Scene 1- Mathis
Walking along the silent hallway Len held a small boys hand with a scythe in the other scanning the horizons for an enemy to fight. In the little boys free hand, he held a compass staring intently at it. Walking along absentmindedly Len thought about what siblings a were doing, ‘I wonder if they are being safe? Ugh knowing them most of them will be running around fighting to their heart's content. I wish they could act more subtle.’
Blowing her hair away with her breath in a little anger Len had a sudden thought and turned to the little boy holding her hand who cheeks were bright red, “Any… Enemies...?”
Startled the boy blushed intently and shook his head up and down, “No big sis! Nothing on the compass!”
Looking away from Len’s eyes which were covered by her thick hair the boy went back to staring intently at his compass not daring to look up at the Len. Seeing this action only thought of one conclusion, ‘Ah, I must look scary with my hair covering my eyes. Maybe I should get a hairpin and hold up my hair from my eyes? Nah I’m not good looking anyways no one would wanna see my face.’;
With such thoughts Len stared intently at the little boy making his spine shiver coldly, ‘Hmmm he really does look like Sol a lot; same eye color, same hair tone I should really introduce them it’ll be funny.’
Making up her mind Len spoke up to startle the little boy like a rabbit, “Hey boy… Should meet… Family…”
The boy’s face lit up like a tomato steam coming from his ears, ‘Is big sis proposing to me?! But we just meet my heart isn’t ready!’
With such thoughts, the boy deeply nodded, “S-s-sure! Y-u-you can even meet my little sister she’ll be happy to meet you as well!”

Tilting her head Len asked, “You… have… a sister?”
The little boy beamed his eyes turning to stars, “Oh yes she's very cute! I and her have been living with our parents until! Until… what had happened.”
When thinking about the memory the little boys face turned dark wearing his emotions going soon silent. Hearing him go quite asked in curiosity, “Until… Mathis...?”
The little boy now known as Mathis tightened his hip on Len’s hand and forcefully holding back his tears, “Bandits attacked our manor… Flames everywhere mother and father killed while protecting us. Everyone except me, my sister Minya, and out butler made it out of the tunnels.”
Len nodded her head understanding Mathis’s predicament and turned her weapon small and patted his head as the tears rained down upon his cheeks making his eyes go wide, “Understand… losing someone… very painful… do you wish… for revenge...?”
Mathis eyes transformed from his pained expression into burning wrath like a wounded beast, “My sister said that revenge wouldn’t bring anything but more pain, but I couldn’t accept that! How could I live knowing those bandits are ruining others lives! How could I live comfortably in the city still knowing that those bastard bandits still live freely without paying in blood for their crimes!”
Seeing Mathis pained expression Len kept petting his head advised in a soft voice, “Don’t… lie to yourself... you don’t care... about those things... you just want to… kill them don’t you...?”
“No, that’s wor--”
Covering Matis lips with a figure Len hushed him making him blush a deep red, “Sshhh… big sis is talking… me and my siblings… had the same problem… very painful… but our master said… revenge is up to the personal choice… can you live with it…? Can you live without it? Choice… yours… Remember this… Now get ready….”

Moving Len’s hand away from his hand Matis didn’t linger on Len words for long when he had time alone he would later, “Why?”
Pulling out her scythe Len twirled it with a single hand heroic air started to gather around her body, with a ‘chink’ sound Len’s Scythe tip stuck into the ground pointing in front of them, “Monsters…”
Turning his attention towards the monster Mathis let go of Len’s hand and pulled out his short sword and small buckler clumsily flustered awaiting for the monster's approach, Soon what appeared was a pair of Cockatrice racing towards them at high speeds.
They were gray feathered, their yellow eyes flickered coldly in the blue blow as their snakes hissed laying on the chickens headed part. With a quick glance Len could see how shaken up Mathis was and faintly smiled, pulling for out six bone needles from her satchel attached her qi to the needles like thread and sent them out.
The white crystal-like flew true smashing into one of the Cockatrice two heads, heart, liver, and feet exploding them into gore leaving a shredded corpse in its wake. She was sad that the prey was too weak for her to use her scythe.
Turning to the boy Len pulled her hand back returning the needles back to her hand by pulling on the qi strings, ‘Mathis…”
“Yes?”
“Fight that one… alone… I’ll watch over...”
“Eh? Oh. Yes!”
Sitting back against the wall Len controlled her needles around her body by Qi strings watching the battle between Mathis and the Cockatrice. If he needed saving she would kill it and save him only she hoped that came as the last resort.
She hoped this fight would help him decide if he has the will to kill! Without that will he might as well leave this exam and live with his sister then fight upon this path of bloodshed, ‘If he wants to get revenge kill, kill and keep killing! Only then will you have the strength to acquire the strength for your revenge to those who have wronged you!’
