《A Personal Hell for A Winged Killer》Legacy of the Winged Killer

"Hey, Sarah."
Kem spoke as he lie his head against the desk in front of him, Miya sitting to his side. She hesitantly responded, speaking with a sigh.
"What do you want, Kem?"
"I'm not seeing Bo anywhere in this class. Why's that?"
Sarah sighed again, speaking frankly.
"He left a few minutes before you two arrived. You know how he is. I was surprised he remained in the class THAT long."
Miya leaned toward Kem, whispering into his ear as he lie facing away from her, but his head turned toward her as he listened.
"Is he the delinquent type? I've watched a few shows with those sort of characters."
"Nah, just doesn't care for lectures n' shit. Normally only sticks around for tests."
Sarah sat there and thought for a minute or so, sighed, and began teaching the class like normal. Kem looked extremely bored and began fiddling with his pencil while Miya sat, listening to her lecture. The topic was an incident from seven years ago, and students would give their interpretations on what they believed possible causes were and how any similar incidents could be avoided in the future.
Miya's eyes focused on her, eager to learn more about that night, and Sarah spoke thoroughly and clearly, starting from the beginning of the event.
"Gale Kreyn, a mercenary originating from the Southern District was investigating a dispute between the alliance of the Sleep Clan and Miura Family before the incident. Thoughts?"
A boy in the back of the classroom raised his hand, those around him stumped.
"Icarus Kreyn, the boy massively believed to be the cause of the incident's catastrophic loss of life, had the power of Full-Body Takeover, correct?"
"Yes. That is correct."
"What if he was a late bloomer, his power coming only at that age of 14... May I?"

The boy pointed toward the chalkboard, and Sarah nodded, allowing him to approach. Miya caught him glance at her as he approached. He wore a knitted hoodie, his hair long enough to reach over the majority of his face, covering his imperial blue eyes with a pupil and iris.
When he arrived, he wrote quickly and with great handwriting, connecting his words with thoughts that he didn't necessarily say.
"They're believed to have something called an awakening reaction-- something that no other ability is known to possess in which they go out of control, those around them having to subdue them before they are able to use their powers of their own volition. They live in villages because of this, a smart decision because of the stigma regarding their bloodline, but Icarus was different."
He drew 10 small people, one possessing wings that sprouted from its back.
"He was a Full-Body Takeover user that possessed wings since birth, and although underdeveloped, they were big enough to discern... What I'm getting at is..."
He continued to draw on the board, solidifying his point with the inclusion of marks that signified heat coming from each of the figures with a large amount of such markings surrounding the figure with wings.
"... What if these wings have something to do with the ginormous heat explosion and why his activation reaction was much more drastic than those of others of the same bloodline. From what I remember, those in the Kreyn family exiled him, and his mother, someone who was not of Kreyn heritage, was the one who took him in, unaware of this phenomenon. That's why she was killed by her own rampaging son."
Sarah scanned over his drawings, her hand reaching under her chin, and after a thorough examination, she pointed something out that caused his eyebrows to raise.

"I like your thoughts, Notaro, but you're forgetting a key component in this incident as well. Those with the power of the Spirit Puppeteer are able to create barriers; the heat wouldn't be enough to kill them, no matter the intensity."
Notaro chuckled a bit before pulling back his hair and continuing to politely argue his point.
"You're right... I might've overlooked that, however..."
As Miya continued to listen, Kem tapped her on the shoulder, his head still down.
"Hey, Miya."
He whispered softly, raising his head and leaning toward her as Sarah spoke to Notaro and the class.
"Yeah?"
His voice grew from a whisper to a yell.
"Wanna leave?!"
Miya flinched, startled by his sudden volume change.
"Huh?!"
The class grew silent again, and Sarah was staring directly at Kem with what looked to be absolute murderous intent.
"You're not very good at keeping secrets, huh, Kem?"
She spoke through her teeth, her eyes slowly growing yellow and engulfing her pupil and iris. Miya leaned toward her eyes, feeling a distinct connection with them.
Just how many people have those eyes in this school?
Kem's jumped out of his seat, Sarah's anger rising by the second.
"Let's get out of here!"
Kem grabbed Miya by the arm, and in an instant, they were running through the hall, Kem carrying her in his arms.
"What are you doing?!"
"That class is boring! Why don't we start looking for Bo again? I think I know where he'll be."
They began to slow down, having left the vicinity of Sarah's lecture hall, but Miya still wanted to hear more of the classes discussion, the topic resonating with her.
"W-We can't do that!"
He completely ignored her and continued running.
They kept running for a while, making Miya realize the actual size of the school's campus. Thoughts came and went as he continued running through the halls then into the courtyard, carrying her like a princess until they finally stopped at a small building that was disconnected from the rest of the campus, holding a sign that read 'S.Lounge'.
"We're here."
Kem spoke softly as if not trying to alert anyone and remained standing there. He stood there for a while until putting Miya down and knocking on the door.
