Scene 2 - Flame Witch

Rune walked along the path slowly towards the two contestants keeping on her toes with her magic ready to go at a moment's notice. The silver-haired women in comparison to Rune’s stature was very tall towering an astounding seven feet, while the black haired boy was just at five feet much shorter than Rune.

Of the two the silver-haired woman kept her large Kukri machete at the ready, while the dark-haired boy had a strange instrument strapped to his back that Rune had never seen before. While Rune thinking about the boy's weird weapon and she kept an eye on the towering silver-haired women, as the two parties stood only a few meters apart.

The air was thick with tension as the two girls sized each other up with Rune standing on a fallen log to keep eye contact. The two stood with arms crossed arrogantly staring at one another, like two hoodlums declaring turf in a foreign land.

The first to speak was the silver-haired girl breaking the ice, “How many are there?”

Rune tilted her head back with disdain, “Ten, how many can you fight? I can take on four no problem.”

With a snort the silver-haired women, “I can beat up four as well, leave the other two to glasses here. After we beat them we part our different ways.”

Giving an arrogant smile Rune turned away showing her back walking towards the bridge making the silver-haired girl grow with shock, ‘How powerful is she to show off her back to a potential enemy?! She’s mad!’

Turning her head back after noticing the two weren't following Rune tilted her head slightly upwards, “You commin coward? If you are going to back out now’s the time to run away with your tail between your legs.”

Throwing away her useless thoughts the silver-haired women and glasses jogged over to Runes size about a meter apart. With a humph, the silver-haired women gave Rune a cold stare, “My name isn’t coward its Qao Xingshi remember it or I’ll have your head!”

With a lazy smile, Rune waved her off, “Yeah, yah names Rune Cloudstar if you forget my name I’ll cut your limbs off one by one and feed them to the pigs.”

As the two girls threatened each other glasses stood on the sidelines wishing not to cause trouble least the two lionesses turned their fangs on him. Cracking her knuckles Rune walked out of the jungle with Qao and Glasses side by side.

The people guarding the bridge noticed their exit stood in bewilderment, making Rune laugh her lungs out as a tear escaped her eye duct from all the amusement, “Ha.. ha… I hope you're ready punks, those that bar my path only one destiny lay bare and it’s Death!”

Eye’s flashing green flames Rune’s gauntlets lit up in a crimson fire as she rushed towards the bridge her face full of wrath, ‘I’ve been bluffing my way till this point I hope lady luck will carry me all the way through!’

Up to this point, everything had built on an act of full confidence and now she needed to squeeze out enough energy to finish these guys off and cross the bridge. She hoped with her meager power right now would carry her through and slaughter the people in front of her.

One of the contestants on the bridge used a bow and notched back an arrow aimed at Rune’s head wishing to put down this beast of a girl in one shot. Letting loose the arrow with only a ten-meter distance Rune in her weak state didn’t have the care or energy to dodge.

So the only thing she could do was be driven by madness and use her mouth to catch the arrow! Turning her head at the last second Rune caught the arrow with her teeth while running full tilt showing not a moment of hesitation!

The people at the bridge once stunned expression showed turned to fear as Rune closed the distance quickly at the anchor and made a fang hand jester. Before the anchor could do anything Rune dragged her fingers thru his eye sockets from left to right with enough power to explode his eyeballs.

A hollowing scream came from his throat before it was swiftly silence as Rune removed the arrow from her mouth and impaled it into his throat sending blood flying in streams. Holding his throat the anchor would soon die choking on his blood but Rune didn’t pay him any more attention moving to attack another contestant.

She was fighting to survive, to show to herself and the world she would never be weak again, she would kill and kill and keep killing those who bared her path. As she moved to her second target Qao had caught up with Rune and taken an arm from one of the contestants before caving their chest in with a powerful kick.

All while the boy with glasses sat on a rock setting up a strange contraption, but Rune didn’t care of what was happening behind all she wanted to do was see the world dyed red at this moment. As she moved to rip the next contestant to shreds holding his sword at the ready with shaky legs a figure dressed in gray battle armor rushed in fount of Rune aiming at her head with a trident.

Rune hopped away with her good leg and managed to get out of the tridents attack range. At that moment Rune wanted to rush in to attack the new opponent only for her scenes warning her not to attack.

There was a slight amount of fear tingling at the back of her neck telling her this wasn't an easy opponent to fight with brute force at her current condition. Rune decided to take a moment to gauge her opponent's strength, the person was a male with short brown hair and a shaggy beard.

Long vertical scars ran down his exposed arms, he wasn’t a beefy man, but he wasn’t a string bean either his eyes were cold and full of confidence in his skill. He stood ready to strike in his battle stance waiting for Rune to strike again.

Seeing as Rune wasn’t charging at him trident mocked Rune with a hand gesture,“Come flame witch let us do battle!”

With a cold snort, Rune’s eyes lit up full of anger, “Humph as if you have the skill! Prepare to die!”
