Chapter 12 - "Setsuna the blind slasher"

At the end of the stairs we could see light coming from the room ahead, as I entered the room I had to close my eyes a little for letting them get accustomed to it. When I was finally able to open them, all I could see was a room like any other in this labyrinth the only change was the glowing green seal on the floor and the sword floating at the middle of it.

"As expected of her 'Japanese' sounding name she's a katana huh?" (Shun)

Even though I couldn't see the blade she was beautiful non less, even if a little strange, the handle with no guard was in a white-greenish color and the scabbard that was holding the blade looked like made of chains... here come that feeling again...

As I was talking to myself a girl suddenly appeared.

"Thee, have thou come in search of power?" (Setsuna)

She was a beautiful young girl who looked around 16 years old and a little taller than myself at around 5,7ft, she had her hair hold in a long ponytail with a white-greenish color the same as her handle, she was wearing a Japanese hakama and kimono with a flower pattern who seemed to tight for her body and was showing all the modest curves of her thin body, but she was also wearing a leather eye-mask with a bondage like design who looked completely out of place.

And of course seeing her and also her blade form made me fall in love with her at first sight. Do I fall in love with them this easily because I'm a cursed swordsman, or am I a cursed swordsman because of my abnormal love of blades and most of all cursed blades. Seeing my dedication to blade when I was Rick, it seem to point to the latter... And wait now that I think about it isn't it strange that she wear a Japanese outfit, have a Japanese name and a have the form of a katana? Neither existed 3000 years ago! Since it was a god who made them I guess she took them from an alternate world who already had them at the time?

Suddenly as I was devouring her with my eyes, Mysty changed into her human form.

"We're not here to hear your sale pitch Setsuna..." (Mysty)

"Could it be?! This voice and presence could thou be sister Mystyval?! How are thou able to change into thy human form, also who is that aura beside thou? He have one alike those of us sisters but is clearly not one of us." (Setsuna)

So it confirm my thought, I'm really not human anymore...

"Yes! It's our husband! But he's human you must misunderstand...(Mysty)

"Husband?! Thou must be joking with myself, by husband do thou mean the sacrifice offered to us by mother? Why would thou even call one of them like that?" (Setsuna)

Sacrifice uh... I guess she not really that wrong since not even one cursed swordsman lived to tell the tale after touching them...

"Mmumumumumu! Dear is not like those fools! He's the true one! He even freed my human soul from the monster curse!"(Mysty)

"Oh... So it his why thou are able to change into thy human form... Then let him prove himself to myself."(Setsuna)

"You bet he gonna prove himself to you! Dear go beat this annoying bitch!" (Mysty)

What am I? A Pokemon?! Anyway let's just do this, I really want to finish here, escape this damn place and sleep in a bed...

I approached the blade and touched it.

And here I was once again in this blank world, it seem we are not in my mind but hers as I don't see my second soul anywhere. That's kinda weird to say that huh?

"Oh? Thou seem strangely calm? is it because thou are confident in yourself? Or something else?" (Setsuna)

What appeared with the voice was something who looked like a giant white-greenish dragonfly who had no eyes , and a goddamn good hundred of tentacles with blade at the their end, on it's side who also served as legs...

"Mmm? No it's just that it's the third time something like that happened or wait maybe it's the fourth?" (Shun)

"Ohohohoh, thou are interesting, myself hope thou are strong enough to cut myself to pieces! It was a long time that myself received damage in a soul battle!" (Setsuna)

But seriously how am I gonna defeat this thing? I know that I can change my strength by using my blood lust and also influence the room with it, but is it gonna be enough for that? I guess we won't know until we try.

But seriously she have some strange speaking habit...

"Now! Let's cut at each others!" (Setsuna)

After those word she launched at me her absurd numbers of blade tentacles, belief and the power of thought is what give strength, I started to release blood lust while thinking 'I can parry those blade', and as this army came to me I parried them as they come one by one, my little size was a huge advantage here as she couldn't attack with all hers tentacle as to not get them tangled or hurt them.. As she 'seen' me parry her blade with my naked hands and the amount of blood lust I was giving she raised a voice of wonder.

"Oh! Impressive! Like sister Mystyval said thou are not like the other! It's a wonder something whom call himself a human can emit that much blood lust and have such a powerful soul! But it is weird, thou seem to be incomplete? Like the soul thou are showing myself is missing something? Anyway even if thou are truly strong it won't be enough in face of myself." (Setsuna)

As she said that she attacked with more strength and speed and was starting to change the room around her tainting it in her color. She's clearly stronger than Mystyval in mental battle... But as I was still parrying the blades suddenly one of them passed through my guard and slashed at my stomach making a scratch, but when it did my view suddenly became black.

Seem like she needed to cut me to activate her curse unlike Mysty whom just needed to came in contact with me. But since I was prepared for it, it didn't change anything, I continued to parry the same as before, but I was in a dead lock and I could feel she was getting stronger by the second, I guess the more she taint this room her color, the more she tainting my own mind and gain domination on it, that why I was able to block Mysty this easily when I completely tainted the room my color at the time, guess I need to enter the war now...

While continuing parrying I started to emit even more blood lust to the maximum I could, and I rapidly sensed that her attack were getting weaker, but it's not enough, her mental power and insanity are even higher than myself, I guess Mysty who is stupid, or should I say naive, is badly adapted to mental battle... Shit it's don't look good she regaining lost terrain I need more belief or it won't end well. Think...

I need to win so I can save my kidnapped family, I need to win to not leave Mysty alone, I need to win to see more cursed blades, I need to win... AAAaahhh enough! That's not my style! Even if I really think like that, in that battle that not the kind of emotion I need to show.

DIE! I EAT YOU! I RIP YOU APART! I WILL CUT YOU IN DICE! I WILL SMASH YOU IN PIECE! DIE!DIE!DIIEEEEEE!

Blood lust started to go in crazy flow out of me.

Now that's more like it.

"Wha...?! WHAT IS THIS?! How can someone have this much ill will and blood lust! But don't get thou hope up in the end even if thou gain this much domination thou won't be able to win!" (Setsuna)

She's right about me still struggling with her tentacles, even if they aren't as strong as before, since she's not losing in speed. That is quite normal since now that she was weaker her tentacles were slower sure, but that just mean she can attack with more of them since she's less afraid to hits or tangles them.

But my win is already assured now that I have domination on this room my belief hold more power, all I need to do is to us her own power that I now hold, against her and order the room who is also her mind.

"CUT HER APART!!!" (Shun)

As it obeyed my order ten giant blades the size of her body started to grew from the floor around her like if a giant mouth was devouring her. And fells on her cutting her one by one making part of her body fly around.

"AMAZING! HOW BEAUTIFUL! WHAT JOY! MYSELF IS IN LOVE!" (Setsuna)

... I'm kinda happy she said that but the situation is kinda... Sick?

"AAaaaAahhhHHHhh" (Setsuna)

In what was a mix of a moan and a dying cry, her monster form finally died, and like with Mysty her monster body started to glow and disassemble in little particles of light who were grouping into a big one above my head, and she then fallen into my arm in her human form, I caught her in a princess hold. Since she was nude and without her eyes mask I was able to see her eyes who were cloudy with a color alike her hairs, I guessed cursed blades eyes and hairs colors are the same unique color of there monster origin.

"Thou truly are amazing... Like promised, myself shall become thine. Please take care of me, my lord."

As she said that she kissed me tenderly. And my mind blanked.

And I now was back into my body and was now wielding Setsuna by her handle, impatient to see the blade whom was hidden by the scabbard I drew her and inspected it with eyes of wonder, the blade was the same color as the handle and was really thin, seeing it for the first time I could hear my heart beating like crazy, totally love-struck. But it seem the curse don't activate simply when I touch her, I guess that like when I was fighting her, I need to cut myself to get cursed and use the second effect, I wonder what it be?

"Mmumumumumu! Are you going to stop looking at her like that in front of your first wife?!" (Mysty)

Oops, I completely forgot about Mysty being here... Satisfied I sheathed her back in her scabbard.

"You can turn into your human form, sorry to have make you wait." (Shun)

Setsuna turned into her human form and looked exactly like she looked like while being a projection.

"Do not worry my lord, myself is quite happy to see thou are pleased with myself." (Setsuna)

"Ah yes you are quite the fine blade, with you I should be able to use one of my favorite stance, that also mean I won't have to use Mysty as much as before." (Shun)

"WHAT?! Why?! Are you going to throw me away for this wore! I don't want that dear!" Said Mysty while sobbing

"Calm down! I won't throw you away and neither I want to! What I mean is that at least you can share your work with Setsuna and pass more time in your human form." (Shun)

"*Phew* Sorry, I thought you didn't want me anymore for a moment..." (Mysty)

"Of course not you idiot! Even if your a crazy sword I still love you... You dumbass don't force me to say thing this embarrassing!" (Shun)

"Hehehehe!" (Mysty)

Good thing she is simple minded...

"Good thing sister Mystyval is simple minded, uh my lord?" (Setsuna)

Hopefully she said that in a whisper and Mysty who were dancing in joy didn't heard that...

"But still, myself is quite jealous of how much thou hold dear, sister Mystyval..." (Setsuna)

"Hehehe!Since he didn't even become one with you, you are bellow me in wife rank!" (Mysty)

Wife rank? Seriously?

"Hmpf! It's only a matter of time before myself become the favorite of my lord, myself is much more gracious than thy barbarous self after all." (Setsuna)

"Stop fighting please... Setsuna is there some way to escape this damn dungeon quickly?" (Shun)

"Ah, yes my lord, there is teleportation circle that linked to the entrance of the labyrinth." (Setsuna)

After saying that she started to squirm strangely clearly wanting to say something more...

"Also... Myself was quite rude to thou my lord, I even tried to possess thou, myself is thine my lord and thou shall punish this dog of myself once outside for this disgrace!" (Setsuna)

Her eyes are clearly sparkling here, even if I can't see them...

"Yes! Myself can't wait for...*cough* Myself mean, myself shall wait for you to make myself receive a well deserved punishment... Hehehe..." (Setsuna)

"I told you she was an annoying pervert of a masochist!" (Mysty)

"What was that thou heathen?!" (Setsuna)

"Stop fighting! If you continue no punishment for you Setsuna!" (Shun)

"How could this be!" (Setsuna)

"Hehehe, take that." (Mysty)

"And no more married couple play for you Mysty!" (Shun)

"OH MY GOD!" (Mysty)

Why the american accent? How do you even know that reference...

"So let's stop fighting and get out of here already! Understood?!" (Shun)

"Yes... Dear..."Yes... My lord..." (Mysty & Setsuna)

After making their continuous fight stop, we walked to the teleportation circle that was hidden in a secret room behind the one with the seal.

As I walk into the magic circle, I think back to what happened in those around 4 last days, too much, seriously too much happened and I'm really exhausted mentally, it was like I passed a month down here... When we entered the circle a bright light started to come out of the circle, and in an instant we were back to the last empty room of the first floor, the stairs to the second floor just beside us. After walking for a minute we finally reached the door that lead to the market hallway of the entrance. But wait a minute am I forgetting something? I didn't see any adventurers in the first floor pass by me, and no sound is coming from behind the door... Weird...

As I opened the door thinking behind it was... Nothing... The Hallway that was bustling with life something around 4 days ago was now empty.

"I wonder what happened?" (Mysty)

"Mmm, I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting something here... Doesn't matter let just leave and go to a inn I want to sleep in bed for once." (Shun)

"Yay! It's going to be a lovely night!""So thou are going to take my first time my lord?" (Mysty & Setsuna)

"What was that?!""What did thou say?!" (Mysty & Setsuna)

Let's just ignore them... Walking through the now, strangely empty hallway with a bad feeling, I finally reached the stairs to outside.

Ah... Sunlight how I missed you! Seriously how can adventurers pass weeks down there? But as I finally climb up the stairs to freedom, a surprise was waiting for me there.

"His there! Get ready to battle!" (B.F.A)

... Fuck, I completely forgot about the adventurers incident ...

" You sure were quick lad... I guess the pretty lady with the eye mask is the blind queen eh? So they can really change into human form..." (Buck)

"Hello Buck... Yes she is the cursed blade 'Setsuna' but do I look possessed to you?"

"Sorry boy, but it's impossible to believe someone a was able to do something nobody could before, that's human nature lad, at the moment all I can think is that the cursed blade is hiding the fact you are possessed a way or another..." (Buck)

"How rude! Myself won't try to possess my lord anymore!" (Setsuna)

The 'anymore' was unnecessary here Setsuna...

"*Sigh* And here I was dreaming of finally sleeping in a inn..." (Shun)

"Sorry for that little guy, but no matter what we can't leave you alone, this town was scarred much too many time by a possessed adventurer or cursed swordsman." (Buck)

Now that I think about it, this world is big if there really peoples other than me, who were helped with Mysty and the scarf, able to reach the last floor. If guys this strong get possessed it's no wonder they leave a trauma to the town.

"... Is there really no choice there my friend?" (Shun)

"Sadly no, like you can see the time I bought by talking to you was used to make everyone take position... I really was fond of you, you little bastard, it's too bad it's finishing like this." (Buck)

"Same for me Buck... You are most likely the first friend I ever had... Setsuna, Mysty..."

Sensing my will the two turned in their blades forms, I didn't have any intention of using the two at the same time, that would just make me weaker than using one with my two hands. I put Mysty into my back between me and my backpack into the scarf and took a stance that I learned in my previous world and was also my favorite at the time. It was a stance that you can only use with a thin curved blade and a scabbard, a Iai-do stance, the art to attack while drawing your blade.

In fiction most of the time you see someone able to draw is blade, attack and sheath is blade in one move, with such speed you are unable to see it and only hear the guard stuck the scabbard as the blade return to it. In my previous world it was humanely impossible, but I wonder if I can do it here with this absurd body? But first there is something I need to try.

After taking my stance by putting my right foot in front and left to the back, lowering my waist, putting Setsuna to my left side while holding the base of the scabbard with my left hand and the handle with my right, I just unsheathed the blade a little and cut my right palm with a shallow cut.

As I did my view turned black by the curse, but I was far from being blind, it was amazing! I could see everything around me, mana, air, every livings forms, everything. It's far from being a curse like that... It's like the curse only make me color blind and in exchange gave me a more powerful sight. The curse of Mysty is painful but do give you back a high return with her devouring ability. But here, the curse was really low and the return really high.

"Incredible..." (Shun)

[Fumu... Myself knew thou would be pleased with it my lord.] (Setsuna)

[Mmumumumu...] (Mysty)

Don't fight in my mind please...

As they looked at my action curiously wandering what I was even doing... The adventurers were all wielding their weapons in front of them waiting to see who would make the first move...

*Clunck*

Oh? I did it...

"WHAT?!" (Adventurers)

With a simple sound that followed a ark of light to fast for most eyes, every weapons of the adventurers who were on the first line around me, split in two. Taking that at my chance I jumped above the crowd of adventurers and was soon at the other side of it, and ran away at full speed.

"After him!" (B.F.A)

"Stop!" (Buck)

"Why do you stop us?! He's going to rampage!" (B.F.A)

"If that was really the case why didn't he kill us?" (Buck)

"That..." (B.F.A)

"We were wrong... He wasn't possessed, I owe him apologies the next time our path cross... You are own hell of an incredible lad my friend... (Buck)

After running while jumping from roof to roof we finally reached the city wall, since it was higher than the roof I was on, I had to run in vertical on the wall to attain the rampart, seeing me the guards charged at me to arrest the suspicious looking ninja, but I jumped without a second thought into the forest on the over side of the wall using the tree to slow my fall. And at the moment my feet touched the floor I continued to ran straight inside the forest as to lose my pursuers.

After running for a while, I found a beautiful lake inside the forest, thinking it was really time to wash myself who was covered in dry blood and also wash my cloths at the same time, I undressed while hearing whistles coming from the two perverted swords I left against a tree while asking them to stay in this form to stay on guard.

Because I knew that if I where to bath while they were in human form things were going to get really messy... While entering the cold water and relaxing I started to chat with the two cursed blades.

"Running away is seriously becoming a habit..." (Shun)

[If you think so why didn't you just killed them?] (Mysty)

[For once myself think the same as the fool, thou should have killed all of those in thy path my lord.] (Setsuna)

So they can think the same as long as it's in the line of why don't you just kill everyone? Not that they totally wrong.

"You are not wrong but they are two reasons as to why I didn't kill anyone. The first is that they didn't technically do anything wrong, they were just trying to do the right thing and it would have left me a bad after taste to kill them, well not that much but still... The second reason and the most important is that I don't want to lower too much my credibility, if I killed everyone I would have been considered as really possessed and that would complicated thing in the future." (Shun)

[Oh! As expected of my lord! Thou always looking a step ahead!] (Setsuna)

[Yeah! Dear is pretty smart!] (Mysty)

Not really... It's just that compared to you two who only think of their desires I try to think a little more, well now that I think about it I do follow my desire a lot... Fuck we're the same...

But still this water is really feeling good, I wonder when was the last time I could submerge my body? Maybe it was a month ago when we gone swimming with Eva, maybe more? How many days passed since half my family were killed? Two weeks? It must be around that, it's weird I felt a little disconnected to time, like it doesn't matter anymore, quite the strange feeling really...

"My cloths still aren't dry and I really don't want to move for now... If it's really just a child leave it alone..." (Shun)

As I was swimming without a care a little girl suddenly appeared from the other side of the lake with a bucket in her hand, Oops, is this lake a source of water for a village near it? Sorry to have bloodied it... Still did I run that far? It's weird since some days ago my perception of time seem to twist a little. I'm able to tell how much time pass as long as I mind but the moment I don't care about it, it pass without me realizing...

As the little girl who looked around the age of Eva seen me her eyes gone wide open.

"Mister are you a fairy?!" (Little Girl)

"Yes?..." (Shun)

What the fuck? No sorry to say little girl but I'm no 30 years old virgin who are into weird internet rumor...

"I knew it!" (Little Girl)

"No no no, sorry, but I responded 'yes' due to the fact I didn't understood your question..."

"Eh? But you have weird hair and eyes and you are beautiful, my grand-mother always tell me fairy love to bath in this lake!" (Little Girl)

[Mmumumumu, she's clearly hitting on you!] (Mysty)

[My lord let's kill this girl...] (Setsuna)

... Like hell she's hitting on me you dumbass! And calm down with the jealousy act Setsuna! Jealous girls are freakin' scary!

"No... Uh... Well, thank you I guess but I'm really no fairy, I just lost myself in the wood and wanted to refresh myself into this lake that's all." (Shun)

"It's okay I understand! You must hide your true identity! I won't tell anyone I promise!" (Little Girl)

Your clearly not listening to me here... Who are you? Mysty twin sister or something?!

[My lord! A monster is coming from the same path as the girl!]

"Shit!" (Shun)

"Uh?" (Little Girl)

Running leaving only a blur I caught Setsuna and ran to the girl. A big monster was slowly approaching behind her, but with my speed I was able to come between her and... The werebear... Are those things everywhere?!

While making a comeback at the werebear sudden appearance in my head, I slashed at him upside down in a reflex splitting him in two... That was gruesome... Good thing at least I used Setsuna and not Mysty the little girl would have gained quite the trauma... After swinging Setsuna to throw the blood that was on her I sheathed her back and turned around to look at the little girl and...

"Kyyyaaaa!" She made a scream, I first thought was of fear but she was strangely smiling and blushing...

"Your thingy is quite big mister fairy!" (Perverted Little Girl)

"Where the fuck are you looking?!" Seriously? She was going to get killed by a werebear and I slashed him in two with one strike and that's her reaction?! Now that I think about it when we bathed together Eva kept looking at it too, and was even molesting me while pretending to sleep when we were sharing a bed... Are all little girl perverted?! Ah wait Eva is a adult inside... I think?

Well I didn't hide anything since I don't felt I had to be ashamed.

"Oops sorry! But you are amazing mister fairy! This werebear was causing quite the trouble to the village lately since the monsters near here are all weak!" (Little Girl)

"Is that so? So it was a lone-wolf werebear?" (Shun)

"Yeah! He appeared around a month ago and since then, attacked a lot of villagers, luckily nobody died but he still hurt a lot of peoples." (Little Girl)

"Well at least now he won't be a problem anymore. I should go back on the road so I guess it's good bye then. See you." (Shun)

As I was starting to walk back to my cloths whom were now almost dry, I hope. The little girl suddenly seized my hand who was free.

"Wait mister fairy! Please come to the village with me, we need to thank you for killing the werebear and saving me! My grand-mother always told me to repay every favors!" (Grandma Girl)

Mmm wouldn't that mean they would lend me a bed for the night and even a nice meal? Lately since I got accustomed to Mysty curse wielding her all the time, I now have a hard time guessing how hungry I am when I don't hold her.

"Setsuna, how much time passed since I started to run?" (Shun)

[Wait, do thou mean thou did it unconsciously?!] (Setsuna)

Looking as I was talking to myself the little girl turned her head to the side in a curious pose wondering to whom I was talking.

"Uh? What do you mean?" (Shun)

[She mean you ran a whole day without stopping, it's actually morning and the sun rose around two hours ago.] (Mysty)

Seriously?! I didn't even see the night fall! Good thing I ran to the south at least, it would had been annoying to have to run the other way around once again...

"I see then I guess I take your invitation..." (Shun)

"Really?! Yay! I'm Melody! What your name mister fairy?" (Melody)

"Shun... But melody can you release me so I can change myself? It's quite awkward..." (Shun)

"Oops sorry, hehehe." (Melody)

Saying that didn't make her look the other way around... But at least she finally released my hand and I could change into my almost dry cloths and take back Mysty.

[Mmumumumumu, where you charmed by the little girl? I didn't know you had such taste.] (Mysty)

[Is that true my lord? That would be quite the problem for myself...] (Setsuna)

"Of course not you idiot!" (Shun)

"Uh?!" (Melody)

"Ah, uh sorry I was talking to one of my fairy friend..." (Shun)

That was crappy lie...

"Ooohhhh!" (Melody)

But worked non less...

And now free from my nakedness I followed after Melody who was holding a full water bucket, that I offered to hold for her after seeing her struggle with it...
