Scene 1 - Headshot

Stalking the hallways, a youth with a bow in hand notches back an arrow, a teardrop flickered murderous intent, on the upper limb in the light. In front of the youth, three blue wolves prowled 20 meters in front of him, moving ever closer towards him, cautiously. The two parties had already sensed each other’s bloodlust long ago.

This youth was, of course, Saren Cloudstar.

His brown hair was tied up with a simple string, while his brown eyes gave off the vicious glow of an animal. He then closed his eyes and tapped into the memory of his bow, becoming attuned to his surroundings.

Wind, distance, power… all the elements of archery filled his mind.

All his senses sharpened greatly before he opened his eyes to see the wolves now 15 meters away. Showing his teeth, Saren craving for blood grew intensely, increasing by a frightening degree. Raising his bow, he aimed at the central one. Arching his back, he pulled the string in the form of a crescent moon, so that the arrow lay ready to unleash hell. All of his bloodlust flowed into the arrow before his bloodlust condensed into the tip to sharpen it. His actions made the wolf pack’s hair stand on end.

Breathe in…

Breathe out…

*Soosh*

The wolves wanted to dodge, but couldn’t due to Saren’s overpowering bloodlust! The arrow traveled far and true, entering the right eye socket of the centermost wolf perfectly, killing it in an instant! With no break in between and whilst letting the arrow fly, he pulled another arrow from his quiver and shot again in the span of one second. The arrow hit the wolf to the right squarely, right in the nose; burrowing straight into its brain, killing it.

Now the fight was one on one, a fight between wolf and man. Saren didn’t shoot this one; instead, he put away his bow in his sack. Pulling out both his battle knives that hung like key chains on his waist, enlarging them to normal size. He motioned with his hand in a mocking manner to the last wolf, taunting it to come at him.

The desire for his blade to bathe in blood increased by each second he waited. That is until the wolf couldn’t handle the pressure anymore and charged with wild abandon. With a smirk, Saren ran forward, welcoming battle head-on.

With a wild smile, he laughed almost sounding deranged, “Haha! Let’s fight!”

Clashing, the youth and the wolf traded attacks, but soon it became clear that he continued only to toy with his pray. Cutting and slashing the wolf’s body up with his two battle knives, blood stained the walls.

Dripping blood all over its body, with an eye missing, a good chunk of fur was gone, revealing its ribs on the left side of its body. Organs and the intestines were flowing out on the ground, getting snagged on the moss and roots; the wolf’s right ear was missing and the right front leg was limping. With the remaining eye, a person could see that the emotions inside were fear, anger, and helplessness, turning ever more into insanity.

The wolf cursed inside, cursing its luck that it had to fight this evil human! It was the one who was supposed to play with its enemy; he should be digging into this human’s guts! He should fear me! ME! Howling angrily, the wolf cried to itself over its bad luck.

Saren noticed this with a grin from ear to ear, as he motioned to the cornered wolf, “Come on! Show me your last struggle in life… Let me taste the last flicker of your soul before I end it!”

With a brave howl and despite the wolf’s wounds, the beast charged with the highest speed it could muster. Even Saren was startled as he narrowly dodged the wolves final attack, just barely missing razor-sharp teeth. In the wolf’s final moments, it finally had landed an attack using its claw, on the his sleeve showing the number 47 in a notable shine of silver.

Jumping on the barely alive wolf body, Saren held it down and slowly stabbed the wolf in its remaining eye. Twisting the blade left and right as the wolf howled in agony . Blood splashed onto his face, with a displeased expression, Saren removed his battle knife when the wolf breathed no more and kicked the corpse in front of him.

“What a weak creature… I’m disappointed...”

Letting out a breath of air, Saren got up, leisurely collecting the three copper talismans changing his number to 50. Collecting his arrows, he moved forward with his bow in hand and walked along the hazy blue pathway, his only company that followed him was silence along the pathway. He missed his siblings already.
