Scene 3 - A Life for an Arm?
Gritting her teeth Rune rushed at the figure with fury clashing against the tridents head with her fists in a chaotic manner. His trident moved like a snake as he moved along the land dodging and slashing Rune’s magic that she sent to him.
The wind carried his life a feather as he attacked Rune’s defenses dancing almost in her eyes, as small wounds started appearing on her body. But that alone left her in bewilderment as she clearly dodged his thrusts still blood was flowing from her body it took her a minute to figure out why clashing with the spear once again Rune grew a distance and spat at the ground with a frown.
“Humph as expected ticks of a weakling using parlor tricks. You're a wind mage, right? Why use such weak application of your element?”
With a chuckle, the man held his trident over his shoulder in arrogance, “Heh, only a fool would go all out at the beginning of a fight! I Danidon will kill you slash by slash kekeke.~”
Like a villain straight out of a b-rated film Danidon laughed, but despite his edgy and shameless manner, his skill wasn’t something to laugh off at. It was the real deal even if Rune was at full power he wouldn’t be an easy target to kill.
Still, Rune even knowing that she was at a disadvantage moved forward despite the pain, despite the disparity wrapped in rage laughed, “Ha ha… An eye for an arm, a leg for a life, a wounded animal is the worst thing to fight against. Tell me how much are you willing to lose!”
Full of wrath flames rolled over Rune’s body like a flaming beacon that couldn’t be extinguished easily. She clashed against Danidon’s trident as if processed as the word kill kept repeating in her brain as an unstoppable force.

She didn’t know where this emotion came from, this hate that drove her to insanity, to kill all those who defied her, all those that laughed at her. It was something calling in her mind to end this desirable world to ruin everything lay within an unquenchable wish for destruction that kept arising within her.
Rune did not try to hold back this wellspring of emotion and embraced it when it came to her. Her attacks would grow stronger, her hesitation would fall away, and bloodthirst would be at its peak. She needed to win and win and keep winning to wash away the memories of being weak and protect her siblings.
Even if she had to become a demon, she would gladly hand over her soul to become stronger. While Rune was fighting against Danidon, Qao was smashing through the enemies with the support of glasses sending blows of wind from his strange instrument is someone saw it’s setup they would be surprised his weapon was a Zephyr. He didn’t just hit the notes randomly a song played at his fingertips. The song played carried the tune of the rush a heated beat that made one’s blood boiled with excitement, it was so unexpected coming from a meak looking to play something so bloody.
With his support Qao fought against her enemies with ease even against eight opponents she smiled widely. The fought against each other for a length of time not finding an opening for one side to finish the other, although Qao was having the time of her life battling against such odds on the other hand Rune was fighting a bitter battle against Danidon.
No matter what attack she tried nothing seemed to go through, his wind pushed away her flames and her poison was containing the venom within her leg unable to move. Impatience kept nagging at the back of her mind growing stronger by the second as sweat trickled down her face. They had fought so long that Rune had stopped using the fire around her body to save energy brow as her breathing started to sound forced.

She could hear her breathing of her heart in her eardrums pounding against her, her heart hammering at her chest wishing to explode outwards. Vision getting cloudy she knew that the venom was breaking through her poison defenses from her overextending herself.
Rune knew she had to finish this battle soon, but the bastards trident always seemed to know what to block next. And as the cuts piled on her body Rune could see the hand of death closing in on her neck constructing her breathing as a sudden fear of death broke into her emotion of rage.
Blocked, cut, blocked, kick, cut again the demoralizing feeling of not landing one attack on this man hit against her self-confidence. Danidon gave no quarter when seeing Rune’s distress and kept on the attack mocking her openly.
“Haha, An eye for an arm, a leg for a life, a wounded animal is the worst thing to fight against. I expected more from you speaking such ‘heroic words.’ What a joke just lay down and die already, weakling. No one will miss you when you die.”
From his words, Rune moved away from his tridents attack range and stood still her scarlet hair covering her face. The veins on her arms popping outward pushing against her skin, as her fingers made odd cracking sounds as from head to toe her whole body was trembling.
Seeing such a move by Rune, Danidon figured that Rune had given up and accepted death as she wasn't looking at him anymore. With a frown, he started twirling his trident in hand building up to win mana along his tridents head.
“Humph as I guessed you bitch can’t stand the heat of the battlefield when death looms over you. Women like you should just stay in the kitchen and make me a sandwich! Now die, weakling!”
With scorn written alongside his face, Danidon sent a wave of sharp wind in Rune’s direction it was one of his killer moves that cut down experts in half. He figured it would end with this attack no matter how he cut it so he turned his attention to Qao and glasses who were currently battling the rest of his group.
As the blade traveled toward Rune everything felt slow to her as the word ‘weakling’ resounded through her mind. Someone dare call her weak… some bug?
Rune let loose the venom she contained in her leg and gathered the poison in her core. With that, the venom instantly flared up and started to make sting like patterns crawling up her leg in a slow and steady pace.
But despite the pain running through her body, her power returned to peak condition in an instant. Danidon felt the wave of power from Rune and turned to her direction with wide eyes as he watched the unthinkable.
Rune didn’t dodge the incoming wind blade that tore through the ground with terrifying speeds. Flames and poison twisted around her right arm like a leviathan that flowed two her into two fingers that formed fangs.
Eyes bloodshot she smashed her hand into the blade of wind creating an explosion of force pushing her back into the forest. Danidon watched in bewilderment as Rune walked out unfazed after facing his full power attack.
With a wild anger, Rune yelled in rage and charged into Danidon with wild abandon, “KILL!”
