Misty mountains
Tiberius POV
Looking towards the mountain I see 13 midgets and an old man going down the mountain. They were running away from an endless horde of ragtag deformed creatures that were coming out from a crack in the mountain.
I see them run while fending off those creatures, I observed the creatures chasing them wearing loincloths barely covering their wrinkled skin that is full of disgusting warts, they have sharp teeth and pointy ears, they are four feet tall and were waving their daggers and swords showing their aggressiveness making it obvious that they were hostiles.
"I've seen midgets before in Rome as entertainers and jesters while that old man should be a priest judging by the grey cloak, but what's up with that hat?."
The running old man looked towards our direction and shouted something at the midgets before changing their direction to us.
"Damn it they are luring them to us! Legions to arms!"
I heard my officers relaying my commands as they rally the men.
Even though the legion is still disoriented from just waking up they showed why the legions of Rome conquered many of their adversaries, the men are disciplined and well trained, they quickly rallied to their centurions and prepared for the upcoming battle.
"Shield wall!" Screamed by the centurions at the front. Soon men at the front lined up and lifted their shields.
"Archers nock your arrows!"
I heard the archers taking their arrows from their quiver.
"Garen go to the front and lead the men!" I ordered Garen
Saluting Garen rode his horse to the front along with some centurions. I feel the ground shaking
"Here they come" whispered by an officer nervously.
I see the fear in the eyes of my legion, they are still confused, we don't know where we are, and facing unknown creatures we have never heard of before.

"I need to increase their morale or we will die here"
I ride my horse to the front of the army and shout. "Legionnaires! We face the unknown but do you remember who we are? We are the legions of Rome! We defeated the barbarians of Germania, Carthage, Egypt, Greece, now let us defeat those creatures! Look at their frail bodies, they are walking sticks ready to be broken! We will meet them with our steel and shields and show them why we Romans are someone to be feared!"
The legions raised their swords as they regained their morale.
"ROAR!"
Looking at the legion I nod.
I managed to reignite the flames in their eyes, no longer I see fear and confusion but excitement to taste the blood of the enemy. Riding my horse to the back of the formation I watched the incoming tide and slowly raised my fist to signal the start of the battle. Soon I heard the blowing of trumpets.

Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends
In the civilized world of humans, 'monsters' have all but passed into legend. But when something goes bump in the night, when people begin to disappear, when a dark mystery begins to haunt even the most peaceful villages, there is only one organization to turn to: the Hunters. The Venatori. Having lived a life of discipline and service, former soldier Caiden Voros finds something even worse than the wars of humans: the monsters that hunt them. Horrors yet unknown even to him and his many scars await in the claws, talons, fangs, and mysterious powers of creatures so far beyond humans that he must dedicate himself entirely to the art of slaying them. Harboring a secret of his own and in a constant struggle to find answers while maintaining his sanity, however, Caiden begins to ask the age-old question... Who is truly worse, the monsters or the Men? Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends is an episodic collection of stories, each of which stand on its own, but they also build upon each other in a consecutive order, bridging a gap between a novel and short story collection. These stories follow monster hunter Caiden Voros and his partner Gwen Vergil as they embark on tales of mystery, horror, and adventure to track down monsters - the living dead, beast-men, shape-shifters, spirits, and many more - that would do harm to innocent lives and, by whatever means necessary, put a stop to their terrors. Their motives, however, are not always what they seem.
