Fellow sci-fi fans. I'd like to announce that this story is, well, dead. HOWEVER, I've recently had quite a bit of a mood for sci-fi, and I have wrote something new... which, concidentally, might turn into a rewrite of a significant part of the story above.
It's even named identically.
Seriously, read it. I think I finally improved the quality quite a bit.
