《The subtle World of Terraria》2-12. A bit more preparation

*Evan POV*
[No, you can't.] (Liza)
Liza flat out rejected Luna when she asked if she could join me on my mission.
[BUT WHY!?] (Luna)
Liza looked at Luna with her sharp eyes that gave off an air of professionalism. Honestly Liza looks the most mature out of everyone here and the only reason she seems to look up to me is because of my knowledge with this game like world. Otherwise I’m pretty sure she would be the matures one amongst us.
[Luna Helputt. The sole daughter of the king Helputt of the Demi-humans Silver Daemons kingdom. There is no way we can let you go on any missions. Especially since the Cultists are looking for you.] (Liza)
[BUT-] (Luna)
[We will also take care of you here in the Adventurer's guild for your safety until the cultists problem is fixed.] (Liza)
Luna suddenly pointed at me.
[Then take care of Reid too then! He's my personal knight!] (Luna)
Luna’s words surprisingly caused Liza to look at me helplessly. I’m guessing there was Weight in Luna’s words and Liza is looking at me for some help. Well, there’s no way I’m not going to solve this mystery/quest. Cultists, genocides, mysteries and quests. god damn it, this is a one in a lifetime chance of acting like a real Sherlock Holmes and I’m going to do it no matter how much Luna stops me.
[Alright, I'm gonna have to butt in on this one. Regardless of what happens, I still have to make preparation for the worst-case scenario, which is to face off the Eye of Cthulhu.] (Me)
[The eye of Cthulhu?] (Luna)
Luna asks with confusion and fear in her eyes. I was going to explain but Liza beat me to the punch.
[Yes, the giant threat we have to face right now. It can cause a complete genocide if not taken care of, according to Mr. Evan right here.] (Liza)
Luna started freaking out as she turned around to face me with desperation in her voice.
[N-No! I Reject the idea of you Facing this threat!] (Luna)
Oh boi.
[I also don't want to, but I have no other choice now do I? Plus, I'm the only one who actually knows how to defeat it in the first place.] (Me)
[Hm? Evan, do you really?] (Liza)
Liza asked me curiously and I smiled smugly. I slammed my fist into my hand to show her exactly how.
[Yep! Face it head on and beat the crap out of it.] (Me)
By now Luna was at her wits end by now but I can’t do anything about it. I’ve got a mission and I’m gonna flippen do it.
[NO MEANS NO!!!] (Luna)
[Sorry Luna, but I can't waste anymore time, I have to do tons of things and I don’t have a lot of time. Which reminds me, Liza, is there a mine or any cave system around here? Also where can I buy potion making materials?] (Me)
[Listen To Me When Im Talking!!!] (Luna)
Luna was getting teary eyed now. But I have to ignore her for now.
[There's one cave south of here in the mountains and the alchemical materials can be found in the shopping district which is also near the south gate.] (Liza)

[Listen to me Reid! You’re not leaving this Building! And why does she call you Evan!?] (Luna)
Ah shit, how do I explain to her why she calls me Evan?
[Ok, so, uh, remember when I said I got amnesia? Well I thought my name was Evan which is why she calls me Evan. Also sorry Princess, but I’m in a hurry and got to go.] (Me)
[Amnesia?] (Liza)
I heard Liza quietly say Amnesia so I bolted towards the exit doors. I’m fucked if I have to explain it anymore so I might as well just run away to save myself. Hopefully Liza will keep Luna with her, but even if Luna comes after me, as long as I’m fast enough, she can’t catch up to me.
I heard Luna calling out to me as I ran outside the Guild but I ignored her cries and ran straight towards the south gate… Luna's gonna be a pain to take care of isn't she?
Anyhow, I didn't really have to ask Liza about the shop location, because after reading some books from the library, all locations and points of interests in this kingdom are saved on my map. But then again, there's no harm in asking.
The sun was still above me and I did saw some shops on the way but I don't have the money with me right now and dashed through them all. Soon, I arrived at the gate and there were two guards who quickly stopped me.
[Halt! What business do you have outside.] (Guard 1)
[Hello Gentleman, I Uhh, I need to go towards the mountain over there?] (Me)
The guard looked towards where I pointed and then nodded his head. The other guard took out what seemed to be a small register and a piece of wood that had its and blackened
[On what time do you expect to return?] (Guard 2)
[Uhh, Around night time? Maybe? Maybe tomorrow? Something like that but why are you asking exactly?] (Me)
I got the Cultists after me so I can’t really trust anyone right now, At best I can give small information about where I’m going or when I’m returning back.
[This is In case if you haven't reached here by the time you specified. After that a rescue party will be dispatched to go in search of you or your body.] (Guard 2)
That sounds… reasonable enough. But still, shouldn’t trust them just in case. If I want to solve this mystery about the Cultists then I must act like Sherlock Holmes, and that great man once said. “Trust no Bitch.” So, I’m gonna go ahead and do that.
{Author Note: A little bit wrong, he actually said “Never trust to general Impressions, my boy, but concentrate yourself upon details.” But it’s close enough.}
[Oh, okay then I'm actually going for some mountain climbing for some ingredients and will probably return a day later. Maybe 2 days.] (Me)
[Alright please write it in this book.] (Guard 1)
He handed me the book he was about to write in and also the small wooden stick whose end was sharpened and had some black ink leaking out. I wrote the details and quickly left.
The outside of this gate was plainer with lesser trees. Which made me see in a much more wider view than the forest I build my house at which is surrounded by trees. I could see all the large mountain in the distance, some of the mountains had snow-covered peaks too, So I started running towards it because Liza told me the cave is near the mountains.

In a few minutes, I reached the mountains range and I saw a large hole at its base. It was also lit up by torches and went straight down. I equipped my zombie arm just in case and unhesitantly ventured down below.
I need some iron right now and if possible some life crystals to increase my Max HP. After that, I need to explore the surface at night again for some fallen stars. That way I can increase my total Mana. But the amount I have is also good enough since it requires about a second to recharge and another 2-3 seconds to fill up from 0 to max which is 40 points.
Then I need some blink root that only grows deep within caves. Hopefully I find some treasure chests deep in the underground chasms that aren’t looted. I'm definitely going to need Hermes boots for this fight if it does happen as they can increase my speed Immensely.
I kept thinking of my needs as I ventured below.............
*Tifa POV*
*During the time Evan reached the human kingdom*
After I rested and had my energy restored, due to my sister’s constant nagging, we immediately set out to visit the Silver daemon who fought of the zombies horde for the entire night and built a small shack for himself afterwards. We both were heading towards that exact Shack, but since my sister didn’t knew the way so I was leading her. I was still really unsure about all of this but my sister wouldn’t budge.
[Are you sure this will work?] (Me)
[Of course!] (Sarah)
She said brimming with a smile. After searched more information about the Silver daemon in question and found out that their entire castle was annihilated. No info about how and when it happened. But what we do know about is the whereabouts of the king and queen of the silver daemons kingdom who were recuperating in our kingdom… It must be tough living like that and also finding the strength to move on.
Soon enough, we finally found the small shack-like wooden house.
[This is the one.] (Me)
[Then let's give a big knock!] (Sarah)
Sarah quickly ran towards the door from behind me and started knock really loudly… knocking is putting it lightly because she was pretty much trying to bash the door open.
[HELLO!? SILVER DAEMON!? WE'VE COME BRINGING JOYOUS NEWS! OPEN UP!] (Sarah)
Moments later, the door opened up but we were both shocked to our very core. Because the one who opened the door was a human. Not the Silver Daemon in question but the taboo of a race that all elves avoid no matter what happens. The human had brown shabby hair and was wearing an off-white buttoned shirt with blue pants.
Sarah and I were in shock and couldn't move. This will be hard to explain back in the Adventurers Guild.
The human who got us into this situation looked at both of us curiously, as if he’s trying to identify who we are. But he quickly became uninterested after we didn’t say anything.
[If you're looking for my master then he isn't here at the moment.] (Human)
After saying that, he proceeded to close to the door. The door slammed closed in front of Sarah who was the closest to the human and it bewildered her.
[W-What just happened?] (Sarah)
I’m with my sister on this.
[That was an unusual reaction. I thought we would get the usual "Look an Elf! So Amazing and Beautiful!" Or like those that others say... And did he say master?] (Me)
I was trying to wrap my head around what just happened but Sarah wasn’t thinking and started knocking again at the door. I quickly screamed out
[Wait! What are yo-!] (Me)
before I could even respond, the door opened and the Human emerged again.
[Yes?] (Human)
He looked so uninterested as if we’re wasting his time.
[Where can we find the silver daemon who made this house?] (Sarah)
Sarah seemed unfazed by all this now and started talking like it’s nothing. On the other hand, the human looked at us suspiciously.
[Why?] (Human)
[Because we have some Amazing news for him!] (Sarah)
[...........if you're looking for him he went straight east from here. He won't come back for some time. Maybe some hours, maybe some days, maybe some weeks. There is a human kingdom in that direction so his destination was probably there.]
He then closed the door shut. As soon as went away, I lashed out at my sister for her stupidity
[What were you thinking!?] (Me)
She shrugged her shoulders at me.
[Getting info about our silver daemon friend? Duhhh? What else is there to ask the human?] (Sarah)
[But what if he tells others about seeing Us!? What Then!?] (Me)
I was starting to freak out, they already despise my because I’m not a pure bred. And if anything, else happens after this then I’m in a world of trouble.
[Relax, he already saw us. So, let’s make the best use of it right? Plus, if we don't tell anyone about this encounter then no one will know either.] (Sarah)
I was starting to get mad and almost lashed out again but gave up in the end.
[BUT!........... Hah, forget it.] (Me)
I can never win against her in logic.
[Okay Then! We're heading for the human kingdom!] (Sarah)
[W-Wait!? No! We can’t!] (Me)
[Wha-? Okay then you head back home I'll go alone.] (Sarah)
She pouted.
[Why are you Going to the Human Kingdom!?] (Me)
[To find the silver daemon? Duh?] (Sarah)
[I don't think He's worth that much Trouble!] (Me)
[When I say that I’ll do something, that means I’ll do it. Even if it means paying the human kingdom a visit. So, are you coming or not?] (Sarah)
I made a troublesome sigh.
[Fine, you win, I'm already here, so I might as well go then?] (Me)
Sarah looked excited and almost jumped in response.
[YAH HOO! Then Let's Go! I can’t Wait!] (Sarah)
I kept having a bad feeling about this as we both headed off for the human kingdom.

Crimson Gloom
Crimson Gloom. The time when the moon turns crimson, illuminating the landscape with its crimson glow. The time when the ‘doors’ to the Crimson Abyss open. One shall gaze into the abyss and gain its secrets and powers. Concurrently, the abyss also gazes into oneself, gaining one’s sanity and humanity. Humans eventually sealed the rifts and successfully defended their homeworld. Alas, the seals were not perfect. The Crimson Abyss continued to exist, slowly influencing Earth and its inhabitants. Half a century of relatively uneventful years passed… humanity slowly descended into corruption, and the majority of them knew nothing of the effects of the Crimson Abyss. Is there only the dreadful gloom left to the world? Can one find brightness in the increasingly gloomy world? The youth who had gazed into the Crimson Abyss had no answer, nor did he care. He only wanted the Crimson Gloom to end, to forever seal the Crimson Abyss. A mistake and a twist of fate led the youth into a seemingly totally different direction. Will he forget his lifelong goal? Will he instead step back onto his initial path that he fervently pursued? Disclaimer: I do not own the image on the cover. Image edited on canva.com.
