---------------------Jonah's POV--------------------
It was normal day on Earth. It was sunny and the sun was shining on the asphalt. You could see people wearing armor that reflected the the sun and the people wearing it walked with a straight back. They were usually in a group of 5 or more. Some people were wearing leather, some cloth and some were wearing the sun-reflecting plate armor. The usual "party" for dungeon "conquering".
Conquering was not really the right word, because Humanity never got further than the 50th layer in the Dungeon. That was, because after layer 50, you couldn't go back to the entrance, you can only advance further into the Dungeon until layer 100, kill the endboss and get out.
That was not my problem because my level was only 5 and my initiate skill was bad as hell. I mean, how was I supposed to kill a monster with my Dimensional Storage? I couldn't even level it up, not that I would have the money for it.
You can only level initiate skills. There were skillbooks, but you can't level these skill to make them stronger. To level them, you have to do enough quests for a "System-Legal-Guild" and then use your questpoints and gold, that you got from killing monsters, to upgrade them with the system.
At that time of the day I was walking to the Frontline-Guild, so that I could do a quest. I needed money, a LOT to be honest. Well for me, it was a lot, for your usual Party it probably wasn't.
I needed money, so that my little sister could go to a Dungeon-School, where you could learn how to survive in the dungeons.
I usually made money by transporting items from A to B, with my Dimensional Storage. But that wasn't enough. I needed 1000 credits to enroll her and then 100 every month till she graduates.

Right now I was getting around 1000 credits a month, whereas 500 were for the flat my mother, little sister and I were currently living in. It was a small flat, but it was enough to survive. Yes, survive. Then we were needing around 300 credits for our daily necessities and for the rest of the month we would have to use the 200 credits from my job and the 300 from my mothers' job for clothing and "luxuries".
My mother was working part-time in a restaurant near our home, the rest of her time she was at home and did the chores, with my little sister. She also usually did her best to help my little sister with her dungeon-studies.
The Guild was your usual fantasy guildhall, besides the fact that it was more modern with terminals and other scify stuff, that I have never touched before.
I was finally in front of the building. It was iron-grey and made out of iron and looked pretty plain with 2 big windows at the left and right side of the 5 meters high and 3 meters wide double door. The building seemed to be all about efficiency with its rather cube looking fassade.
I was trying not the be seen when I walked around the people talking in front and inside the building. The inside had 5 people spaced out, behind some kind of counter with glass inf front of it, on the left. These were the Guild workers, where you could get information about everything specific to the Guild and dungeons in the area.
I walked up to the queue that seemed to be the shortest, and walked to the end of the line. While I was doing that, I looked around me without making eye-contact. These people looked down on weaker people with low level and the higher the level the more you have to be careful of them, because if they were to punch you, there was nothing you could do and if their level was high enough and their stats were based on STRENGTH, you could even die from it. No joke.
That was why I put all my statpoints on my SPEED-stat, so that I could possibly dodge or make a run for it, if needed.

With my SPEED on 35, I could have a maximum speed of 70 km/h and would be able to go to half of that, in just a second. Which would sound crazy fast, but basically everyone with a level of around 20 and a warrior class was just as fast, if not faster. Let's not talk about mages and their initiate skills, which would kill me just as fast as a warrior and they wouldn't even have to move.
SPEED also enhanced my reflexes and ability to move efficient with as little moves as possible. I once tried myself on knitting and DAMN that was something to watch. Once I got the hang of it I knitted so fast and efficient, it looked like some kind of machine, but in the end the scarf still looked like shit.
I got to level 5 by killing level 1 monster birds in our garden, since the System came to Earth a year ago. The first birds where difficult to kill, but after putting my 5 statpoints per level into SPEED, it got increasingly easier to aim my old and rusty ironsword to slice them.
I got that ironsword for 50 credits a while ago. It was basically useless in a fight versus someone with a higher level, but my mother and sister bought it for me anyways. They said it makes them feel better when I carry it with me when leaving home. It gives them hope that I will come back everyday and be safe.
It was finally my turn to talk to the Guild-employee, so I stepped up to the counter.
"Welcome to the Frontline-Guild, how can I help you?", said the middleaged human man, with a business smile, behind the counter.
I answered, "I want to do a quest."
"Do you have a party, do you want to join one or do you want to do it alone?", he said, still smiling.
"I don't have a party and want to join one", I answered.
"Then please but your System-ID on the mark", he said and pointed to a red metal pedestal. I did as told and waited. After some time the employee said I could take it back and did just that.
He then asked, "Okay Mr. Bellwood, what kind of quest do you want to do?"
"I want a mining quest, I am level 5 and have a skill to carry around 300 kg of mana cristals"
After some time the employee said, "Alright, there is a mission in 2 hours and they still need someone to carry the cristals, do you want to do this one or wait for another?"
Without missing a beat I said, "I want this one, please"
The employee smiled politely and asked for my terminal again, which I put on the pedestal again and after some time I could take it back.
"You now have all the information you need to know for the quest in your updated questlog. The money will be sent to the designated account the moment you step into the dungeon. Is there something else you would need my help with?"
"No thank you that would be all", I said with a smile and left the building.

The Type Specialist
Alex wakes up in the world of Pokémon. Obviously, the next step is to become a Pokémon Trainer, but not just any Pokémon Trainer. Why should I be mediocre with every type when I can be an expert in one? The Type Specialist is my first attempt to write a fiction. It is solely about travelling the world and building a strong team. Don't expect a solid plotline outside of Alex taking on the Gym Challenge and dealing with small problems that pop up here and there. Updates 5 times a week, every weekday until caught up.

Parasitic Sword Monarch.
Cultivators rule the multiverse, this is an indisputable fact, their ability to control the various elements and concepts grant the mightiest among them the right to stand tall above creation, dominating man and beast alike. Countless legends and mighty figures are spread throughout the multiverse, but none of this matters to the young boy born into a slowly declining clan in one of the larger universes. To him, all that matters is the safety of his clan and his family members, to reach that end, he would even wield the world itself as his sword and point the tip right at the throat of the heavens.

Caged within the Ravencourt
A short and pain-filled life was all that Melissa was given, and it wasn't until falling asleep for the last time that she was finally given something more. Waking up in a healthy and young body, and faced with an unfamiliar culture and even more inexplicable sights, Melissa had to adapt to her life new as Kalie, the third Princess of the Shattered Isles of Cerith. It didn't take long for Kalie to realize that even though she finds herself in a strange world, she may just be one of the strangest parts of it. As Kalie comes to terms with her bizarre new life, she finds herself set in the sights of the powerful new king of a far off land. Eventually finding herself taken away to be Caged within the Ravencourt. This story is world spanning, and slow to start. It's my intention to build up towards the epic story I'm hoping to tell. Don’t expect over the top powers, just smart characters using magic interestingly. And, like my other stories, the focus is on the characters themselves, less so the world they’re in. Enjoy!
