---------------------Jonah's POV--------------------
I let out a small sigh when I saw the guild employee looking at me. He was a human man and seemed to be in his early forties, I could see through the glass window that his dark brown hair already started to turn grey in some parts. That was probably because of stress. I wouldn’t call myself a human specialist, but this was an easy case. These employees had to talk to people that could ruin his whole life, just because they didn't like the way you talked to them, so of course the employees were under constant stress. Conquerors, with a high enough level, had enough influence to pressure several different organizations and if there was a company sponsoring them it was already over once the conqueror made the call.
There were several different companies sponsoring conquerors with good initiate skills, they would give them items and social assistance to, for example, raise their popularity or income overall. It was the same system that football players had to wear the logo of their sponsors on their jerseys, it was the perfect walking ad. The conquerors just had to say who their sponsor is in several interviews etc. The conqueror in question just had to sign a contract, that in most cases, said that some percent of the gold and items from dungeons would go to the company and the company has some influence in the conqueror overall. These companies would then form parties from those people and use them to influence the media etc. Most companies have a good reputation, but some companies even scammed the conquerors, that didn't get a contract from another company, to sign a contract with bullshit conditions like 80% of the gold and items to the company or some other stuff. Well, I didn't even get one of those contracts, because my initiate skill was completely useless in combat, but still.
The guild employee was wearing the blue-suit guild uniform and his eyes seemed to sigh in relief when he inspected me, so I inspected him too.
Audie Johnston Level 17 - initiate skills 1 - Human General information - Official guild employee, former conqueror.
A blue box then appeared above his head and I read it, and of course his damn name was colored "dangerous". Even the system told me I was weak. For him a must have looked like this.
Jonah Bellwood Level 5 - initiate skills 1 - Human General information - Works as a courier for the guild.
My name didn't even have a damn color. I was just a weak as fuck courier working for the guild. There were colors that the system used to categorize the danger of higher level individuals. It ranged from no color to green to orange to red and then to purple. My name didn't have a color and his was orange, so I was weaker than him for sure. He sighed in relief because he didn't have to be scared of me. Not that I would want people to be scared of me, but I at least want them to not think of me as a weakling...

When I reached the opening of the window, the man said, with a business like smile and deep and smooth voice, "Welcome to the Frontline-guild, how can I help you?"
I pushed my dark thoughts back into mind and powered the positive side of me. I showed a friendly smile and answered in my own, not as deep and smooth, but youthful and warm voice, "Hello, I would like to do a quest"
The employee looked at me skeptically but still asked, "Do you have a party, do you want to join one or do you want to do it alone?"
I ignored his look and answered, "I don't have a party and want to join one"
"Then please put your personal terminal into the designated slot below the window in front of you", I did as I was told and then waited for a bit. After a minute or so of waiting, the employee nodded and asked, "Okay, Mr. Bellwood, what kind of quest would you like to do?"
"I want do the mining quest in the dungeon I saw on the terminal just a minute ago."
"Alright, there is a quest in 2 hours and they still need someone to carry the mana stones, do you want to do this one or wait for another?"
"I will take that one, yes. I also have some mana stones from gate 3 I had to bring here today, can I finish the job right here?"
The employee seemed to check the supplies scheduled for today. When he found the job with my name he nodded and said, "Of course you can, but where are they if I might ask?"
"Right here", I said while using my initiate skill dimensional storage. Right next to my right opened a purple rift in space. I put my arm into it and pulled a iron briefcase out of it, the portal then closed again and I faced the employee. The employee seemed to be shocked but his smile never faded from his face. He was a veteran at his job, just like his grey hair teased. Why couldn't I ever meet someone that already knows my skill and get over with it? At least there was a high change of meeting the veteran again.
Everyone that got the system has their own initiate skills. Initiate skills could range from normal elemental skills, like fireball or ice spear, to invisibility or one like my own dimensional storage. One could have 1 - 3 initiate skills. Initiate skills usually awaken when someone reached "pre-adulthood" which was the age of 16 for humans. When their age reached 16, they would then awaken 1 - 3 initiate skills. There were better and worse initiate skills. These skills were not unique, so someone on earth could have a dimensional storage too, but it would be very, very, very difficult to find someone in billions that has the same 3 initiate skills as someone else with 3 of them, same for someone with 2 initiate skills. These skills seemed to be there to help the people fight against the monsters and fight for their survival.

Someone that was already above the age of 16 when the system came, would only awaken 1 initiate skill at the start, but these people could still awaken 1 - 2 more if they instinctively use them in certain situations. One could for example awaken a calculator initiate skill while trying not to get scammed or something similar. I tried a lot of different methods but I never got another initiate skill. I was close to giving up several times, but I never gave up in the end. I had to make money, how could I make the most money? By being a conqueror of course, so I always trained with my rusty iron sword every day when I had time, so that when I would one day awaken my skills I could start going into the dungeons and earn money for my family.
I put the briefcase into the opening of the window and the employee said, "Thank you, I signed the job certificate as a proof of having received the delivery. I uploaded the quest information into your terminal with the information you would need to finish the quest. Is there something else I could do for you?"
I smiled and answered, "No thank you, that would be all."
"Alright then, have a nice day.", said the employee with a final smile before looking down at the counter again.
I then took my terminal from the counter and turned around to leave, just as I turned around both doors opened and a big man slowly entered. When I meant big I meant big as fuck. The man was at least 4 m high and almost 2 m wide. What the hell? The air around him seemed to be heavy and suffocating and it was like the time in the guild seemed to stop and everyone stopped talking or moving and were looking at the man. The man wasn't wearing a helmet, so I could see his face. His green skin, arms that reached his knee joints, his upper body that seemed to big for his shorter than normal, but still strong as hell, legs. His whole body was covered in golden armor and the only point that wasn't covered by it was his head.
Did someone invite Hulk? Not that I would ever say that out loud, but now it made sense that the doors were so damn high and wide, there were guys like this Hulk right here. He was one of the nameless aliens, probably a high ranking one. The man walked in like he owned the place, which he probably did, and said with a deep voice that shocked me to the core, "Hello, gentleman. I heard someone did something bad in one of my bars down the entertainment street, so I came to talk to him"
He was looking around and was likely searching for the person in question. Even though I knew it wasn't me, I started to sweat and was trying to make my presence seem as small as possible, which seemed to be the case for everyone inside this building. The small part of my mind that wasn't crying for Thor to get down here right now, inspected him.
Astaad Level 117 - initiate skills 3 - Nameless species #14862
General information - High ranking guild official, active outland-conqueror.
The rest of my mind then started sending out mental calls to spider man, while 1% kept on watching him walk to the tables. He sat down at one of the grey iron tables in the back, in front of him were sitting 3, drunk and scared, black haired men. "Ahh, there you are. My friend... Ryogi" Astaad said with a friendly smile, while likely reading the name of the man he just inspected.
After my own inspection I could tell that the man in the middle was Ryogi, the man on the left was called Kazuki and the man on the right was called Rei, they were all around level 20. They seemed to be Japanese and were happily drinking alcohol until Hulk walked in.
Language in itself, vanished with the system. Everyone, that was using the system was talking and writing in the same language, which seemed to be English, but I had no idea. After the system came I was just able to read and hear everything, even if it was in another language before, like it was in English to me. But if I want to, I could still watch Anime with subtitles and Japanese voices. It was strange in itself, but everything that was from or was in contact with the system was strange, I mean look at Hulk right here.
Ryogi started to sweat and you could see it slowly flowing down his now pale face. Even though he was drunk, he knew not to be rude to the "friendly" Hulk.
Astaad towered the man even while sitting at the table and said, "I heard you hit one of my employees. He had several broken ribs and we had to call an emergency healer to heal his wounds, else he would have died..." His smile was now gone and he was looking Ryogi right into his eyes while towering above him. It looked funny from my view but I highly doubt that Ryogi was having fun right now.

Child of Dusk
Life can be cruel, especially to those who don't fit in. But what would you do if you were given a second chance? Tim was a nobody during his time on Earth. As a penniless orphan with no friends to speak of, life was tough for him in his little Arizona town in the '90s. He'd utterly lost hope for the future until one day, he was reincarnated as Alvanue, beloved daughter and heir to the Starlit Throne of Silthonduen. Now, Alvanue has everything a princess could ever want: a loving family, loyal comrades and an entire kingdom at her finger tips. But what good is a kingdom when there's a whole world of magic and mystery out there to explore? *** Ok! Disclaimer time. I do edit my own work and I do not have a beta reader, so please feel free to point out any errors or plot holes (politely, of course). Each chapter will be around 4,000 to 6,000 words long and while I was posting every day at the beginning, I think I'll cut that down to once a week for now, excluding bonus chapters! I really don't want to get burned out. I started writing this because I love world building, so this is gonna be heavy on lore. If you're not into that, there's still a ton of character progression and action to look forward to! It's going to be slow at the beginning, but I promise it will pick up eventually. Thanks for checking my story out, I appreciate it a lot!

Fortuna Verto
A girl’s luck changes when her world changes upon itself, sending her back and forth between a world she knows and another that shouldn’t even exist. Working with her parallel self from that other world, the two must adjust to their alternate form when visiting the other’s world, as they search for a way to escape the chains of misfortune they are bound to. While this story is the conclusion of the trilogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, as the world of Celese itself is no longer a place the characters will be journeying through. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for all previous books, in case that matters to anyone. This book has an additional chapter after the final chapter that represents the trilogy conclusion, and should not be read until all three books are read first. Fortuna Verto continues the events of Essentia Animus to advance society into a sci-fi interpretation of Celese, bringing events to a distant world of another star. At the same time, events interpret a real-world advancement into a similar sci-fi age of another planet that shares Earth’s galaxy, a planet that has also been linked by the Celesi Veil. English remains predominant in both worlds of the story, but the presence of both sides makes certain Aethyx terms stand out, while Earth-styled scientific terms will also stand in a powerful contrast. Instrumentation remains an important aspect of the Elemental Era, but the influence of the gift has grown distant after discovering the superiority of the elements. Harnessing the elements had eliminated some of the original limitations of instrumentation, allowing for a self-sustaining focal source that provides solutions to problems such as automation. This turns the development available from the previous modern-day sense of a fantasy to one that is deep-future. Finally, opening access to the passage across the veil will open this progress in comparison to a very similar deep-future parallel world without such fantasy elements, contrasting the laws of physics with the laws of elements in a convergence of time and space.
