《Undying Soul》Part 02 : Vampire spirit---Chapter 06 of 06

His face still showed an eternal smile.
Nilus was still in disbelief.
A nobody appeared and killed himself in front of them?
He even promised impossible things.
They did not believe that the old man was crazy until they saw him die in front of them.
Who does that?
Nilus looked at the harmless ball of crystallized blood in front of him and sighed.
The other three watched Nilus use a spear of his own blood came out of his index finger pierce through the crystal of blood.
He absorbed it all.
Nilus turned to Graxx: ” I need soul crystals.”
The cat reluctantly tapped on its pendant and a bundle of soul crystals came out of it.
The reality warpers were capable of creating small pocket dimensions for their own use.
Nilus only had to touch the soul crystals and they were instantly absorbed.
A few thousand soul crystals in, he stopped as his blood finally showed a change.
It had disappeared.
All his vampire blood had disappeared.
“What’s going on? How can I still be alive without blood?” He was panicking.
His whole body was devoid of blood.
Slowly, a new kind of blood appeared. Human blood. His divine body was trying to regenerate his lost blood and was creating human blood.
All this time Nilus was concentrated on what was happening inside him. He was not seeing the faces of fear of his three companions as they looked at what was behind him.
As Nilus saw that there was nothing alarming happening to him, he stopped worrying.
“That old man made me loose my vampire powers. I am now just a normal soul eater at the divine stage.” Nilus thought.
He looked at his three friends, he asked them: “The old vampire is dead. What are you so afraid of? ”
“Me.” The same voice as Nilus’s was heard from behind him.
Nilus turned around as his mind was in complete chaos. He had just heard himself.
And now he was seeing a spirit body that looked exactly like him when he turned into a spirit body with his soul eater divine powers.
The only difference was that his usual color in his spirit body form was greenish. The new clone was entirely red. He felt like he was looking at himself in a weird mirror now that the new clone was materializing a body.
“Who are you?” They asked themselves the same question at the same time after which they stopped talking and looked at the old vampire’s corpse.
They pieced it together at the same time.
“This is weird. I feel like I have the same powers as before. Our memories are the same as well…hum?...I got all that guy’s memories as well. I see…” The clone turned around and said: “We really are not the same. Your pitiful memories were almost obliterated by this old guy’s memories. He has lived for so long that even I cannot ascertain the era he comes from. It will take some time to erase them. ”

The clone closed his eyes and concentrated.
“Its done.” The clone had erased all the memories that did not belong to Nilus.
“Why did you erase them? They could’ve been of some help.” Fangs who now seemed angry said. It seems that he was used to these kinds of unusual situations.
The clone looked at him and said : “Whatever it was, it was useless. I was him for a second and I knew. His memories were only useful to him, They had nothing to do with me.”
They all had the impression that they were talking to Nilus himself.
Graxx flew around the clone and said: “This is weird. I’ve never seen a complete clone before. Even the king cannot create a real body. He just creates a body made of aura.”
“A normal vampire spirit is nothing but a soul for a normal vampire. I am different because Nilus is a soul eater and already has a soul and a soul core. Two conflicting existences cannot live inside the same body. I was automatically pushed out. A normal vampire spirit will just finally gain a soul and be considered at the divine level with access to aura. They will keep their weaponizable blood as well. It’s like staying at the true vampire level but with a soul to keep leveling up.” The clone explained.
“How do you know that if I do not know?” Nilus asked.
“From deduction and the few useful memories that I kept.” The clone said before he added: “I erased the essence of the old guy’s memories but kept two things. I kept the memory I just shared about this change and the location of an old clan’s treasure on the Blackmist continent.”
“Is that treasure, the The Vogun clan’s treasure?” Fangs asked.
“Yes. It has been found?” The clone lost his excitement.
“Yes. But no one has been capable of taking it away.” Fangs said with a mysterious smile.
“Because of the Minotaur guarding it?” The clone asked.
“Nope. The Minotaur was just too lazy to keep guarding it. It created a huge commotion on the continent and allowed everybody to come and try to take the treasure away. Even my father failed.” Fangs explained as he shook his head.
“I see.”
“What treasure? What’s in it?” Nilus asked.
“No one knows. Even the Minotaur that guards it knows nothing, or at least pretends not to know.”
They headed for the vampire territories.
On the way, they grew to understand the powers that the clone had gained.
He had a soul eating ability just like Nilus and the vampires but could not produce an aura that could eat energy.
His soul eating ability could only allow him to suck away the soul, but that was the closest he could go in terms of manipulating the soul.

His blood red aura could only be weaponized like normal humans and other lifeforms did. His only ability when it came to the soul and aura was to create a spirit body just like Nilus.
He still had his true vampire blood that could also be weaponized.
He also had the ability to turn his body into a spirit body. In his case, he was called a vampire spirit.
He had become the vampire while Nilus remained just a soul eater.
“We should call back the Marquis. I need to complete a contract as well. I am too weak compared to Nilus.” The clone said.
“We should think of a name or an Alias for you before we call my uncle.” The cat grinned and added : “ Nile. That sounds good. Not too close but close enough.”
A cat had given him a name.
As they arrived an army of vampires was waiting for them.
When they felt Nile’s pressure, they all kneeled without exception.
It did not matter whether they still had misgivings about their new situation or not. The pressure of a Vampire spirit forced them on their knees.
Nile said: “I should be considered their progenitor from now on. Hehe…I am just a few hours old and some of them have been alive for thousands of years.”
“You didn't have to do anything and yet, they all kneeled on the ground in subservience. Quite useful to have you around.” Nilus said.
“The old vampire made sure this would happen by having them all turn into his bloodline. He had the same kind of power over his bloodline before but weaker.” Nile said.
“Let’s go down.” Nilus said.
They were welcomed by nine true vampires and alphas of the Void clan.
They were led to the Blood church.
From the horizon, it looked like a massive procession.
There were tens of thousands of vampires.
Cale said: “No wonder the humans are such in a bad shape. How can you feed all these monsters?”
“You know that they all just heard you right?” Nile said.
Cale tried to ignore his blunder and instead asked: “Well, since your are their new progenitor, what is your plan for them?” He did not care that they could hear them.
“Well, we will use Nilus’s soul eating ability to create soul crystals for the true vampires and divine realm alphas that need more energy. As for the rest, the humans will provide it. I am going to turn them all into a single army. And since they are of the blood spirit bloodline, I will make them become vampire spirits one by one. After that, we will expand to the other world, I just don’t know what kind of business we will run, but if we help the humans multiply on all continents while they live a safe life, in exchange for protection while we stop turning humans, we will find ourselves with a lot of aura crystals in just a century. Given a safe place to live, we will see the numbers of humans rising in an unprecedented manner. Vampires will never lack Aura crystals to live on after that.” Nile said.
“A safe place will not just cut it. We need to let the people know what danger is and we also need to let them make their own mistakes because no matter how safe you make these continents, humans, vampires and shapeshifters will never live in harmony together.” Fangs said before he added: “What you need to think about is becoming stronger than anybody else under you. That way, what you say is everybody’s wish. All of them will just become your subjects.”
“I guess the ‘being strong’ part is covered, but you forget King Alek who has been planning his revenge for three hundred years. You cannot just think about his continent in your plans so easily. We need to come back to our senses before we rattle that snake.” Nilus said.
“He is just a minor character now. With uncle’s pyrokinesis with you, you can burn him into ashes before he even knows it. His little fire can’t match yours. Uncle’s fire is of the 36th stage even if limited by his 12th stage soul brand, it is no normal fire.” Graxx said.
As they reached the blood church, Nile assumed command and gave multiple orders.
Humans were never to be harmed.
Humans were never to be turned against their will.
Humans were to be left alone in their territories and protected when they came out.
Helping the humans live in a safe environment was to be a priority.
A sense of safety had to be maintained in all races. No more conflicts.
A new human king, Nilus Hornraven, was to be crowned in three year’s time. He was to be the new ruler of the Darkcloud and the Newwolf continents as well as the leader of the alliance between the humans, the vampires and the shapeshifters.
Cale was finally turned into a true shifter. His divine soul immediately propelled him to the Alpha level.
After everything was taken care of, Nilus decided to come back home.

Tales From the Terran Republic
We tried, you know… We really did. We tried so hard to be… better… We actually were better once. No, seriously. We were enlightened, generous, peaceful… Stop laughing! We were! We were peaceful, dammit! No, I’m not “tugging your winglets.” It’s true! Look, if you’re going to be like that, I’ll just push the launch button right now. See ya, don’t wanna be… Oh, you ARE interested after all? Ok. Hey, I just got word that your captain will be ok. We were able to get him into a med pod quick enough… Of course, we tried to save him. Just what sort of people do you think we are?... Now that was harsh… completely accurate, mind you… but harsh. Anyway, like I was saying, we were a prosperous, peaceful people, and war had been nothing but a distant memory for over five hundred years before it happened... Before Yellowstone happened! You don’t mean to tell me that you didn’t know about that… massive supervolcano? Blew the Hell out of our planet? Two years where nothing grew?… Anyway, that’s what started it, the Sol Wars… Oh, you have heard about those, huh? Well, needless to say, all that enlightened, generous, and peaceful didn’t exactly make it through the two years of complete famine and the wars that followed… Maybe it’s more accurate to say the enlightened, generous, and peaceful among us didn’t survive… (laughs)… You’re right. It does explain a lot, doesn’t it? Probably for the best, though. “Enlightened” and “peaceful” aren’t really all that useful out here in the galaxy at large, are they? That reminds me; thanks for the ship. You guys did a great job with this one. Oh, don’t be like that. At least it was us what got you and not one of the really messed groups like the Harlequin or the Black Angels. We’re just going to take your shit. It could be worse… trust me... Well, anyway, we loaded the life pods down with some good food, and you guys can drink alcohol, right? We put in a couple of fifths in there, too. It’s about forty percent ethanol, so be warned. Most species will want to dilute that. We’ll drop your wounded off somewhere safe once they are stable. Your fleet patrols this area fairly regularly, and we’ll drop the distress beacon right before we jump… Well, It’s been fun and no hard feelings, right?… Oh, you want to know some more? Sure. I got time to kill… Let me tell you about this one pirate and her crew. They’re Terran scum, but they are still… Why do we hate the Terrans? Hoo Boy… How much time you got? *** It’s the thirty-second century, and humanity is now part of a galactic civilization comprised of hundreds of worlds. Humanity has been savaged by natural disaster and war and has been fractured into several separate populations, all of which loathe each other (some things never change). This is a gritty drama-driven rambling tale that swings between action, drama, horror, and plenty of very, very dark comedy. Warning: contains adult situations, absolutely horrible language, bathroom humor, implied ultra-violence, actual ultra-violence, drugs, alcohol, pirates, mercs, xeno prostitutes, moral ambiguity, deranged AI's with identity issues, giant commie space slugs, and a poor little frog girl who just wants to sell coffee. Updates twice weekly on Tuesday and Friday. *** Note: This story can get rough. Those warning tags? They aren't for show. I recently received a review and as a result I want to make one thing clear. Portraying something is NOT endorsing it! Many "heavy" topics are touched upon and just because a character says or does something does not imply that the author feels the same way. I selected the "Anti-Hero Lead" and "Villainous Lead" tags for a reason. Rule number one of this story is "no good guys". A good description of the story is, "bad people doing bad things to worse people". There are a few good characters, here and there, but they are the exception to the rule. If you want a hard-hitting, exciting, gritty sci-fi story that doesn't pull any punches, or shies away from "difficult" concepts, welcome! If you are set on a pure and noble knight that runs around and slays conveniently evil monsters and rescues totally innocent princesses... or your sensibilities are easily offended... You're not going to be happy with this one.

Project G00
|Nanopunk |Crafting | Detailed Science and experiments | Inner thoughts | Bio-Robots | Evolution | Infodumps | Tell not Show | Insane to Sane | Slow and Detailed Pace | Puddle to Unknown | Artificial Intelligence | Trans-humanism | Bad Jokes | Moving 'Dungeon' Core | Hi! I am G00. I am a project made by some weirdo. Some may refer to me as the wobbly thing in the fridge or the slimy thing in the ceiling. Others might tell you about that sticky thing inside your nose. In the end, they called me the Seed of Life, yet didn’t tell me what I was supposed to become. Furthermore, it just happens that this stage was the most miserable place to reincarnate... Reincarnate as in… What the hell did I become?! (Whispers) You are a puddle. A puddle? (Whispers) Yes. C’mon little guy, say your lines! You’re live right now! Welcome to puddle-springs aka the afterlife of a puddle. CUT! Eh? Why?! No edition or photoshop needed?! We’re short on puddle-staff. The camera is broken, I am broken, and you are broken. Wait! How can a puddle be broken? You are not a puddle, you are frozen yogurt. NOOOOOOOOOO! Additional summary: Spoiler: Spoiler Humanity has finally made the second step towards space. Many developments were taking place at the time this happened. All of them accomplished thanks to nanotechnology. Inventions regarding Artificial Intelligence and nanorobotics created the opportunity, a way to terraform planets by sending nanorobots to space. Their orders? Colonizing and preparing the new worlds before humanity's arrival, aka terraforming. Meet G00, a weird agglomeration of nanomachines. A bit stupid, but it's not because he was like that. The little guy... 'He' is really broken. The hardest start of a story is when language is oddly misunderstood, when you know nothing of the place you just arrived; when your companion is a buggy system, and when you have to repair yourself with whatever trash you can scavenge from your surroundings. All of this while you fight your worst enemy: potatoes? What will you do in an unfamiliar circumstance where nothing is what it seems and where you won't even understand the boring ramblings of a confused main character? Well, patience will... probably have a reward? Additional tags and disclaimers: Read before starting the story: Harem: Not included for the moment, depends on characters added, votes by readers, and things that happen on the go. Magic: Far away chapters maybe... as part of high level or non-understandable things by science. Slice of life: Probably some parts will include it. Disclaimer #1: Crazy amount of content about high-tech info-dumps, slow pace, starts with biology and nanotechnology. Might have some weird jokes and puns. Game bugs are also possible. Disclaimer #2: No puddles were harmed during the making of this story. No character is real, no real puddle was used as part of the cast. Character is stupid at the start on purpose but he will get beta and beta. All written content follows a logical approach no matter how stupid it appears to be, maybe… Because it’s just a raccoon splashing some cotton-candy over a puddle after it was thrown. Yup, a bully raccoon with rabies or so it seems.
