Two wings, one dark and one white. They were made of feathers but for some reason, they were insanely tough. Even Kai can't resist against Fate's attack yet those wings managed to withstand it effortlessly.

The wings that covered Kai from the front stretched and blew back Fate. Kai then crouched forward with one arm holding the floor and the other free on the side, both of his wings were prepared to flap and just as they did so, Kai launched forward so fast that even Fate who could see through lightning easily didn't see Kai at all when he punched Fate's stomach.

"Guh... AGHHH!"

Again, Fate was angered. The pain from that attack was unlike the other attacks. He was Immortal, he couldn't be damaged or killed by regular attacks and even Kai's metal arm and leg could only make him feel pain, they weren't truly able to injure him yet the pain he felt was real, his body fell back in a V shape and landed on the wall.

The amount of power behind that one attack was stronger than even his spirit form. But if Kai using his spirit form at SS-class could only handle it for a little amount of time, how long could he control his blood?

But Kai wasn't done with his attack, just a simple punch wasn't enough, Kai once more shot forward and hit Fate's neck with his leg but before he could be sent flying, Kai grabbed Fate's collar and pulled him closer then landed a head-butt. Then, pulling Fate close, he kneed Fate's stomach upwards and when he was about to land, Kai's wings pointed upwards and tried to pierce Fate but without Green Ki, it wouldn't pierce no matter what.

Fate grabbed Kai's wings and pulled at him. Then, Fate launched attack after attack covered with flames but Kai didn't simply have two hands, he also had two wings to accompany defending himself. Although it should be his first time using them, his skill with them was as if they had been part of his body all along.

Enchanted Gear? Those were too weak to fight here. Fate's power only increased further and Kai's power didn't lose but in the end, Kai's power was still above what it should be.

"[Aqua Prison]!"

Fate was suddenly covered in a sphere of water. Kai then raised his arm and chopped down.

"[Rend]!"

Fate created flames to disperse Kai's rend and then began attacking once more. A huge spike made of earth shot out from the floor, Kai was forced to use both his arms to hold it as it kept advancing towards him but just as he did, earth spikes came from all around him.

"GET PIERCED!"

The Immortal had long since been able to do chantless. Dozens of earth spikes with just as much power as the first one forced Kai to cover himself with his wings but even though they were tough, they weren't impenetrable. The wings didn't help Kai much, the spikes pierced through his wings and into his body. Kai quickly became a sorry sight, his wings had spikes in them and blood fell down in a puddle below him.

Fate was sure, Kai's body had been pierced even though he couldn't see it. Even Kai knew that sight wasn't reliable so how couldn't he?

At that moment, Erina arrived along with Amelia to see the sight of Kai pierced all over. This time, it wasn't an illusion.

Arata and the others also quickly arrived to provide support, they were taken aback when they saw the wings but they quickly realized who it was.

"Kai, are you okay?!"

Seeing the puddle of blood under him and Kai's silence, everyone couldn't help but feel worried. Just as they were about to charge forward, Kai's wings disappeared and showed his miserable figure but using wind, Kai cut the spikes just a bit longer than how much there were in his body because if they fell out, Kai would die because of blood loss.

Kai roared and stepped forward, his left arm was covered in dark flame and his right arm was covered in ice that slowly crept upwards.

Despite his injuries, Kai attacked Fate. Fate became cautious of him, the power of the flames and ice in his hands were no joke, those were powers of Gods and Devils. Although Fate can't be killed by powers of divinity wielded by mortals, he could definitely still get hurt.

But even though Kai finally had time to activate these powers of his, it still couldn't change the fact that he was critically injured, a normal person would have long since died. Fate didn't take a single blow from him and kept countering Kai, never mind the fact that Fate was better in terms of skills, even if they were at the same skill level, Fate was still levels ahead of Kai in terms of power and condition.

Kai unleashed his powers to the limits and slammed down on Fate with both Hell Flame and Eternal Frost but before it could hit, Fate punched out a direct hit on Kai's chest and sent shockwaves, an arrow of blood shot out from Kai's mouth and his eyes blanked out.

Kai teetered on the verge of his consciousness as his body limped backwards but he forcefully woke himself up by biting his tongue, slamming his foot forward which curved his body forward and roaring.

But Fate wasn't done there, he changed his hands into a grabbing form and struck Kai's chest.

"NO!"

Erina yelled and immediately used her own Eternal Frost but she was too far, Amelia quickly summoned a cocoon made of blood to cover Kai but unfortunately, Fate was faster.

Piercing through Kai's chest was Fate's arm and in his hand was Kai's heart. Erina could see the truth, this wasn't an illusion. Without wasting a single moment, Fate crushed Kai's heart then pointed his gaze at Erina who suddenly knelt in pain, Amelia quickly covered herself and Erina in blood to prevent his gaze but Arata and the others were too far.

It took just an instant. Everyone fell down on the floor. Date, Kei, and Kazuki banged their heads on the floor. Natsumi and Umi screamed in pain as they gripped their heads as if wanting to pull out their hair. Arata fell down on all fours and Heliana who had the firmest will out of all them still fell down on her knees. The knights she brought along with her screamed and began to run away.

It took just another instant for Amelia to raise another wall of blood to block Fate's gaze on Arata and the others but the damage was done, none of them could battle anymore. Amelia, Erina, and Heliana still had a chance but the others were done for.

"[Ice Pillar]!"

Erina stabbed her rapier onto the floor as her white dress fluttered and summoned a huge pillar of ice heading straight for Fate.

The part heading towards Fate was covered in a thin layer of Green Ki and Eternal Frost and he quickly used flames to block it but just as he did so, a dagger appeared behind him and stabbed into his neck.

"?!"

Fate turned his head and hit Yoko which sent her flying. The dagger was covered in Green Ki but it was far too weak to actually deal some real damage, it only managed to pierce half an inch into the side of his neck.

"[Shadow Claws]!"

Tatsuo once more appeared with blood streaking from the corners of his mouth as he used his hands covered in shadow claws to attack upwards but against Fate, this didn't do anything. Using his gaze, Tatsuo immediately crouched down and rolled around the floor while yelling in pain. Then, Fate kicked him in the chest which once more sent him flying.

"Every last one of you mortals... Trying to resist when it's all futile?! I am getting stronger by the second while you are all getting weaker, just give up and accept your demise!"

Strengthening his gaze, he pierced through the blood cocoon which covered Kai's body and broke it apart.

"This mongrel actually gave me some trouble, he has three types of blood in his system, what kind of mortal body could withstand that? Even so, he still fell in the end, his unsightly corpse is still standing before me but isn't he dead!? You will all follow his example soon!"

Fate pointed his fingers at Kai and a small line of flame pierced through Kai's brain, then he kicked Kai's body which fell to the floor.

"See that?! Your hero is already dead!"

Erina grit her teeth and tears falling from her eyes.

I'm too powerless...! I can't save Kai!

The helplessness attacked her, he did all he could to give them an opportunity yet her power was still lacking. If she had been stronger when it came to Green Ki, Kai would've lived. These were the thoughts going through her head and that was Fate's psychological attack, Erina quickly went from someone who could resist to someone who would be crushed once he gazed at her.

"Erina, stop crying."

Amelia quickly wiped her tears.

"Amelia... Kai is..."

Sniffling, Erina couldn't help but feel guilty when looking at her eyes.

"Don't worry about Kai, I told you before, we'd be in his way if he got close. It's all my fault he became like that but like I said, don't worry. Something like this won't be able to take down Kai."

"...Amelia, he's already..."

Seeing the girl who couldn't accept reality in front of her, Erina felt even more sorrow. Kai's heart was crushed and his brain was pierced through, how would he be able to survive?

Seeing as how Erina was still feeling sorrow, Amelia shook her head with a wry smile and flicked her forehead.

"Erina, everyone, Kai won't be taken down by just this much. After all he's-"

Fate was just about to launch an attack but just as he did so, a hand grabbed his wrist.

"I'm part vampire after all."

Under everyone's eyes, Kai's wounds began smoking and healing at a visible pace.

"Thanks for awakening the blood, now I'm a fourth of a human. I wonder how much power I have now..."

Fate was frozen, Kai's grip was substantially stronger and at some point, there weren't only two wings on his back, there were also two extra bat-like wings behind the feathered wings.

"Well, what better way than to test it? [Limiter Off], [Limit Break], [Blood Rush]."

Turning off his brain's limiter on his body and doubling his already SS-class power and on top of that, adding a vampire's special skill Blood Rush which took a massive amount of blood to temporarily increase double the power. Of course, Blood Rush had a price, vampires could easily regain blood but to use Blood Rush, they had to expend their body's stamina at an insane pace. On top of that, turning off his limiter would potentially injure his body but Limit Break, a move that doubles the user's power in exchange for stamina and mana of varying amounts depending on the strength of the user, Kai was basically doing suicide.

"Now then, how would I fair?"

If Kai with his two wings was at SS-class, in addition to the vampire blood, he stepped into mid SS-class but he removed the limits of his body and became even stronger then doubled and doubled that already strengthened power once more, he stepped into late SS-class but it was still far from Fate.

"Mongrel!"

Fate was about to punch Kai but before he did so, a fist landed on his face which sent him flying through the walls.

"Shut up, I'm tired of hearing your idiotic insults."
