Scene 3 - Blood Demon

Taking the advice of Drake after resting a half hour the three went back out into the hallway searching for a fight. With its casual glow lighting up the way the group made their way slowly down the hallway keeping chatter to a minimum, weapons at the ready at their sides the group they checked the compass every so often.

Minutes passed and until Luna got a reaction on her compass showing two dots in front of them, making a signal towards her brother and Drake they agreed with the plan to jump them. Walking casually down the hallway Luna’s breath rose a beat as her eyes narrowed, gripping her spear loosely.

Step by step the changes in Sol’s and Drake’s movement had also changed, one's eyes turned ice cold holding his staff and dagger at the ready and the other sunny smile had transformed into a silent slit.

Soon the party was just around the corner from their prey Luna’s heart quickened sweat dripped down her face, ‘Just treat it like the slums, steal or be stolen from, kill or be killed harden your heart!’

Luna turned around to her brother and Drake once again making sure they were ready, once getting the green light to go she didn’t hesitate.

Breath in.

Breath out.

She charged forward.

As expected the first thing Luna saw was two people they wanted to jump were prepared to fight; only unexpectedly there were five people! With such a miscounted number caused Luna to stop mid charge with Sol stropping behind her Drake of seeing the two stop waited in the shade of the corner.

Suddenly a clap was heard one of the youths stood out in front smiling from ear to ear, “See? Didn’t I tell you this plan would work boys? You two and the one behind the corner hand over your talismans and you can go.”

Turning his head to his other companions to see their reactions, the youth made a fatal mistake. Seeing his band of misfits smile turned to horror made the leader look bake confused only to see the point of Luna’s spear inches way.

“Eh?”, were the last words the youth spoke before thrown spear pierced a fist-sized hole through his head. In that instant, the battle began as the youth’s body slowly fell to the floor twitching and flowing with blood.

Charging with her shield in hand Luna yelled a battle cry full of fury, “HOW DARE YOU LOOK DOWN UPON ME!!!”

The blood had rushed to her head as she met a swordsman head on rushing her with his sword drawn. The fury of being looked down by this bunch had Luna go into a frenzy, ‘Rob me? Me?!? Ha! I gonna kill you all!’

Sol tried to stop Luna from rushing alone like a madman, “Stop sis what are you doing?!”

Drake showed up at this time and pushed Sol forward to act, “Go brat! She’s under spirit procession she isn’t thinking straight cover her!”

Turning his head in fury held his tongue and rushed after Luna, ‘He could have just told me, why push me!’

While that exchange was taking place Luna was about to clash with the swordsman of the group who reacted the fastest covering the body of the youth so she wouldn’t be able to get her weapon back. Rushing barehanded didn’t deter Luna from charging with just her shield in hand, running straight at the blade with no regard for her life.

Steam rushed out of Luna’s mouth as her eyes shined from blue to bloodshot red as hollowing words were spoken in a bewitching whisper, “I’m going to kill you all.”

The resolve the swordsman had before fractured staring at the demon in front of him, ‘Is this really a cultivator?’

That last of thought distracted the swordsman's making his sword hand falter for just a moment which Luna took full advantage. Moving her shield in front of her, Luna forced the swordsman's sword away with her shield and closed in.

An what happened next made the other three youth’s feet shake in fear, closing the gap Luna grabbed the swordsman's hair and pulled up exposing the neck then she opened her mouth wide and tore out the swordsman's throat out with her teeth.

Blood showered the ground, the swordsman's bright eyes grew wide full of fear dropping his sword he backed away from Luna holding his throat he threw away all his talismans in an instant and teleported out of the exam.

His companions shook in fear not knowing if he is alive or dead, they felt dazed, confused, and most of all fear. But they didn’t have much time to think as loud steps could be heard from Luna, even at this time Sol had stopped holding his breath.

Luna walked slowly as if intentionally making a huge scene towards the body she impaled with a spear and with a soft ‘shink’ blood splattered for a moment With spear now in hand Luna turned to the remaining three youths which at this moment was scared shitless.

Pointing with her spear at the middle of the three Luna head tilted to the side spitting out the throat in her mouth. Her bloodshot wide then eyes narrowed as blood dyed her face making her look like a blood demon as smoke kept coming out of her mouth.

While a smile that could freeze over lakes Luna smirked, “You’re Next fatty… I hope your throat tastes better than that idiot who ran.”
