Scene 1 - Familiars

Walking down a hallway alone was a girl with flaming red hair and evil green eyes, dressed neatly her shining gloves by her side. Naturally, this girl was Rune CloudStar it didn’t bother her she was alone it just didn’t work out with those she entered with.

She smiled while playing with an orb of fire in her hands thinking about what they tried to pull, “How pitiable, they should have realized I was a mage and not some pushover. Oh well, at least Wabu and Lubu got a meal.”

Flames dancing on her fingertips moved along slowly training her magic while she waited for a target to appear, ‘I wonder how my brothers and sister are doing right now? I bet getting in trouble.’

“Ugh, when is something to punch going to appear it’s been hours since the last fight is luck bad or good?”

Venting her lack of excitement Rune sulked kicking a pebble along the way this when on for awhile until she heard fighting ahead in the distance. Ears perking up Rune rushed forward putting out her ball of fire with a smile on her face evil eyes glinting happily, “Lets fight!”

In the large room, a battle was taking place by a group of five contestants vs twenty golden back apes. Swords and fists classed one another are the two forces tried to slaughter the other, despite their numerical advantage the five contestants held a solid star defense.

Despite the stalemate the five contestants two demi-humans and three humans, their faces were sour at the current predicament. Whenever one of the golden apes exposed an opening the other surrounding it would help block with their steel-like hands.

The worst part was that the apes would switch out with another to battle anew, while their side got weaker and weaker. These beasts were smart tiring them until they could easily kill them without suffering any major damage!

Spitting out some blood a familiar voice rang out that if Jao were here to hear it would know it in a heartbeat, “Boy the shitty apes won’t let up, hey Princess how’s your side?”

It was Jayce and unexpectedly Princess Diana was with him!

Biting her lip in in anger Diana replied to her ex-subordinate while blocking the fist of an ape with her greatsword, “Why did we have to stuck in such a shitty problem it’s all your fault wolf boy! Just had to poke the hornet's nest without talking with us!”

Growling in response the wolf boy met fist with claw sparks flew from the clash, “I thought there was only one who knew there would be a swarm of these damn monkeys!?”

The other two the large black man and the rabbit-eared girl were silent dealing with their foes without a word. It was at this moment of mumbling a flaming figure of green smashed into one of the resting ape’s tearing its head off with brutality with its hands. Shocked at the scene the one closest to the few Diana mouth opened wide, “Another beast fuck!”

Anger flashed within Runes eyes roaring with furry as she smashed into another ape ripping its heart out splashing blood over her body making her look demonic, “Who you calling a beast bitch!”

The resting apes in the surrounding immediately howled in a rage after two realizing two of their kin had been killed by this frail human and rushed at her with killing intent. But this didn’t faze Rune as she shook her head, “Weaklings! I wanna fight your boss get out of the way!”

Pointing at the unfazed lager golden ape who was twice the size of the others, Rune snapped her fingers and turned her head up in scorn, “Humph Wabu, Lubu take care of these small fries.”

Appearing from her wrists wisps of poison and fire spread around her quickly converging into two figures which were a wolf made of elemental fire and snake made of poisonous liquid.

“Go, kill all the filthy monkeys don’t touch the humans and demi-humans.”

At her command, the wolf howled and the snake hissed then they rushed at the attacking apes, while Rune stood still cross-armed staring down the head golden ape with half closed eyes.

Diana yelled at the unmoving Rune seeing her crazy actions, “Move idiot! these apes are at the fifth and six level of HBR! If their hands hit you, you'll be crushed!”

Rune snorted arrogantly raising her head high, “Humph there's no need to move. Watch princess.”

Watching on with fuming anger Diana defended against her opponent every so often she would get a peek at what was happening over at Runes side to only grow more shocked. Bodies were burning and melting all around the black-robed figure.

Inhuman beast screams of pain could be head as the apes rolled around on fire and those poisoned foamed at the mouth full of blood bubbles twitching every so often. And the pair who did this damage were just two summoned elemental beasts!

Just a single touch made the damage spread, making Diana spin crawl full of chills at this horrifying slaughter. It became so bad that the ape leader couldn’t stand by anymore an in his rage charged at Rune full of fury over the deaths of his subordinates.

Shockingly his cultivation level had reached the 7th HBR level! Eyes narrowing Rune moved forward while snapping her fingers recalling her familiars she wanted to fight the big guy by herself.

Diana seeing Rune recall her familiars she warned her of facing the leader golden ape leader alone, “Fool! That beast is at the 7th level of HBR! Bring back your familiars or you'll be killed!”

But her warnings fell on deaf ears as Rune knocked her fists together a few times then took up her took up her battle stance, “Hush spoiled brat! Watch this Big Sister smash this monkey!”

Moving her legs started charging the leader golden ape with a bewitching smile, “Come you big sinking monkey you’re reaper has come!”
