in everything she saw, the group led deeper into the building to a lobby. Medara thought Gbenga’s group lived here since they were high rankers and were being supported by one. In the lobby Mira and Funmi were talking happily while Bola was sitting on a chair listening quietly and when Mira saw them she said “Where have you been? I thought we agreed on 3 hours”.
Bella said “We weren’t finished with sightseeing after 3 hours, mom”. Mira rolled her eyes and continued talking with Funmi; she had stayed with Bella for 2 months and knew that Bella loved to get people emotional even though she herself was also very emotional.

Mira walked away with Funmi, toward her office. Medara was dumbfounded, the person she just saw was a Rank 6 she knew nothing about, the person was also casually talking with Funmi, her idol, she now knew that Gbenga’s group weren’t lying, she just didn’t know all the Rank 6s and 5s.
Medara turned to the group, facing Bella who had an expectant face, and said “I’m sorry for not believing you, I guess I was wrong”. Bella had never felt so much ecstasy in her life; feeling Medara’s sincere apology had pushed her mind over the limit, she involuntarily let out a moan. She Schwinged.
Medara looked at Bella’s weird behavior in fear and confusion, while the group laughed. Bella had become very emotional due to the high amount of psychic energy in her brain, she had an abnormally high amount of psychic energy when she was human, and this made her extremely closed, stoic and secluded as she was very sensitive to social interactions.
When she became a Superior Intelligence High Human this condition had worsened, she tried to fight it and keep it down but she was unsuccessful, later she yielded and discovered that she was able to perfectly sense the way people felt when they were in her energy domain. She could still sense their feelings outside of it, even more strongly than she did as a human, but it was perfectly clear in her domain.
She had used this to read Mira when they first met. The drawback of this ability was that she got emotional very easily as she couldn’t ignore anything anymore and knew with absolute certainty what people felt as if she was feeling it herself and the influx of emotions often overrode her logic.
She had felt Medara’s lack of consideration and her complete doubt at their words even though they told her the truth so she was eager to feel her humility at her mistake and when she felt it, it was the best feeling in the world. It was a pure, unmistakable and perfect apology from the heart of a girl who was thankful for their understanding and sorry for her lack of imagination, she lost control.
Maduro said “Forgive her, that’s how she is”. Medara asked about their experiences and they told her. She was amazed that teenagers like her could achieve such amazing things, she also felt sad and she thought ‘I’ve been staying here in safety while they were out there braving dangers, no wonder they’re way better than me’
Bella sensing her sadness said “Don’t feel so bad, we can at least teach you how to use aura” and looked at Gbenga who nodded at the proposal and said “But it’ll be dangerous, we didn’t learn our ability by practicing martial arts like Lekan; we learnt it fighting monsters and undead without giving up. Are you up for it?” Medara nodded in determination.
