With those two wins, they were allowed to participate in the tournament. Each team actually had the chance to battle three times and if they won two out of three, entry is guaranteed. Although they could enter, their luck was by no means good.

First, there were six people who could only be called giants. None of them could use attributes but their physical strength was overwhelming to the point that even with the boost, they still had to work together.

Then, they even encountered two people who were obviously cheating. One of them was A-class, even Kenji wasn't sure of his actual age but he knew that man wasn't eighteen. The elf earlier was also a lot older than him too, she was at least a hundred years old but Kenji wasn't sure if the elf was only a hundred years old.

It'd be quite a pain for them to participate in the main tournament because they'd definitely become our opponents so I'll just anonymously tip the event handlers.

With that plan, Kenji left some papers on the desks of the right people and had the two removed. He also gave them a letter announcing that he would deal with them later.

In the darkness of the night, there was one figure standing atop a roof of a tall building. In the figure's hands was a black crow. The figure wore a black cloak and his arms were wrapped in bandages.

"Commander."

Suddenly appearing behind the cloaked figure were four more cloaked figures. They were all crouching on the floor and were bowing their heads to the first cloaked figure.

"What's the status?"

The one in the front of the four cloaked figures raised his head.

"Reporting in, we've acquired the schedule for the next few days. We can make a move when the reinforcements arrive but the honorary vice-commander had told us that there are some new circumstances and we'll commence the plan a day early if we get the signal."

The commander sighed and shook his head.

"We are indebted to him greatly and we did promise that we'll offer our services from then on but seriously contacting us only a week before the operation and expecting our reinforcements from the next kingdom to arrive here in that time was already cutting it close but now it's a day earlier, does he not expect the horses to rest?"

The cloaked figure who gave the report then raised his hand.

"A letter had also been given."

"I have a bad feeling about this..."

The commander took the letter and a knife appeared in is hand. He cut the seal on the letter cleanly and began reading with a serious face.

Once he finished reading the letter, he placed it back in the envelope and groaned.

"Seriously, that man is so unreasonable. I'm not sure that him saving us is a boon or bane. Alright, follow his words and send word to the reinforcements to hurry and heal the horses with magic if necessary but they have to arrive in two days and if they're okay with not resting at all then three days."

'You're more unreasonable than him!' were the thoughts of the four cloaked figures but dared not to say it out loud.

""""Yes, sir!""""

The four cloaked figures disappeared as if they were never there in the first place.

"I didn't think that demon slaying would actually have us face a human kingdom's troops..."

With those words, the figure disappeared in the same way as the four that preceded him.

In the dorms, Kenji was on his desk writing a letter when a pair of arms hugged around his neck.

"...Why are you here?"

"Because I wanted to see you, of course~"

"I just said to persist for three weeks yet this is the second time you've snuck into the school, Amelia..."

"Can you remove your disguise for a bit? I want to be with my lover, Kai and not his alter persona, Kenji."

Kenji sighed and in an instant, his red hair and eyes turned black. He removed his glasses and set them on the table, stopping with the letter.

Amelia positioned herself and sat above Kai's lap. She gazed into Kai's eyes at close proximity and placed her forehead against his.

"I know I told you that I'm okay with you getting more lovers but to think that you found one three weeks into school, you're quite sinful..."

Kai kissed her once with a light peck to her lips.

"It's not that I'm planning to make her my lover, it's just that face..."

Amelia wrapped her arms around Kai's head and into her bosom.

"She made the same face as you all those years ago, didn't she?"

"Nn."

Kai placed his hand on Amelia's back and below her legs and carried her in a princess carry towards the bed. He placed her there carefully as if afraid that she would break and positioned himself above her. Amelia wrapped her arms around Kai's head and pulled him close.

"You saved me from that place."

Amelia reminisced and did more light pecks on his lips.

"And you saved me from myself."

Kai had a smile on his face as he let Amelia do what she wanted.

"...I want to save her. I want to save her like you saved me."

Amelia rubbed her finger on the side of Kai's left eye.

"This eye is special. You've trained and trained over the course of these years and this eye helped you a lot."

Amelia removed her hand from the side of his eye and on his left arm.

"This arm is strong, it can defend you against most attacks and it isn't an exaggeration to say it's a strategic weapon."

Then, Amelia placed her hand on Kai's left leg.

"But remember, the most important thing is for you stay alive. You're the only one in this kingdom who can fight that man but you're still young. You're gambling your life just by attempting to face him. I want to fight him with you-"

"No."

"As I thought. I don't get why you're so worried when I'm sure that I have as much as a chance as you and it'll be impossible for him to kill me."

"If I fail and he knows of your existence, he'll stop at nothing to hunt you down. A demon possessed my child self yet ended up with power above A-class, what if it possessed someone who was S-class, what kind of demon would come out? I've already sought help and you only have to stick to the original plan."

"Don't say you'll fail, my power may be sealed but right now, I still have the power of A-class. I can assist you immediately after the ceremony."

Amelia lovingly hugged Kai close and rubbed her face on his.

"Please?"

"...Really can't control yourself for more than two weeks? Well, not like I'm complaining."

The light that had lit the room was turned off by Kai's [Telekinesis] and only their moans could be heard in the room.

"...Kenji, you seem tired."

"It's just your imagination."

Kazuki who was near Kenji began sniffing him.

"...Pervert."

"No! I'm just trying to check why you smell like a girl."

When the other boys heard that and saw Kenji's tired figure, they turned around. The girls who were present, Haru, Yoko, and Umi flushed red. Erina had still not arrived yet.

"You know Kenji, I know you're an adult already but don't overindulge in women just for celebration..."

"Want to die?"

Kazuki was the only one who was talking to Kenji at that point.

"Ah, Miss Erina."

Arata noticed Erina who had just arrived.

"...What is this scene?"

When Erina saw the girls who were flushed and the boys who were avoiding the two behind them, she was bewildered.

"It's just that Kenji had some fun last night."

"Fun?"

Erina raised her brow in curiosity but when Haru covered Kazuki's mouth immediately after that, she decided not to pry any further. When she passed by Kenji, she paused and looked at him.

"...Philanderer."

"Oi."

Erina's insult caused Kenji to narrow his eyes. After their group began walking, the boys gathered around Kenji and whispered amongst themselves.

"Was it an older woman?"

"Red-light district?"

"I didn't think you were that active. You did it immediately after the preliminaries. I know we're excused from school, but still..."

Kazuki, Kei, and Arata talked respectively.

Kenji could've just told them the truth that his lover had visited him and the night ended that way but that would actually cost more trouble since it means an unknown person had snuck into the dorms at night which were strictly guarded. If he had said that he did go to the red-light district, then he would be in trouble from sneaking out at night without permission. That's why he chose the best option in this case, silence.

"He affirmed to us with silence. I've had my fair share of women but to think that I actually had a comrade in this group."

Kazuki pat Kenji's shoulder and Kenji gripped his hand so tight that everyone could hear crunching sounds and stopped their questioning.
