《The Seven Demon Gods' Successor》Chapter 30- Once A looter Always A Looter

“What the hell!” After a long time, the spectators who were in a daze finally calmed down and exclaimed shock as they were looking at the unconscious Ramiel on the ground.
They all had disbelief expressions on their faces. Even the High Elves, Dark Elves, and the Demi-Humans’ expressions suddenly turned serious after witnessing this scene.
Some of the people present most likely couldn’t see through Mikhail’s move, but they were able to catch a glimpse of it.
He had somehow used two Skills simultaneously like a combination which wasn’t an easy feat. One of them was an Illusionary type of skill while the other was about speed. However, that wasn’t what surprised them.
What surprised them the most was the timing. It was simply impeccable. If he was even a fraction of a second late, his head would have been rolling on the ground.
At the same time, if he were to move even a second too early, his opponent would have seen through it and changed his attack accordingly or raised his defense.
However, his counterattack was so flawless that Ramiel didn’t even realize that he had slashed through the neck of a Residual shadow instead of the real thing until it was too late.
“Though he’s extremely young, this human is quite experienced.” Softly uttered one of the two High Elves.
This High Elf had fair skin, blueish jade eyes, and luxuriant gold hair draped down her shoulders like two waterfalls. She had a pair of sharp, long pointy ears.
She was extremely beautiful and the entire main hall seemed to light up with her appearance. She seemed just like a beautiful and graceful elf that had mistakenly wandered into a mundane world.
“Indeed, he might be able to withstand a few moves from Alfrey.” Answered the other male high elf as he was looking at the young elf standing by the arena. Unlike the other non-humans foreign diplomats, these two high elves seemed to be a couple.

Meanwhile, on the other side, the expression of initially confident Bishop Gerald was unsightly to the extreme. He stood there frozen, not knowing what to do. His complexion kept on changing color. He didn’t dare to believe his own eyes.
Aside from that, even though Mikhail had defeated Ramiel and saved the Imperial Family from embarrassment and humiliation, not all the Imperial Princes were happy with the result.
Some of them wanted him to lose badly as well. Such as the 1st Imperial Prince, the 3rd Imperial Prince, the 6th Imperial Prince, and the 12th Imperial Prince.
That was even more true for the 12th Imperial Prince, Vandal’s older brother. He was even more pissed by the result.
He had cold and calculating glints in his eyes as he was looking at Mikhail on the stage. His gaze alone seemed enough to cut him into many pieces.
As for the Emperor, he had a slight smile on his face as he was looking at Mikhail. However, that smile didn’t last long as his expression suddenly changed following Mikhail’s next action.
Not only the Emperor but almost everyone inside the main hall had a weird expression on their faces as they were looking at Mikhail, an imperial prince of the mighty Helios Empire who was currently robbing the unconscious Ramiel in broad daylight in front of countless people.
However, Mikhail didn’t pay them any attention as he continued to rob Ramiel. After taking his sword, he proceeded on taking the magical ring on his finger and then the small bracelet on his right wrist.

As Mikhail was looting the unconscious Ramiel, the system’s cold and mechanical voice continued to ring in his mind.
After taking Ramiel’s sword, bracelet, and magical ring, Mikhail patted both of his pockets as he was looking for gold coins. However, both of Ramiel’s pockets were completely empty.

Meanwhile, almost everyone had their mouth wide open from shock as they were looking at Mikhail looting Ramiel, including Bishop Gerald.
What the hell!
They couldn't believe their eyes. What was even more surprising, he looked so experience and was very thorough. It was as if it wasn't his first time.
“It seems like he had put all his money in his magical ring.” Mikhail softly uttered after realizing that Ramiel didn’t have anything in his pockets.
After he was done looting the unconscious and making sure that he didn’t miss anything, he then kicked the unconscious Ramiel out of the Arena.
If it wasn’t for the fact many people were looking at him, he would have even stripped Ramiel naked and stole his clothes just to increase the progress bar of the Demon God Avaritia Unique Skill’s Plunderer.
Nonetheless, he was still happy with the result as he was able to increase the progress bar of the Demon God Avaritia Unique Skill’s Plunderer by two percent by looting just one person.
Though Mikhail didn’t know what was inside Ramiel’s Magic Ring, he could tell that there was a handful of gold coins and some treasures inside. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be able to increase the progress bar by that much.
He remembered when he first looted the corpses of those poor ghosts from the Ether Church, these bastards were only able to increase the progress bar by only 1.05% and there were six or seven of them.
After kicking Ramiel out of the arena, ignoring the weird expression of everyone within the main hall, Mikhail looked around a little bit before fixing his gaze upon Bishop Gerald and then slowly said.” I was planning to challenge more people from the Luminas Empire but it seems like you only brought this little puppy with you.”
“Also, I am truly sorry. I didn't expect the Holy Son was this weak. I barely graze him with my hand and he was already out cold.” He added with an apologetic look on his face.
Listening to Mikhail’s words, Bishop Gerald wanted to vomit blood from anger and had an extremely ugly expression at the moment
This little bastard was clearly making fun of him by repeating the same things he said earlier when Ramiel had defeated the 7th Imperial Prince with a single move.
He wished that he could rush forward and kill that little bastard, but reason told him not to. Furthermore, he could also feel the Emperor’s piercing gaze from the distance. As such, he didn’t dare to act rashly.
“Well, now that there’s no one left from the Luminas Empire to compete, if anyone of wants to challenge me, feel free to step into the stage,” Mikhail said as he shifted his gaze towards the other competitors while ignoring the angry Bishop.
Challenge you my ass!
After seeing how Mikhail slapped the hell out of Ramiel who was a peak 7 Star Aura Knight like a fly, no one dared to challenge him.
Even those who were also at the peak of the 7 Star Aura Knight didn’t dare to step into the stage. They knew that they weren’t Mikhail’s match. As such, they didn’t want to embarrass themselves by challenging him.
Furthermore, this damn competition was Bishop Gerald’s idea not theirs. They only came here to have some fun and make connections. They didn’t come here to fight.
As for the Dark Elves, the High Elves, and the Demi-Humans, they also didn't challenge Mikhail. However, it wasn't because they were afraid of him.
After a few minutes have passed and no one came up onto the stage to challenge him, Mikhail got down from the Arena and left dejectedly .

At The Precipice
Defenseless. Scared. Alone. That describes the life of Brock Carter as of late. Following his ‘death’ at the hands of a vicious magpie, Brock is rescued by the machinations of the newly instated, all-powerful System and thrust knee-deep into a brutal world catered only to the strong. Fluctuating between two states of being and trapped within a city ravaged by time, he is told to either seek out the mysterious ‘Source’, or die trying. He just hopes he can do it without scuffing his expensive suit in the process. ***** Honestly, I've just always wanted to write a story. I had a crack at it a few years back, but the entire thing fell apart before it even began. At The Precipice was originally written as a way for me to destress and play with System elements and characters, but eventually I decided that if I was gonna write, why not post it too? Writing's just a hobby of mine, so don't expect this to be at published novel level, I guess, or even anything of relative polish. Updates every Mon-Tues-Wed-Thurs-Fri Average chapter length is 2000 - 3000 words ***** What to expect: - A semi-comedic/light tone, mixed in with a gritty world and brutal survival (not ever grimdark though) - An MC that thinks about what he's going to do and why he'll do it, even if his internal logic is lacking. Is a rather rational person, not often influenced by his emotions, but can be in extreme situations. - A plot heavily focused upon the MC, but one that will branch off to envelope the other characters in the world at times. Often, it's just other people's perspectives of him. - A story of power growth. While the MC is certainly going to be powerful, even over 100 chapters in from what I've written, he still isn't the strongest being on Earth, let alone the entire Multiverse. - Lots of gore, vivid fight descriptions, and often times deaths of people, some even somewhat important to the story ***** Things this story will never have: - Harems - An edgy, villainous MC - An MC that does jackshit about things for 'plot reasons'
