《Rome on Middle Earth (ROME)》Chapter 12 - Darius Axe

Misty Mountains
Darius POV
My horse trots toward the front and I looked at Garen ordering the soldiers to prepare for the next wave of goblins coming down the mountain.
"We used up all our javelins, we can't weaken their next charge," I say to him frowning.
"We have two legions of men here, this should be enough after what I've seen them do"
"What do you mean?" I asked him
"They're actually weak, nothing compared to the barbarians of Germania. A shove of our shields can knock them down and finishing them off with the stab of our swords."
"I agree with you, their necks were too soft for my axe as I killed them when I and the prince RESCUED you haha!" I emphasized what happened earlier.
"Shut up! I was just trying to analyze their weakness that's why I was that far out!"
"Sure, sure you were analyzing their weakness" I speak with a satirical voice as I looked at the blushing Garen.
"Here they come!" Shouted by a centurion.
I looked at the goblins ten meters from him and trying to count their numbers: "There's at least seventy thousand of them. Should be enough to satiate my axe!" I said excitedly
Garen facepalm as he hears my words: "You're the only person I know who gets excited in a fight like a horny dog."
"I only love three things in life and that is women, booze and fighting! HAHA!"
I waved around my axe as I welcome the goblins. The charging goblins arrived in front of the shield wall.
BOOM!
The sound of impact as goblins slammed their bodies to the shield wall.
Without javelins the legion wasn't able to weaken their charge, soon gaps opened in the formation as goblins persistently slammed on the shields.

I quickly rushed towards the gap.
"Taste my axe goblin scums!" I shout as I swing my axe, killing three of them with a swing.
The goblins attracted by my war cry runs toward me. I quickly killed two more with another swing. I continued to swing my axe as I killed more goblins than a battalion of legionnaires could.
Without realizing how long I've been fighting I smiled as my axe continue to reap more lives.
"Orcs!"
I heard a shout behind me, I looked towards the rear and see giant wolves and what should be orcs riding them. I quickly urged my horse towards them, excited to fight new enemies.
"I hope they're not weak like those goblins!"
I tossed my axe towards them as I arrived, the wolf sees the axe too late and sliced its body.
The orc riding it falls off and Darius horse tramples its body. I grabbed my axe from the wolf's corpse and looks for a new target when I saw a big one fighting Thorin.
The orc rides a huge white wolf and has a blade as its right arm.
"That should be a good target!” My horse gallops toward their direction.

Odyssey of the Unrivalled
What do you do when you have it all? When you can do anything, go anwhere, know anything with less effort than stretching your fingers? When you feel jealous of any passer-by, just because they have something to do, somewhere to be? The answer was simple to him: erase your memories, seal your power and live a normal life. Still, something felt wrong. It just didn't feel... fulfilling. But then a magical formation appears in his office, and he and his co-workers get catapulted into another world. Profanity will be kept to a minimum, but will be included to keep realism. There will be some gore, vegans and animal activists alike beware. Will include some comedy, some meaningful conversation (I hope) and some things you will (hopefully) never expect in this genre. Hopefully quality will increase as it goes on. No schedule for chapters, but they will keep coming. Feedback welcome. View my other story at https://royalroadl.com/fiction/13168/fork-this-life
