《The subtle World of Terraria》2-17. The misunderstanding with the Elven Queen.

*Evan POV*
I don’t really want to say much but Tifa somehow managed to rid of the misunderstanding...again. Sarah was out of breath and panting really hard she was holding her knees with her hands and trying to catch her breath while staring daggers at me. She most definitely ran all the way here without stop, I guess she can’t fathom having Tifa anywhere near me.
“You're lucky.” Sarah said in between her pants, “Tifa stopped me from killing you.” She breathed a bit more and pointed at me while still kneeling down a bit trying to breath properly. “Every time Tifa is alone with you! You make her cry! There is no way I can trust you with her!” She was trying to sound intimidating but there’s no way an out of breath loli elf could intimidate me.
Tifa tried to calm the situation between me and her sister. “S-Sis I told you that it wasn't his fault. It's just...” she started fiddling with her fingers as she smiled and looked away in embarrassment. “I was just really happy.”
Sarah was shocked, petrified even, “D-Dont tell me!” She said as she pointed her trembling hands at me. “YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON HIM!?!”
Honestly, I blushed a little bit but Tifa poured water on my fire. “NO!!!” Tifa blurted out immediately, surprised at herself for how fast she responded.
God dam it, I got rejected before I even thought of asking her out.
Sarah sighed in relief and then stared at me menacingly. She stood up straight as if all her exhaustion was gone and pointed at me. “If you ever hurt Tifa, remember that I will kill you.” No hesitation in her voice and from previous engagements I could tell she was not lying.
I responded with a double thumbs-up. “Awesome. Now let's go to the elf kingdom before, you know? It's destroyed?” I said sarcastically.
Sarah was mad at me but got serious when I reminded her of what was at stake “We're almost at the border. This time, don’t run off and follow behind us.” Sarah told me.
I nodded and stared at her. She looked into the dark distance which was lit up by the moon light, Sarah and Tifa both nodded at each other as the started jumping from to trees again like ninjas. Obviously, I followed them with my trusty Grappling hook, but I didn’t zip past them this time, I kept my pace slow this time.
The wind whistled past my in this quiet night and I could sometime hear the groans of Sarah as she struggled to Ninja jump from one tree to another, Tifa wasn’t having any problem though. This kept on for a while until they both jumped down to the ground which was surprisingly barren of zombies.
“We're finally here.” Sarah said as they both took off their robes, revealing their tight black leather shirt and pants. I must say, If Tifa wore a black mask she would become invisible in any dark place, Sarah on the other hand, well she’s short, so I guess she could fit short places? I don’t know what Sarah is, but Tifa looked like an actual ninja without the mask.
I looked ahead and the only thing in front of us was darkness, trees and a small path made of dirt that lead in to the deep dark ahead of us.
“We were a bit faster this time weren't we?” Tifa said to Sarah.
“Don’t look at me,” Sarah responded, “It's because of Mr. Gotta-go-fast over here who couldn't give me a break...” She was going to say something else too but trailed off and looked back at me. “That reminds me, what was your name?”

“Evan...” I said but I started thinking, Aren’t I in Reid’s body? So which name should I use? I thought hard but couldn’t conclude. “…or Reid. Whichever you prefer.”
Sarah looked at me weirdly but shrugged it off. “Alright, Evan then.” She didn’t even bother thinking why I had two names.
“So, What now?” I asked the duo but then I heard a small rustle from the darkness ahead. I quickly equipped my shotguns on both hands and went on guard.
“Don’t take out your weapons!” Sarah quickly scolded me, “It’s probably one of the guards here to pick us up- ” Sarah couldn't complete her sentence as her eyes went wide open looking at the figure coming towards us. Tifa followed her gaze and also shocked.
The person coming towards us looked like a 25~30 year-old woman with skin as white as porcelain, long ears and yellow straight hair that almost touched the ground. She was wearing a flower crown on her head that was decorated with... Dayblooms I presume. Daybloom looks like like sunflowers and the flower crown was filled with them, She was wearing a long green Chinese dress which was imprinted with golden flowers as it’s design... Also, her chest was huge. She had a really curvy body.
“Y-Your Highness!” They both stammered as they quickly kneeled down on one foot and looked down.
“Uhhh-” I said confused. Am I supposed to be kneeling down with them?
“Ara,” She looked at me and tilted her head, every motion she made was graceful, She also had the most graceful and motherly voice I have ever heard of. Yet I was still confused and stood there stupidly.
She looked at me curiously before she started talking to the duo, “how are my 2 kids faring? Looks like you two brought a friend along with you this time.” She said as looked at me.
“Uhhh... Hi,” I said as I quickly raised my hand and waved at her, “I'm Evan. How are ya.”
I have no clue how I’m supposed to be acting towards the elven queen but looks like whatever I’m doing is kind of working.
She chuckled a little and it sounded like bells Ringing in the air.
“I’m fine,” She said, “And At ease you two. Has he caused any trouble?” She looked at the duo like a mother looks at her child.
They both stood up and looked at each other before looking back to the queen.
“N-No, your highness.” Tifa covered for me as she kept looking down.
The Elven queen’s motherly aura instantly went away as her eyes narrowed “Why are you lying Tifa?” she said coldly.
Woah! What in the hell just happened? How the hell did she know Tifa’s lying? …wait, am I in trouble?
Tifa flinched at the queens words and Sarah sighed, as If she knew Tifa was gonna get caught. Sarah then looked back at me with an evil grin. ‘Revenge!’ was what her eyes was saying and I started sweating huge balls.
Don't you Flippen dare!
“Your highness!” She said, like a ticking time bomb that I could not dis-arm, “Evan had attempted to r*pe Tifa before. If it wasn't for me then I don't know what would've happened, And he has also made Tifa cry twice in a single day.”
That’s it, no amount of snitching will ever surpass what Sarah did to me just now. Imagine joking with your friends, telling her that she’s so sexy that you would r*pe her, and then, Mr. Richard the snitcher tells the fucking president what you just said. I’m pretty sure that’s an accurate representation of what just happened right now.

Before I could explain or defend myself, I felt a thick killing intent coming from the queen herself, I didn’t need to the system’s help to know that I was in danger. I looked towards the Queen and I could see a thick red aura coming out of her body that just screamed out the word "Kill"
“Oh, I see now.” The queen said with a cold voice that terrified me even with the Pain-Immunity. “So he's here for punishment?” I couldn't believe that such a motherly voice could also feel so terrifying.
“W-Wait a minute! it was a Misunderstanding!” I desperately tried to defend myself “R-Right Tifa?” I looked over to Tifa for help.
“Tifa, did he actually assault you?” The queen said angrily.
Tifa looked between me and the queen. She knew she couldn’t lie to her so she had to explain everything quickly. “Y-Yes. He did tried to assault me, But it wa-” Tifa didn’t even manage to finish her sentence when something tangled on my leg.
“WhaAAAAAAA!!!” Before I could say anything whatever was latched onto my leg dragged me across the ground to the queen before stopping me there.
I saw her brandishing her sharp nails, My reflex skill kicked in and I could see she was aiming for my face. I quickly moved my head slightly and avoided her attack.
Her nails dug straight to the ground right beside me and it was too close for comfort. Good thing I still had my shotguns equipped.
Because she was on top of me and was also a queen I only shot once to blast her away and gain some distance. I really don't want to fight the Elf Kingdom before saving it.
My shotgun made a large boom and I saw damage numbers above.

She was launched back a bit from the recoil and I quickly stood up. I looked at the thing that was latched onto my leg and it was a thick vine. I equipped my Copper Short Sword in my off-hand and kneeled down to start cutting the vine off quickly.
“TIFA!” I screamed out “HURRY UP AND EXPLAIN THE MISUNDERSTANDING!”
This is all happening because of Sarah and her petty revenge that I could not help but think of a way to beat her up later. The vine got cut off and I stood up. I looked at Tifa for help and before could do anything, Sarah shot an arrow towards me.
Sarah screamed out in anger. “WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING TO HER HIGHNESS!?”
My reflexes kicked in again and I rolled to the side. The arrow missed me but something hit me from the other side where I was not paying attention too. I was launched away from the recoil and hit a tree.

WHATS UP WITH THAT DAMAGE!?
Ahem, let me rephrase that. I have 22 points of defence, this is the same as me wearing 2 sets of silver armor. but even with that amount of defence, I took a total of 34 points of damage. This means that without the armor, whatever hit would do around 50-70 points of damage.
Life: 124/160
I looked at what hit me and saw a thick vine that had sprouted out of the ground, it was almost as wide as a tree with spikes sticking out of it. It was waving around like it was alive and the queen came out from behind the thick vine.
What type of magic is that? That isn't from Terraria!
I switched the Copper Short Sword to my zombie arm and another arrow came whistling towards me but this time I used the skill parry(ranged).
I parried it successfully with the Zombie Arm and the arrow bounced up. Before it could hit the ground, I tried using the skill Counter(ranged)
I hit the arrow with the zombie arm but it just went forward a few steps before striking the ground.
Dam, I really thought it would go back and hit Sarah. I thought to myself, Is this a fail or is it that counter doesn't actually deflect the arrow back?
I didn’t really had the luxury to think to myself as I saw another vine coming towards me from the side, so I used parry on it.
The vine hit my Zombie Arm, but the force behind it was so much that it made me slide back a couple steps.
“This is the first time someone was able to resist my magic.” The queen spoke menancingly, “Tell me boy, who are you?”
I looked at her with sass, “Not to be dramatic but, I’m just a lone boy against the world.” I paused for her reaction but she didn’t say anything, “Ok, so would you please listen to me-? ”
I heard someone running towards me from behind so I quickly turned around and used parry.
Sarah's silver sword hit my zombie's arm and some Sparks flew. After finding out that she couldn't gain any advantage, she clicked her tongue and jumped back to gain distance. I could see Tifa in the background still fumbling over who to support.
“Do you seriously think we would let you go away after you harmed the queen!?” Sarah said with clenched teeth.
THIS WOMAN FORGOT WHY WE GOT HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE! I thought to myself angrily.
I quickly started reminding her, “I'm pretty sure the fate of the kingdom matters more than a small scratch on the queen?”
“YOU!” Instead of her coming to my side, Sarah just got more angry as she rushed towards me, I switched the Zombie arm with the Enchanted Boomerang I got from the cave in and threw it towards her before I grappled to a tree on the side to avoid another vine attack from behind.
My face slammed on the tree and Sarah ducked down to avoid the boomerang. It whistled passed from above her as she quickly took out her bow and aimed at me.
“You missed!” Sarah screamed at me as she quickly nocked an arrow to her bowstring.
“Did I?” I said as I pitied her. There’s a unique quirk all boomerangs had, and that was that they always come back. Sarah looked at me confused before looking back towards the boomerang. But, it was too late. The boomerang smacked her right at the face.
The knockback was so much that Sarah did a barrel roll before she fell head first to the ground. It hit her so hard that I could see a debuff revolving around her head.
Concussion: stunned for 28 seconds.
Can I see their debuffs because of the peek skill I got from the library? I thought to myself as the Enchanted boomerang returned back to my hand.
Tifa still didn't dare to move. I don’t know if she’s thinking between supporting her own kin or just a random friend who showed her kindness but she’s TOO DAMN SLOW!!!
“How dare You!?” The queen screamed, the visage of elegance was no longer there and instead there was an aura of murder surrounding her now.
Okay, now she's really mad.
“You come in to my kingdom and attack my children!” she screamed out as many thick vines started emerging out of the ground near her. “Do you really think I would let you go away that easily?”
I don’t know if she's seriously overprotective or had many husbands but regardless, I’m dead if Tifa doesn’t save me now.
“Tifa,” I said as I took cover behind my shotgun and boomerang. “I could use that explanation any time now.”
Tifa snapped back to reality and quickly tried to say “Y-Your majest-” But before she could say anything the queen interrupted her.
“Tifa! Take care of your sister! I will take care of this rodent!”
I’m a rat now?
“Hey! You seriously don't want to listen!?” I tried to talk some sense into her “YOUR ENTIRE KINGDOM IS AT STAKE! IF YOU DON’T CALM DOWN THEN MANY MORE OF YOUR SO-CALLED CHILDREN WILL DIE!”
I tried to tell her but a giant vine came from the ground and tried to hit me.
I quickly grappled towards the queen this time and switched my boomerang to the zombie arm, I then used the skill Thrust imbued with the wand of sparking magic.
I de-attached the Grappling Hook and it gave me the momentum I needed. The zombie's arm caught on fire and I looked like a raging fireball headed straight towards the queen. I saw her eyes go wide open as she conjured up a green shield of some kind and it completely blocked my assault. The fire dissipated onto the surroundings and I was left wide open.
Hate it when the enemies also block my attacks.
{Author's Note: That's called Karma.}
She pointed her hand straight towards me and a magic circle formed in front of me. I panicked and put the zombie arm in front of me. The Zombie Arm was thinner than the gigantic wooden sword so I could only protect my face in the end.
I saw tons of stingers came out of the magic circle and hit me.

Duration: 29 sec.
My body was stuck with stingers everywhere and the queen was trying her very best to breathe properly.
“What's the matter?” I said cheekily “Tired already?”
“I-Impossible.” She said in between her pants, “Nobody has been able to survive a direct hit from that.”
I stood my ground and stared at her.
“Well, there’s a first time for everything, and have you calmed down yet?”
She clenched her teeth, jumped back and 3, even more, thicker vines smashed out of the ground. They were the sizes of trees, No. They were bigger than the trees.
...Shit.
I was about to drink a health potion, but right then and there, My guardian angel finally arrived. Tifa came in front of me and had her hands wide open as an attempt to protect me. She was looking straight towards the queen so I couldn't see her face but she sounded like she was crying.

Mistbound: Eternity
The world is said to be formed out of duality of man. Good and evil, right and wrong, light and dark. And with duality, comes conflict. A meaningless clash of ideals results in pointless wars. Azlan is wanderer who doesn't falls in either category. Tired and done with the redundant world, he lives his secluded life, hunting monstrosites for coin in the crumbling province of Mountaliya, situated in the land of Forsa. The premise follows Azlan as he explores the province, experiencing the culture and its people as they try to stand unshaken amidst a cold and unforgiving world. The story is a dark fantasy that is a balance of action and world building but most importantly, it follows the people going about their daily lives. The world has entered a state of stasis, there are no high stakes, no glory to be had, only a decaying realm of ice remains. Everyone awaits for Heaven's descent, an event prophesied to bring the world out of stasis, by granting the champion of the event a wish. Heaven Shall Descend. I wanted to write a high fantasy story that doesn't focuses too much on Magic and Swordfights, but rather interactions between people, a bit of politics and ideals. This is my first attempt at writing something this huge, please let me know if you see mistakes or any problems in general, so I can learn from them. (The cover picture is from the year 1818, "Wanderer Above the Mist" by Caspar David Friedrich). I also write Short stories set in the same shared universe.
