Mira said “Let’s do it. First we should see each other’s capabilities and make a plan accordingly… can you give me a moment?” she said and sat down on the floor in a meditative pose and closed her eyes. She realized after she spoke about capabilities that she didn’t know her own capabilities and had just been doing some things she couldn’t do before instinctually.

The group looked at her strange actions in confusion. Mira sharpened her concentration to the maximum, this time paying attention to the changes she experienced, her senses expanded and she felt the involuntary actions of her body become controllable; she could control her heart beat, the pulsing of her arteries, the signals flowing through her nerves and even the workings of her brain along with other things that she didn’t know the purpose of.

She experienced a completely new world where her body felt like a tool she could perfectly control. Her senses expanded to the surroundings and she could now sense the body functions of the group around from the movement of their blood vessels to the firing of their nerves, although in less detail compared to what she sensed from her body she could sense them. She could also feel the various possible motions they would make and some of the previous ones they had made.

The air around her felt like a liquid, she could feel the air ripple whenever they made small motions. When she opened her eyes it was even more magnificent, things she could only feel and hear she began to see, the air rippled like water and the little details of their bodies was clear to her, she could see the current flowing through their nerves; so many details, much that she didn’t understand, were being sent to her yet it didn’t overload her brain, it flowed smoothly. She dissipated her concentration.

She thought ‘I didn’t even use energy to enhance myself. I’ve developed my own technique. I wonder what I should call it. I’ve only been using it for stealth but it has so much potential’. She noticed that although she stopped using the technique her concentration was still a little focused.

Maduro asked the question the others were avoiding “What were you doing?” Mira thought about it and answered “I don’t really know”. The group’s confusion intensified. Mira didn’t want to discourage her allies so she said “I was… amplifying my senses? I don’t really know how it works”

Their confusion lessened but didn’t leave. Mira said “You guys should show me what you’re capable of then, or do you have things you want to pack?” Bella replied “Since we’re paying you why don’t you show us your capabilities first”

Mira nodded in agreement and showed them her weapons’ capabilities like her Havoc large aura slash and her black aura repelling shield which, unsurprisingly to her, shocked them. She then told them of the other capabilities that weren’t apparent like the armors ability to reduce its friction to the point where it could be considered negative when it was struck by high forces, Tranquil’s poison and her hoody’s ability to store energy.

The group could not help show that they were holding back questions. Mira quickly dissuaded them by saying “My master was the one that made the armor; I don’t know how it works” with a mischievous grin that Bella didn’t miss, Bella’s suspicion resurfaced.

Unknown to Bella the deceit and mischief she was sensing in Mira came as a result of the fact that Mira knew Jade who they also knew and seeing the group so interested in the weapons that terrorist who they feared made had amused Mira to no end. But Bella could not read minds, she could only grasp the emotions that people were feeling regardless of how they tried to hide it.

Mira focused her concentration again and said “Ok, your turn, show me what you got” then she noticed something she hadn’t noticed before. She was closer to Bella’s location now; Bella was inside her energy zone, she could sense some sort of energy moving from Bella’s head to the direction of heads of the other group members (They were not in her energy zone).

Bella was sending psychic messages to the other members about her suspicions and deductions. Psychic energy was extremely hard to sense when in small quantities, that was why it eluded the human species even though the very thing was in their brain.

But Mira with her focuses concentration could clearly sense it although she didn’t know its purpose; she realized that the energy flowing from Bella’s head was also in her head and although she could only vaguely sense it in the group member’s heads, she could clearly sense it in Bella’s head, her head was full of it.

Mira thought ‘Isn’t this the same energy that I used to track the location of the Marquise Minds? Yes it was also in their heads, it must be something that all creatures with intelligence have’

Bella sensed Mira’s discovery of her ability late, she couldn’t monitor Mira while sending psychic messages and she couldn’t talk or make signs since Mira’s senses seemed to be extraordinary. Mira looked at Bella in shock and said “You! You can send brain energy”

The group members were shocked and guilt ridden at having their secret exposed. Mira remembered something Jade had told her once. He was boosting and telling her “You haven’t even fought the truly dangerous battles where staying in your opponent’s energy zone can mean your end”.

Mira noticed that the group members all stayed close to Bella, in her energy zone and she thought ‘Could it be that I only caught her because she was in my energy zone?’ She noticed Bella’s energy zone was extended, it was larger than her own but less dense, and she was inside it.

She stepped back, out of the energy zone of Bella and said “Good trick, I guess it’s only natural that you can’t trust me seeing as you just met me some minutes ago”. Gbenga apologized “I’m sorry we tricked you, I needed to make sure of if you were trying to use us as bait to escape the island. And since you heard our conversation earlier I assumed you were trying to corner us into doing what you wanted”

Mira nodded and said “Ok, I get that, you’ve had a rough time here. Since we’ve verified our mutual distrust lets continue with our deal; show me what you got”. The group looked uncomfortable from the change in the atmosphere.

Gbenga took a step back and created some space, he held his weapon, a crude spear, and a green aura formed from his hand and went to his weapon.

His aura covered the weapon and he performed a thrust. Aura flew out of the spears tip shaped like the spear head, and move forward like a bullet, he curved the aura spear heads trajectory and kept it spinning around within his energy domain.

He said after “I’m sorry for my behavior earlier. I would like to gain your trust back”. Mira said “It’ll happen if it’ll happen, but WHAT?! You guys keep amazing me time after time. First, you’re all superior. Second, you can use brain energy. Now, you can use aura? Can you also grow a second dick?”

The tense atmosphere lightened and the group continued to show their abilities. They all had similar aura abilities although they had different colors. They told her what stat was superior for them.

Gbenga had green aura and superior durability.

Maduro had Indigo aura and superior senses.

Ife had yellow aura and superior agility.

Bella had no aura, she focused solely on psychic energy and she had superior intelligence.

Bola, the teacher, had red aura and superior agility.

None of them could activate aura, so they didn’t even understand how Mira’s weapons worked. Mira told them about what Bosun told her and asked what happened. Ife told her the truth of the story…
