Chapter 27 - "Death to the king!"

"Like I already said! It's not like that!" (Shun)

We were continuing our advance and I was currently carrying the unconscious Edea on my shoulder. But my wives and little sister were quite angry with me right now for some reason.

"Thou say that my lord, but thou did felt aroused when thou saw her." (Setsuna)

"Umumumumu, I know I'm kinda at fault to have freed the beast in you but you're really full of lust dear. Even though me and Setsuna keep trying to suck you dry..." (Mysty)

OH GOD! Please Setsuna, Mysty not in front of my little sister!

I really would want to hide if I could right now...

"So you did pick her up with that intent!" (Eva)

Strangely it seem she ignored what Mysty said, but still glared at me with hurtful eyes.

"I swear it's not like that! It's just that I want her to teach me how to use some weapons and also serve me as a spy."

The rest of the group who was walking behind us, this time close enough to listen to our conversation was looking at me with eyes full of doubts while staying silent.

Goddammit that's some nasty hobby you guys have!

"I don't believe you in the least, you're not really credible after two-timing Mysty." (Eva)

Mmm? That's strange, it look like she somehow acknowledged Mysty for some reason, also polygamy isn't a crime in this world so she have no reason to blame me to begin with!

This world, or at least this kingdom, is pretty free when it come to love, even female virginity isn't considered as something important, if she wanted to, even Sarius could have played around before getting married and not got in trouble as long as she didn't fell pregnant.

"I can't really do anything about that... Falling in love with cursed blades at first sight is something like a 'sickness' I have... But I'm not the kind of man to sleep around with girls I don't love!" (Shun)

"Then why were you aroused when you saw that girl?!" (Eva)

GAAAAA THE SHAME! OH GOD! PLEASE LET ME KILL MYSELF!

Eva and my wives strangely smiled at that declaration coming from the heart and made a 'Ooohhh' sound as if it explained something they didn't understood until now. And behind me I could heard Sarius and company whispering and giggling among themselves.

My image is ruined isn't it? Guess I should eat someone alive to correct that...

*Manly tear*

"Mmm, how to say that... Everyone have his own taste you know... Nobody will judge you... Uh... Sorry..." (Thomason)

Thomason patted my shoulder trying to comfort me...

You did try, but did a goddamn bad job at it!

I'm really not accustomed to shame yet... I said yet because it wasn't the first time and knowing Mysty and Setsuna it won't be the last. And to top it off I'm still only in my underwear, normally I wouldn't care even if I was in the nude, but when you go screaming around about your own fetish in your underwear, you become kinda conscious of it... Just how pitiful one can be...

Goddamn you Mysty, Setsuna! I swear that the next time we're doing it, I'm going to bang you until the two of you falls unconscious for that!

Dammit! Why does It feel like I would give them just what they want!

"Look!" (Sarius)

Suddenly Sarius pointed a finger to the front showing us stairs that was going up, it seem we finally reached the castle secret entrance.

"Phew! Finally! I'm too old for this shit, we walked for more than a day!" (Arllan)

"Well I just hope we won't have to turn back." (Eva)

Everyone looked at Eva in shock apart from me who already thought of it.

"Don't look at her like that, if we were ambushed in this tunnel it's quite obvious the king know about it no? If I were in his shoes I would block the entrance to my castle, destroying the invaders plan all together..." (Shun)

Seriously are they all stupid or what?

"You must be kidding me! What are we going to do if it's true?!" (Sarius)

"Don't worry about it, it will all work out in the end." (Shun)

We walked to the bottom of the stairs and tried to open it by pulling on a lever that was near it as instructed by Arllan.

*Kkkkk*

"It's not opening is it?" (Thomason)

After making a short mechanic sound, the wall that was as the top of the stairs making it look like a dead-end didn't shown any sign of moving...

"Guess we will have to depend on your plan Shun. What should we do?" (Sarius)

Since I already told them it will all work out, nobody fell in despair from that and waited for me to explain to them my brilliant plan...

"Plan? I don't have one.(Shun)

"""What?!""" (Sarius, Arllan & Co)

"I never said I did, well if nothing work out I can blast everything away myself but first why don't we let Algurd take care of it?" (Shun)

Algurd gave a jolt of surprise when she heard her name.

"M-Me?!" (Algurd)

"What with the reaction? Yes you! Isn't mining your specialty? So now use your magic and make a hole in this goddamn wall!" (Shun)

Seriously can't they think for themselves?

"Bu-But! Didn't you said you could blow everything away?! Why don't you fucking do it?!" (Algurd)

"*Sigh* Sure I do it... If you're not afraid that the whole castle fall on our head in the process..." (Shun)

"I do it! Please let me do it!" (Algurd)

Took you long enough!

Now eager to do it so we won't have to use our last resort, 'me'. Algurd gone up the stairs and begun an aria.

"In my name, elemental of earth, do my binding and carve my way in your own body, Manhole!" (Algurd)

Manhole?! What the hell kind of name is that for a spell?!

*RrrRrrRrrrr*

As Algurd finished her chant, you could heard a strange small sound coming from the wall in front of her, but it soon disappeared as a bright light suddenly reflected itself on the wall.

"Uhhh... I'm sorry, it seem their is a fucking barrier against magic of King rank cast on it..." (Algurd)

"King rank barrier?! How is that possible?! Only a King-priest can cast something like that! And we don't have anything like that in this country since centuries!" (Sarius)

A King-priest uh? Priest are magician adept of the rare light and healing magic, their numbers can be counted on your two hands fingers as for the King-priest, it's a mage who is able to cast both light and healing spell of the 'King rank' or higher. My knowledge in magic is not much, but as I wanted to have at least some knowledge of it because of my sister, I at least have some common-sense about it. Like the ranking system or how magic work, magic don't only consist of an aria, if it were that simple anyone with magic would be a Divine-mage, no you also need to weave sygils with elemental mana as you chant the spell and only someone with high mental capability is capable of that. The ranking is separated by the sygils complexity, in order from weakest to strongest the rank are, Common -> Low -> Medium -> High -> King -> Demon -> Divine.

If we take Elivera for example she would be a High-mage, as her strongest spell 'Tempest howling' is a High rank one, said like that it don't look like much but it seem that the quality of mages became weaker in the last millennium, and right now a High-mage is something of the highest grade in this world, the only King-mages alive right now are Magicalkins on the west continent, and they're no more than 3 individuals...

Also an interesting fact about magic of King rank and higher is that they are something close to a summoning, unlike other spells where you use your one mana or the one surrounding you to directly attack, for spell of King rank and higher you use Spirits and Demons from other world as proxy by feeding them your mana.

But back to our situation, we're in deep shit if there's such a strong barrier as only a King ranked mage would be able to destroy it...

"That barrier must have been made at the time this passage was build so it's not that surprising, but still I didn't think of that, I guess I will have to act..." (Shun)

"Wait! I do it!" (Eva)

Uh?

"Eva? Didn't you heard? It's a King rank barrier on this wall you won't be able to destroy it with magic you know?" (Shun)

"Yes I know that already! But if I were to use a King spell on it, it would break no?" (Eva)

"What?" (Shun)

"LIKE I SAID! I just have to use King ranked magic on it, no?!" (Eva)

"... You can do it?" (Shun)

Everyone waved their hand in the air as if they were telling me not to say something this stupid.

"Sure I do." (Eva)

"""""WHAT?!"""""

"Well~ I can't use it the normal way but I found a way to weave a spell a rank higher than me using my blessing." (Eva)

Wait that mean she's an actual High mage?! But that's not important right now, a human King ranked mage, like a King-priest wasn't heard of since centuries ago, and everyone of them have their names in story book! No matter how she do it if she can actually use a King class magic it would be something really unbelievable!

"... Fine, show it to me Eva!" (Shun)

"Yup!" (Eva)

Grinning as the thought of getting my acknowledgment Eva walked up the stairs crossing path with Algurd who was going down while looking at the little girl wide eyed unable to believe what she said.

"Wait you really believe her?!" (Sarius)

"Of course I do, if she said she can do it, then she can. Are calling my little sister a liar? Uh?!" (Shun)

"Please calm down boy, prince! We will soon know if what she said is true, but if that the case that would be ridiculous... Well since she's Shun sister I can weirdly believe it." (Arllan)

Mysty and Setsuna looked at us arguing while making a strange face. Most likely because at their time a King magician wasn't something that rare...

"In my name, elemental of water, do my binding and become the wave that will wash away those who dare face me, Aqua wave!" (Eva)

As we were talking among ourselves Eva started to chant the aria of a medium spell.

A huge amount of water sprout out of her opened hands, but unlike one would expect as the water quitted her hand it didn't crash to the floor but floated into the air and was slowly surrounding her, making a giant bubble of water.

"In-Incredible!" (Algurd)

"Oh? That's an interesting way to use magic..." (Setsuna)

Algurd and Setsuna who was the only ones of us who could see the flow of mana, shown amazement as they were looking at Eva magic.

I was myself pretty impressed with her as she was most likely using force magic to manipulate the water she summoned, but still to control it this perfectly and most of all being able to move such a mass of water, her force magic clearly improved much more than I first thought.

"In my name, Spirit King of water you who reign other the sea and devour all those would dare to go against your law, feed upon my offering and answer my call, prove that your are the almighty king of water and crush everything in your path, Leviathan!"

Even though she was still in water we were able to hear her next aria. And as she finished to chant it, a giant magic circle appeared in front of her sucking the water that was surrounding her and started to glow in a bright light.

*RROAAARRRR*

A monstrous roar loud enough to force us to protect our ears with our hands, was suddenly heard as the giant head of a Snake-Dragon like creature made of water got out of the magic circle, before launching itself against the wall destroying it and continuing it's charge even after that, his body infinitely long continuously getting out of the circle.

*RRRUUUMBBBLLEEEE*

Only a whole minute after it started getting out, we were able to saw the fin that was at the end of it's body, but as soon as the said fin detached itself from the circle, the beast who was most likely showing itself in the sky of the capital until now disappeared suddenly.

That was... Incredible to say the least... The castle isn't going to fall on our head is it? Also, now I'm pretty sure the whole city know we're here. Oh well the king already know everything about our plan so there no use trying to be discreet anymore.

"Im-Impossible..." (Sarius)

"How do you like that?!" (Eva)

Eva jumped down the stairs while skipping before leaping into my arms, everyone looked at her with their eyes and mouth wide open in shock.

"Yeah that was incredible Eva, I'm really proud of.. *Gu*?!" (Shun)

Out of nowhere Eva just inserted her tongue in my mouth to play with mine skillfully, yeah she french kissed me...

"Ahhhh! You bitch!" (Mysty)

"... I really want to slash her right now..." (Setsuna)

"*Smack* Ahhh, Ahhh, don't look at me like that~, I just took my well deserved reward~." (Eva)

After she finished kissing me still panting wildly she jumped down from my arms while smiling from ear to ear like a mischievous kid who succeeded in her prank, leaving me frozen in shock.

What the hell did just happen... Why the hell is everyone looking at me like that?

"Dear?... Look his mind blanked out from shock you bitch!...... Need to mark him again!" (Mysty)

As if it wasn't enough, now Mysty was the one to attack me out of nowhere... And god.. She sure is as skilled as ever.

No time for that!

"WILL YOU STOP ALREADY?!" (Shun)

"*Sigh* Look, now thou made him angry sister Mystyval..." (Setsuna)

"Umumumu! It's not my fault! It's that little whore who attacked him first!" (Mysty)

"Ufufufufu, now he's going to be conscious of me as a woman, but it's only the first step!" (Eva)

"Enough! I'm really angry at you right now Eva! But we don't have time to speak of that! Let's rush in while the enemy is confused! Arllan take care of her!" (Shun)

While saying that I handed the still unconscious Edea to Arllan and took by force Mysty hand who pissed me off while glaring at her waiting for her to change form, but her reaction wasn't really the one I expected...

"Ahhhh! Please don't look at me like that while being this forceful dear! I'm going to turn into Setsuna!" (Mysty)

"Stop playing around already and change form!" (Shun)

What a mess...

With a cheerful 'Okaaay~!' she finally changed form and I ran up the stairs wanting to go ahead and pass my nerves on the first unfortunate soul who would cross my path. And as I passed through the destroyed dusty room that was behind the now broken wall, I saw a huge hole in the wall opposed to the one who was hiding the secret passage, showing a beautiful view of the city, it seem the castle was on a hill in the middle of the city as we were more elevated than the rest while being on the first floor.

There no time to enjoy the goddamn view! Where is the enemies?!

I continued to charge into the castle until I finally find ten guards who were in panics still not understanding what was happening.

Good! Now die!

As I ran to them brandishing Mysty they...

"""We surrender! Please don't kill us!""" (Guards)

dropped their weapons before kneeling on the floor giving their total surrender in total synchronicity...

"...... What the fuck?! We're invading the castle here you know?!" (Shun)

Not really understanding where was the problem the guards looked at me in confusion.

"Uh... Sir? We REALLY don't want to fight you either way... I mean we don't want to die for that dumb king you know? Since you're already here it mean you have already defeated all the champions who was after you so as soon as you were able to enter the castle, you already won... Sir..." (Random guard)

...

He actually have a good point... I mean they aren't total fools, if we were able to kill the champions those poor weakass guards don't stand a chance against us... Well it was actually all me but whatever...

Don't even feel like killing them anymore, let's just go torture and kill the goddamn king already...

"Fine... Can you tell me where to find the king?" (Shun)

"Of course sir!" (Random guard)

Why the hell are you smiling at me?! Is that admiration I see in your eyes?! No seriously that's creepy!

After being given instruction to find the throne room where the king was most of the time by a guard who was strangely eager to help me. The others finally caught up with me and we all ran to the throne room after instructing Thomason men and the guards who were now totally on our side to split themselves and guard every exit so the King wouldn't be able to escape.

And as we reached the door to the throne room I kicked it open and we all rushed in, and there was the fool, still sitting on his throne looking strangely calm and was even smiling.

"Here we are little shit, I hope your ready to be tortured to death?" (Shun)

My threat didn't afraid him in the least, on the contrary, he just made an even bigger evil smirk than before.

"AhahAHAHAHAH! You're the one who need to be ready! I didn't want to use 'that' but your forcing my hand here you fools!" (Henry)

Proclaiming that he took out of his pocket a black crystal from whom was oozing out a strange dark mist... That felt familiar for some reason...

"Stop resisting Henry! You're going to die either way so just stop your useless struggle!" (Sarius)

"Wait! That stone?! It contain a cursed blade curse my lord!" (Setsuna)

"What?!" (Shun)

No wonder it felt familiar...

"Ahahahah! Behold the power that was given to me by the Overlord himself!" (Henry)

Overlord... Really? Are you retarded?!

"Overlord?! Impossible! He was killed a millennium ago you idiot!" (Arllan)

Oh I forgot we're in that kind of world... But...

"Hey retarded king... Is that 'Overlord' the one who ordered you to mess with my family?" (Shun)

"What?! What are you talking about big brother?" (Eva)

Everyone looked at me shocked not understanding how I came to this conclusion, but there was this bad feeling that I couldn't get out of my mind, the illogical action the King took sometime, what he said about me being on his path to world domination and the fact that only my family was targeted. Me and Eva are far from being the only champions who are still kids, then why didn't he try to capture the others ones? If he gone this far I don't see anything that would stop him...

"That's right." (Henry)

"""What?!""" (Pretty much everyone but Shun)

"I don't know why but he seem to despise you more than anything. He only asked me to give you as much pain and despair as I could, and in exchange he would help me to conquer this world! This world, YeS ThiS WoRlLD~!" (Henry)

What the? There something wrong this guy...

"Mmm? He's already pretty much cursed isn't he?" (Mysty)

"Yes, myself is surprised even thou were able to see that... It seem he was already cursed by the same curse that stone hold, but if he were to take head on the whole curse that is sealed in that, he would most likely die." (Setsuna)

Wait wait wait! Don't joke around! That guy my only lead to the real bastard who was the one behind my family murder!

"BEHOLD!" (Henry)

*Crash*

And of course that bastard had to broke the black crystal to the floor with that timing.

The dense dark mist that was sealed in it surrounded the king and slowly disappeared as if it was being absorbed by him.

Shit!

"Ahahahahah! Look at this beautiful form! You're all going to die now!" (Henry)

There was no change you retard... But it's true he felt strangely stronger than before, does curses have the power to strengthen the one under them? That would explain why I'm stronger when I wield Mysty or get cursed by Setsuna.

"What are you talking about Henry?! Did you lose you're mind?! Nothing hapenned!" (Sarius)

"Ahahah! Don't joke around! Look! I look like a demon of legend, my arms are cov...* Blurgh*... Uhhh... What?!" (Henry)

He started to vomit blood all of a sudden, and wounds started to appear on his whole body.

"Hey! Don't die like that you bastard! What was the name of the bastard Overlord?!" (Shun)

I ran and grabbed him by his collar as he was falling down.

"*Urgh*... P... *Blurgh*... Patri......" (Henry)

"Patri?! Patri what?! Answer me you little shit!" (Shun)

Even as I shook him around he didn't answer me back anymore... He was dead...

"What the hell just happened?" (Sarius)

"... I don't want to believe that, but it seem the first prince was manipulated by someone..." (Arllan)

"If that true then we really can't call that a victory..." (Thomason)

*KKKRRRRRrrr*

"GODDAMN IT!!!" (Shun)

*BAMMM**BAMMM**BAMMM**BAMMM**BAMMM**BAMMM**BAMMM*

Unable to hold my anger any longer I started to punch the fool king body transforming him into mincemeat and destroying the floor under him.

"Goddamn you!*BAMMM* How dare you die like that?!*BAMMM* What am I going to do with my rage now?!*BAMMM*" (Shun)

Emitting a crazy amount of blood-lust while continuing to slam my fists against what was now no more than meat and blood, my little sister approached me not showing any sign of fear and slapped me hard, hurting her hand more than I was hurt, but it was shocking non-less.

"Will you stop that already?! That's disgraceful! My brother isn't one to lose his mind to something like that!" (Eva)

...... She's right... I'm being childish here, it's not like destroying an empty shell going to change anything...

"You're right, forgive me... I kinda lose myself here... Give me some time alone to think will you?" (Shun)

"Dear...""My lord..." (Mysty & Setsuna)

Not saying a word I left this goddamn room and wandered like a ghost inside the castle until finally reaching a giant garden, not giving a crap about the beauty of the colorful flowers and trees who was neatly arranged in it, I just sat on a bench heaving a sigh.

"*Sigh* What a mess..." (Shun)

Now what? The king died before I could even kill him myself and I learned that he was only someone else puppet. Is the one manipulating me in the dark and the Overlord the same guy? Why would that guy hold a grudge against me? Right now there a lot of people who most likely hate me, but at the time I didn't even made one enemy, apart from Eva friend back home.

"Patri uh?... Patricia? What else can I think of... Oh yes, Pat..." (Shun)

Wait a minute! No, it can't be, that would be ridiculous... But I can't really think of any other name starting with Patri and that could hold a grudge against me.

...

"Ahh! Whatever it's just not possible!" (Shun)

Let's forget about that for now, there also the thing with the crystal containing a cursed blade curse. Apart from the one I only guessed being on the north continent the other are still on the west and east continent. Did the Overlord win over one of them? No I don't think so, the curse was too heavy and full of madness, the blade who produced it is most likely still cursed by the guardian she's sealing. What was the power of her curse anyway? Giving hallucination? That seem likely from Henry reaction... But how did the Overlord gathered it into a crystal and most of all, controlled it to manipulate the first prince?

"... Argh! Goddammit! The more I think the more questions pop-up in my head!" (Shun)

All I can do is wait for this bastard to show up again?!

"Big brother?" (Eva)

Suddenly Eva shown up out of nowhere.

"... What is it Eva?" (Shun)

"Sorry I know you wanted to be alone but three hours already passed since you left the throne room, and even if I don't really care about them Mysty and Setsuna look really depressed." (Eva)

"Oh... Sorry about that, I'm coming, not like I obtain any answers to my questions while grumbling to myself here." (Shun)

"About that, it's just my thought but wouldn't the gods know something about that 'Overlord'?" (Eva)

... Right! There was that too!

"Good job Eva I had already forgot about those fools!" (Shun)

I patted Eva head as I got back into a good mood from finally having a lead.

Guess I try and talk to that Goddamn Goddess...
