Connected Chapters part 002 second Half Dark Base
Nathan looked around his cell, which was a concealed cement room, with a stone flat surface, cut into the side wall to lay on, no pillows or blankets for comfort.
But Nathan found solace In the fact it was no different than any of the drunk tanks he was locked up in before. Nathan turned, looking at the large steel framed door, and entered two larger reptilian guards, wearing black combat fatigues, they approached Nathan with small clubs and started to attack Nathan. Nathan fought back and threw a strong right punch to the jaw of one of the reptilians but the reptilian's chin strap was enough to absorb some of the punch which still kinda staggered the Reptilian.
Nathan was clubbed by the other Reptilian at the back of the head and Nathan went down.
The two reptilians kept beating Nathan everytime he moved. Till Nathan couldn't move any more.
Bloodied and battered the reptilians dragged Nathan out of his holding cell,
Down through the Dark Halls.
Along the path Nathan opened one eye to see the other abducted man beaten, bleeding and in the same bloodied state, being dragged along down the dark halls. The man was a white male, frail but looked like he had seen some tough times.
Looking forward Nathan could see finally through the darkness, there was a blue light at the end of the tunnel, the hallway came to an entrance that opened to a large stone cut room, in the middle of this large stone room, were two ancient pillars with markings, Nathan didn't recognize any and knew nothing about them. But Nathan was drawn to the pillars.
"Stand them up! before the portal."
The reptilian lady walked up to Nathan,
Eyeing him from his feet to his head.

"Where you're going I need you to learn as much as you can about your ancient past and bring it back to me, if the information is what I need, we might actually find use for you."
"What! why would I ever fuckin help you,
You fucking….ahh!"
Nathan was hit in the back again by one of the guards keeping him on his knees, at bay.
"Cause if you don't we will just activate the little chip that's been implanted into your skull to explode."
The Reptilian Woman walks over to Henry.
"My, my, dear, what have they done to you, looks like you got a broken arm."
Henry is in so much pain he just sits there with a twitching arm. Blood dripped from his lips onto the floor.
"Very well, Henry, I need you to investigate your ancient heritage as well. When the timer goes off, it doesn't matter where You are, we will pull you back from that time through this portal."
The guards stand up the two captured males and push them forward towards the glowing portal.
"Activate time warp, activating the DNA Time Strand, activating the ancient Mesopotamia tablets." Droid 63 Called out
The portal flashed neon blue to dark blue.
The emergency horns were ringing, signaling the portal was at full functionality.
"First subject up for travel, Hank" The Reptilian woman commands.
The guards push Hank into the portal. And the portal spirals and closes behind him as Hank passes through. After intense horns and lights flashed along the portal's surge of energy.
The horns stop, then the lights return to normal.
Droid 63 speaks over the intercom.
"Subject Hank, has passed through but something happened, his chip reading has failed, and Hank is no longer reading any life signals, maybe Hank died on teleportation?"

The Reptilian woman looked displeased "well, maybe the surgery wasn't done properly, or he died, for whatever the case is hank, is now gone or dead somewhere, in the riff of spacetime reality." The Reptilian woman laughed, "Hank was a nobody, nothing to worry ourselves over, good first test! Now let's hope this one works the right way."
Nathan shook his head, as the guards stood him up by his arms, they dragged him up to the portal.
Droid 63 announced.
"Portal ready for time teleportation,in 30 seconds."
Nathan watched the portal start up and the blue neon esoteric lights swirled and changed from lighter to dark, then back to light blue again.
Droid 63 notified the Reptilians,
" DNA added to the portal, it is ready for Nathan's travel."
The guards, Then lifted Nathan and started to walk with him, the one Reptilian guard On his left push kicked Nathan into the Portal.
Nathan was launched into the blue swirls of ethereal energy.
Nathan watched the energy engulf him, Nathan was somewhere in between the fabric of spacetime the warp of time was all sorts of colours as Nathan was gravitating towards the other side till he finally saw a bright light at the end of the tunnel.

Blood Seekers -- The Monolith
Blood Seekers - Book 1, is now on Amazon, including the final chapters not posted here! https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B07MYJ5ZRC “You will die!” That's what the developers of Blood Seekers promised them... The most challenging MMO ever created—that’s how they advertised it. Taglines like, “Not your granddaddy’s game,” and, “Only for the hardest of the hardcore,” had gamers going crazy. Set in a gothic, Lovecraftian world, with fully realized A.I. NPCS, gamers were desperate to get their hands on the new game and dive in, and Clay was one of them. It was going to be tough, but he was ready for it. What he wasn’t ready for, was countless players having their minds hijacked and being transformed into mindless, hostile creatures filled with nothing but hate who killed anyone on sight. They called them the Bloodless. Clay’s best and only friend, Rey, moved across the country she was twelve, but they kept in touch online, playing countless games together, and when Blood Seekers was released, they were both ready to step up to the plate and face the new challenge together. But now, Rey has been taken by the plague, her mind held hostage as one of the Bloodless. A mysterious black monolith has appeared at the center of the highest level zone in the game, a place no one has even come close to. Some say it will provide us with answers. Others say it will only lead to more questions. Who’s behind all this? Why are people’s minds being taken? Will we ever get to bring them back? How many more will be lost if we stay logged in? Nothing is certain, but if there’s any chance that reaching the monolith will bring Rey back back, then Clay will do everything he can to reach it. This is Book 1 in a new series from Stephen Roark! I will be posting chapters here until the book is done and published on Amazon!
