Misty mountains
Garen POV
I charged towards the creatures slamming my shield at their frail bodies before finishing them off while they were still knockdown.
"They're really weak" I paused to catch my breath, while looking at the corpses lying on the ground around me before continuing to kill more of this strange creatures.
While fighting them I noticed how easily they were knocked down when slamming my shield and that their attacks were slow and predictable.
"They're just mobs."
Continuing my killing spree I kept killing them without realizing that I had gone too far out from the legions. When I realized my mistake I was already surrounded.
Looking at my surroundings the creatures encircled me while doing provocative gestures. They growled like animals and kept on taunting me probably trying to make me fluster and to find an opening, but even so I held my ground undeterred by their taunts. I continued to stand patiently as I eyed the surroundings waiting for a chance to break through of their encirclement.
Knowing that their taunts have no effect on me, one of the creatures lost its patience and charges towards me while shouting some gibberish words.
"No you don't!"
I raised my shield blocking the attack before stabbing the chest of the attacker. As I withdraw my sword from the creature's chest another one tried to attack me from behind. Quickly turning around I lifted my shield, blocking the attack just in time before stabbing my sword in it stomach.
"Argh?!"
The creature died while looking surprised at my fast reaction.
Seeing what happened, the rest of the creatures charged towards me. As I raised my sword and shield to face to incoming assault a small silhouette suddenly arrives in front me and slayed some of the charging creatures, successfully halting their advance. The creatures stopped as they looked towards the figure in confusion and fear at the sudden intervention.

Looking towards the person who saved me, I realized it was the midget with the wooden shield.
Observing the midget I smiled and give my gratitude. "Thanks, midget"
The midget frowned while looking at me before responding. "You insult me after saving you? I'm no midget I'm a dwarf."
I looked at the dwarf in confusion while tilting my head. "Dwarf? Never heard of them." I paused before smiling. "Still, thank you for saving me from those creatures."
"They are goblins." The dwarf replied. "Creatures of the dark who dwell below the misty mountains."
"Goblins huh? Also never heard of them, anyway my name is Garen Crownguard, head commander of the centurions northern expedition and praetorian guard of the prince."
The dwarf raised his brow as he responded. "Roman Empire? which country is that? Well I'm Thorin Oakenshield son of Thráin Oakenshield and king of Durin's folk"
"King?"
I looked at Thorin and was about to ask him about his title when the screams of goblins charging around them halted my speech. Quickly turning around I lifted my sword and shield while Thorin faced the other way raising his sword, we watched as the incoming goblins arrive.

Someone Like Adam
"You know, it won't physically hurt you to be nice for once." I crossed my arms in front of my chest and groaned. "I don't want to take a chance." the corner of his lips lifted a little as he finished his sentence. "Well, you don't hear me complaining. The view of a someone so desperately working out is not a delight either." I retorted in a weary voice. "I bet it isn't." he narrowed his eyes at me and commented. Ugh.. Why is he so damn annoying? "You know what, just take your arrogant ass out of my room." I scowled at him, pointing towards the door. With small steps, he walked towards me. I took a step backwards when he neared me. He was invading my personal space, making me a bit flustered. The urge to push back his golden-brown hair covering his forehead was increasing with every passing second. "Gladly." he mumbled against my face and then walked past me out of my room. It took me a minute to calm down my racing heartbeat. ... He was a mystery, an enigma I wanted to solve.
