"Kai... how can he... how can he feel fine even after feeling all that? The Immortal's gaze felt like the God of Death loomed over my shoulder..."

Arata muttered with a pale face.

Erina who also felt the gaze but was spared from some of it was also quite pale but evidently better than the others. Heliana and Arata were the only ones who could speak but only Amelia was able to move because she wasn't gazed at.

Kai... how strong is your will?

They were gazed at for only an instant and their legs turned to mush but Kai has been fighting under the Immortal's gaze for who knows how long?

Flapping his four wings, Kai launched attack after attack at Fate but unlike before, these were actually doing damage. Sure, he couldn't kill or mortally wound Fate but immortality wasn't invincibility, Fate could still be physically and mentally hurt by attacks though none of them would be able to pierce his skin no matter how strong.

"B-bastard!"

Fate was flustered for the first time. Kai was a lot weaker than him but right now, Kai's blood was running rampant and it wasn't just one bloodline, it was three and all three of them were blood that stood at the peak of the world. Demons, angels, and vampires were beings to be feared so how strong would a fusion of those three become? If Kai's human part was replaced by a dragon's, he would undoubtedly be at the level of Gods. Of course, to actually shoulder that much power was a different matter. Vampires, demons, and angels had one thing in common, they were all proficient in magic but dragons were the strongest when it came to bodily power.

It was said that dragons could break apart mountains just by flapping their wings.

But Kai had one fatal flaw when it came to using three bloodlines at once, his blood wasn't pure. Vampires were immortal, but what about a fourth of a vampire? Kai wasn't immortal- he was far from it. Sure, vampires were immortal but he was only a fourth of that and on top of that, it wasn't from birth. If anything, his lifespan should've shortened significantly. The amount of power he could release from his bloodline running rampant wasn't as strong as pure bloods but his blood came directly from the daughter of a Goddess and the son of a Devil- a demon that has ascended past fifth stage, he had insanely potent blood.

"How long can this incomplete power of yours last?!"

Fate mocked Kai as his magic power rose, Fate's mana became firmer and stronger and gradually overwhelmed Kai who became weaker and weaker. His wounds were definitely healing but they healed slower than Fate attacked but Kai's declining power along with four wings was still enough to contend with Fate. Whenever Kai failed to block, his wings would do it for him, when he missed his attack, his wings would attack for him. They moved as if Kai had them all his life.

Blood was spilling out of the corner of Kai's mouth but he kept swallowing the blood as it goes up his throat.

I can only fight for a minute at most...

Kai used all of the mana in his body and launched an attack that stopped Fate for an instant, in that time, Kai's wings moved and pinned Fate to the wall.

"Amelia!"

Without even letting Kai finish, Amelia already appeared in front of him while carrying a long sword made of blood, it was entirely covered in Green Ki but just as it was about to hit, a shadowy figure arrived and blew Amelia away.

"You!"

Kai's eyes were bloodshot and blood was dripping out of several places from his body. The stress on his body was too much and on top of that, the Soul Thief arrived to help at the last moment.

Fate took that opportunity to break free and filled his hand with Green Ki before piercing Kai's chest but luckily, Erina arrived and created two thin spikes of ice from the floor which stopped Fate's hand from moving.

Kai clicked his tongue before using the last of his power to take the pendant from Erina, tap it once and teleport everyone away.

Nobody except Kai knew where they were, it was in what seemed to be a house inside a village.

Of course, nothing changed and none of them were fit for combat. Kai beckoned Umi over and closed his eyes.

"Don't reject the sensation..."

Kai could barely speak out the words. Umi took his instructions seriously and gulped, she wasn't recovered right now but held on because she knew Kai was in worse shape.

"[Transfer]."

Umi felt a twinge of pain as information flew into her brain.

"Don't heal me, heal everyone else. It also provides a calming effect so this may alleviate the aftereffects of the innate ability a bit."

Amelia sighed and helped Kai over to a room.

"Everyone, help yourselves to the nearby houses, half of this village is owned by Kai."

Amelia provided an explanation before closing the door behind them. Erina wanted to follow but that last attack took everything out of her, it took every ounce of willpower she had to move.

"Dear, you're too reckless. I know I told you that you had to be pushed to the brink of death to activate the blood but that was only a chance, what if it didn't work?"

"Then I simply wasn't fated to live."

Kai smiled wryly.

"Well... we have to do that, right?"

Amelia turned red and averted her eyes from Kai's.

"Sheesh, you're only embarrassed when it comes to stuff like this."

Since Kai brought it up, Amelia became meek and flustered to the point that she wanted to bury herself in a hole to hide her embarrassment.

"...Yes, we have to do that."

"I've let you do this to me thousands of times yet you're so reserved when I do it..."

"I-it's different for males and females!"

"...How so? All you've told me is that blood sucking is only done by partners and that to vampires, it's like mating with your partner without impregnation. That's why vampires don't directly suck blood from others, they extract it with magic."

Amelia set Kai down on a bed and loosened her clothing, then she sat on Kai's lap and offered her neck.

"...For females, it's just sex with their loved partner but if the males suck blood, it's making love. I can get pregnant if you do it but we have no choice, there's only a tiny chance and there's actually a bigger chance to get pregnant if we actually do the act but..."

"I see... Don't worry, I told you I didn't want to have kids until I could be strong enough to protect them all but even if it's a few years early, I just have to get stronger faster, easy right?"

Amelia laughed at that.

"Easier said than done."

She had a warm smile on her face as she stroked Kai's cheek.

"You really overexerted yourself this time."

"That I did, that's why you and Erina need to spoil me a lot before I get back to fighting that guy."

"Four hours, that's more than enough time to spoil you rotten."

Releasing his face, Amelia once more offered her neck to Kai. He wrapped his arms around Amelia and slowly bit into her soft neck.

"Mm~"

Concealing her moan from having her neck bit, she became flushed. This was the first time that this ever happened to her, it was understandable that she'd be flustered. To vampires, being seen sucking blood was more embarrassing than being seen having sex in broad daylight.

It took about half a minute but to Amelia, it felt like hours. Letting go of her neck, Kai went up to his ear and whispered softly.

"Thanks for the meal, you were delicious."

"You pervert!"

Amelia who was already flushed became even more embarrassed.

"Haha! The look on your face is so cute it makes me want to eat you up right now but unfortunately, someone's already peeking at the door."

Ignoring Kai's comment, Amelia's eyes widened as she once more sensed Erina waiting outside the door.

"Erina... do you have a hobby of watching others or something?"

Amelia tried to cover up her embarrassment, it was fine in front of Kai but she wanted to act tough in front of others.

"...I just heard a moan and immediately rushed over, I wasn't too injured after all... Everyone already left to heal at some other place and then choose their own houses."

"...You're already healed? I expected Umi to comprehend the technique after about half an hour..."

As expected of the one called Saintess in the future. She actually understood the technique after only five minutes, that was the time that Kai and Amelia had spent inside the room. If Umi could already apply it on Erina who had her neck grabbed without leaving anything signifying an injury, then she was insanely talented.

"Kai, where are we?"

"Hmm... I could tell you immediately but that wouldn't be fun. Just remember, we only have Four hours before we need to return otherwise everyone might get wiped out."

"Would the Immortal really not move for four hours? He wasn't injured or exhausted..."

"Don't worry, I have absolute confidence in that. Now, come over here."

Kai tapped on the bed and gestured for Erina to sit down to which she immediately complied.

"We're going to rest, don't even try and train because it wouldn't do anything."

"?"

Erina was bewildered but did as she was told and began to relax.

"i've already informed Umi of the time and plan earlier so we don't have to worry about the others."

"That's right, we don't have to worry about the others so..."

Amelia closed in on Kai much to the surprise of Erina.

"Time to spoil you rotten."
