《The Seven Demon Gods' Successor》Chapter 18- The Imperial Capital

As the Imperial Capital of one of the Four Great Human Empires in the Antheia World, The grandeur and magnificence of Paradisum were nearly unmatched.
Located at the very center of the Helios Empire, Paradisum was considered the largest and most populated city throughout the whole Helios Empire.
In a world where hierarchical discrimination was as natural as breathing, as the Imperial Capital of one of the Four Great Human Empires, Paradisum had fully embodied this norm in its structure.
It was divided into three main districts: the Imperial District, the Noble District, and the Commoners District.
Just like its name inferred, the Imperial District was inhabited by the members of the Imperial family of the Helios Empire while the Noble District was inhabited by the nobles.
As for the Commoners District, the largest district of the Imperial Capital, it was inhabited by the commoners.
In Paradisum, a person’s status dictated what kind of house one could live in, with no way for anyone to overstep this boundary, no matter how wealthy one was.
“Truly magnificent,” Mikhail murmured with an astonishing expression on his face as he was looking at the scenery outside within his carriage as it was strolling down the streets of Paradisum.
It's been almost an hour since he had entered the Imperial Capital and he was still enthralled by everything he saw.
Even though he had inherited the memories of Vandal who was born and raised in this magnificent city, Mikhail was still unable to calm himself down after seeing it with his own eyes.
The streets of the city were built wide and spacious, approximately one to two hundred meters wide.
Even with the endless stream of carriages moving up and down the City, the streets did not feel crowded at all.
Aside from that, the seemingly endless rows of streets of Paradisum were all paved with an extremely rare and expensive Gray Marble Stone.

The Gray Marble Stones emitted a kinda stately aura: domineering, wealthy, and brilliant, representing an empire without being garish.
The Stunning architectural structure of Paradisum city was similar to that of Ancient Rome and Paris but a hundred times better and more magical.
The grandeur and enchanting architectural structure of Paradisum had already thrown these places in the dust.
Each one of the buildings was a marvel similar to the European cathedrals minus the giant sculptures. It wasn't simply their elegance that impressed Mikhail, but the efficient use of the land.
The architectural structure of Paradisum was so enchanting that it also bewitched a person like Mikhail, drawn him in that he had this sudden urge to call this place home.
“What a marvelous city. The imperial capital truly lives up to its reputation.” Mikhail whispered to himself as let out a long breath of air while his mind recovered its calm.
After traveling for about one hour or so, Mikhail arrived at his destination, the Imperial Palace of the Helios Empire.
As the residence of the most powerful family throughout the whole Helios Empire and also its ruler, the grandeur and the magnificence of the Imperial Palace of the Helios Empire wasn’t something that could be described with mere words.
Built on a large steep hill that overlooked the entirety of the city of Paradisum, the Imperial Palace of the Helios Empire was the most towering structure of the Imperial Capital.
In fact, there was no building in the entire Helios Empire, let alone the imperial capital, which was taller and more magnificent than the Imperial Palace.
The entire palace was white as snow, with gold, black, and blue accents covering parts of it. Despite its mammoth and colossal size, the Imperial Palace was enshrouded by a defensive magical formation like a dome, visible to the naked eyes.

As Mikhail was admiring the beauty of the Imperial Palace, his carriage was already at the front gate.
“Greetings, 13th imperial prince your highness, ” Simultaneously said the imperial guards as they respectfully bowed before opened the gate to let them in.
While the carriage was moving through the path, the nearby imperial guards didn’t dare to look up at Mikhail whose head was tilted to the window. They were all bowing to him and kept their heads down until the carriage disappeared from their sight.
After entering the Imperial Palace, it only took half-hour before Mikhail arrived at his residence. As one of the Imperial Princes of the Helios Empire, Mikhail had his private residence just like the others.
Each one of the Imperial princes' residences was like a mini Palace inside the giant Imperial Palace.
“I finally made it,” Mikhail murmured to himself as he got out of the carriage.
“Welcome home, 13th Imperial Prince your highness.” At the same time, the moment he stepped out of the carriage, he was greeted by a group of maids and servants.
These were his servants that worked in his mansion. Even if he has been absent for three years, these servants and maids were still working in the mansion, keeping it tight and clean.
They all bowed respectfully as they formed two rows at the entrance of the mansion. None of them dared to raise their heads to look at Mikhail in the eyes.
Meanwhile, Mikhail switched back to his cold and emotionless attitude as he walked into the mansion followed by his butler, Martin.
The interior of the mansion looked the same as it was three years ago from the memories of Vandal, majestic and luxurious. It even seemed a little more extravagant than before.
All of the servants and maids were the same as well, except for some new faces. Even though it was his mansion, Vandal didn’t hire any of the maids and servants. They were all assigned to him, except for Martin who chose to serve him.
“Martin, tell the maid to prepare a hot bath for me as well as some food.” Mikhail coldly ordered Martin before he walked upstairs where his room was located.
“Leave it to me, your highness,” Martin answered respectfully as he bowed at Mikhail’s back who was taking the stairs.

High school life in a world where everyone has superpowers
So, um... how do I explain this simply? Okay, so... There's a girl, she's er... She's in high school, and, um... She has a superpower that mutes things? Also she lives? Yeah, sorry. The concept's too confusing isn't it? Warning: The stuff below is technically correct, but this fiction, with my other, is now on the failed pledge list. Shocking how a lack of updates for more than half a year actually meant something... Sorry for the delay, still not really up to writing for this series as of now (14/03/18 - remember I'm english, so correct) but I'm still trying to get into writing... Cover is thanks to Zenlith (WriTE's Founding Member). This fiction is signed under the 'The Pledge'... Some internet message in a forum about not dropping or giving a rushed ending in their fiction, otherwise meet the wrath of letting RRL mod Vocaloid have 'fun' with the fiction's description. So mainly for the sake of my fiction due to said wrath, I'll see this fiction through. Updates: up in the air... hopefully the day after this is edited, but we all have dreams. Warning for mild profanity, but it shouldn't happen too much for the innocent out there so don't take the warning to heart.

Web of Isolation
Dane Kain: he was, on the whole, very uninvolved with life. He never had any particularly lingering attachments to life and tended to let himself be carried away by the flow of things, a fact that would become very important after his sudden death when he awoke as something completely alien. Using some half remembered fun facts from his passing obsessions in life as well as a penchant for making things work that simply shouldn't, hopefully Dane will stand a chance as the creation he has now become.

An Average American in A High-school Academy Anime
An American versed in narrative tropes and more than mildly acquainted with anime wakes up in a completely different bed than the one he went to bed in. Now he has to scramble to understand where he is, what's going on, and hope to God he isn't in a relationship drama. I don't expect this to be good or well-received, but I have plenty of time this quarantine, so I'll try to get a chapter of 4000-10000 words out every one or two weeks. (haha) Please let me know how it can be improved. I'm an avid reader of fiction, but I've never really fallen down a rabbit hole so hard that I can name all tropes and settings and such by heart. I'm not sure if this will be effective satire, so I preemptively apologize. Inspired by: "My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe..." by EO Tenkey and "The Simulacrum" by Eganthale. Check them out if you want probably better stories than this one.
