《Era: Dawn of the New Gods》Chapter 32: The End of Banu City

Jade took Samira’s hands looked into her teary eyes and said “All you have to do tell me who you want to kill or who you want to torture. I’ll incapacitate them and then you’ll punish them later after we’ve gotten all of them. Do you have any questions?”
Samira looked at him in disbelieve and said “How are you going to do that? Abhad is a Rank 5”. Jade smiled, changed his Rank to Rank 7 and told her to check again. Samira’s eyes widen when she saw Jade’s new Rank, she thought ‘How is that possible? How did he do that?’ Jade changed his information back to Rank 2 High Human and walked out of her room with her.
That was the last time Samira ever used that room.
He walked to the lobby, there were 4 guards there, a guard approached him and said “Hey, you can’t take the girl ou-“, his speech was interrupted as Jade flicked his head. The flick was so fast that neither the Rank 2 high human guard nor Samira saw what happened, the flick was so strong that the guard’s forehead caved in and blood and brains escaped from the crack in his face, it looked like his head had been hit really hard by a metal bat.
Jade faced Samira and said “You have to tell me if you want to personally kill or torture someone quickly, I can’t let them harm you while you’re under my care so I’ll kill them if they approach” as the other guards ran toward their fallen comrade.
The guards only saw Jade’s false Rank and because of that they couldn’t see reason to run for their lives even though they hadn’t figured out how their friend died.
The guards armed their laser pistols and Jade armed Orochi. The guards shot their pistols, but Jade was already behind them with Samira and their heads fell off their necks. He had beheaded them too fast for them to notice.
Samira gazed at the corpses of the guards in amazement she looked at Jade and in his hands there was a body suit and a fur hoody, Samira thought ‘Where did all these things come from?’, Jade said “Give me a moment, I need to change my clothes”.
Jade changed into his body suit and fur hoody, Samira told him “Abhad lives in the city center, that’s where we should go” Jade replied “Are you sure there’s no one else you want me to kill?” Samira nodded “All the people I’ll be killing are in the city center” Jade smiled and said “then let’s go”.

He took the head of one of the guards and walked out of the lobby area into the club’s main area with Samira behind him. He stood there and waited for people to notice the anomaly, slowly people started looking in his direction pointing at the head in his hand. The guards of the club came to investigate the cause of the disturbance; they saw Jade with the head of one of their colleagues in his hand.
The guards went in front of the crowd and Jade raised the head in his hand and said in a ‘matter of fact’ tone “All who are against the queen shall die. Make way” the guards drew their weapons, all new gen weapons, but before they could shoot, Jade swung Orochi many times, faster than their eyes could register and they were sliced into ribbons.
The club descended into panic, the people who were afraid ran away but many people came back to where Jade was after getting their weapons back. The club was for people who could afford it and they were mostly high humans, who were confident in their strength and were the important to the security of the city as most of the people were still human.
The weapons that were seized before they entered were given back to their owners and they stood against Jade, what gave them hope was Jade’s false Rank although they were weary of him; they thought they could win with their numbers.
Jade quietly said “What is our hearts desire? ... Vengeance, Justice… Fire and Blood” and the massacre began. Samira gently walked towards the club’s exit while Jade became a hurricane around her.
She was the calm eye of the storm and Jade was the carnage; blood, guts, limbs and organs flew around outside a 6 meter circle centered on Samira, not a single drop of blood touched her.
Samira laughed; she was filled with so much joy even though she wasn’t the one doing the killing. Seeing all the people she had been jealous of, people she feared and people she hated dying helplessly had drowned the sadness she felt all these years.
The club customers who hadn’t been killed, those that were at the back of the charge, saw the hopelessness of the battle and ran away. The entire city was alerted, the threat puzzled all the guards that heard the details; a Rank 2 high human and a regular human had started a massacre and no one could stop it.

The news quickly got to the higher powers of Banu city; the Rank 4 high humans. A high ranking city official was disturbed while he was with his wives, the head guard of his mansion, a Rank 3 high human, knocked on his bed room door and told him two people were attacking the city center.
The official asked “What are their Ranks?” This official was in charge of the security of the city center, it was just a position given to him as a courtesy, and no one had dared to attack the home of the Rank 4 high humans.
The guard told him “There is one Rank 2 high human and a Rank 0 human, they either kill or incapacitate anyone they see”. The information stunned the official, then it annoyed him, he screamed “THEN WHY DO YOU NEED ME TO HANDLE SUCH A THING? IS IT SO HARD FOR YOU, A RANK 3, TO KILL A RANK 2 AND A RANK 0?!”
The head guard covered his ears when he started shouting, he winced as he replied “I’ve tried to kill them but their unstoppable, I don’t know how it’s possible but the Rank 2 killed all my subordinates and told me to call whoever’s in charge”
Hearing the guard’s explanation, the official calmed down he thought ‘This is abnormal, a Rank 2 killing a Rank 3 should be impossible, except if the Rank 2 kept killing hordes of Rank 2 undead and gained enough en-code to be able to beat a Rank 3.
But this doesn’t apply here, one: because he defeated dozens of Rank 3 which should be a Rank 4’s feat and secondly: the head guard is still calling him a Rank 2 after he beat Rank 3s, which should be impossible’
The official asked the guard “How can he be a Rank 2 if he defeated Rank 3s, didn’t his Rank increase?” the head guard answered with a shocked expression “It didn’t, he had beaten a bunch of my subordinates before I came and his Rank still read Rank 2”.
The official felt something was fishy so instead of going to confront Jade, he went and alerted the other Rank 4s as well as Abhad and his son, the two Rank 5s in the city. After they heard the report they all agreed that this was an important development, requiring their attention.
The meeting between the high officials gave Jade and Samira time to cause more carnage. Jade had given Samira a laser machete, as she could not carry any of his monster weapons; they were too heavy.
She had begun killing the men that she could recognize, she directed Jade to capture all the men who had tortured her, her accomplices and Malik. Jade incapacitated as many men as he could just in case she had forgotten some of them.
Jade noticed her Rank wasn’t increasing and asked his IP ‘Why hasn’t her Rank increased? She is killing Rank 3s’ The IP answered ‘The en-code is distributed based on the contribution to the kill. You did most of the work so you will get approximately 97% of the en-code for every kill she makes. A kill and the accompanying Rank increase is awarded to the person who gets 60% or more of the en-code from the kill’
The men were lying on the ground with their legs and hands broken, Samira stabbed and hacked at the genitals of each man until she was satisfied and left them to bleed to death while Jade followed her to ensure the men didn’t try anything smart.
Samira was in a world of her own. She was so happy, the people she was killing had raped her and the other women; Abhad’s lackeys. Seeing the pain and sadness in their eyes while remembering the joy they felt when punishing her made her day. She thought ‘Only if Malik could see this… *sigh* But he’s dead and I’m here, I’ll ensure that they suffer and die because of that’
Jade had teleported with Samira to the city center when she showed him the way. He had fought the guards for about 30 minutes before they started running away. He chased and incapacitated them for about 20 minutes and Samira had been having her fun for about 10 minutes when the high ranking officials came.
