Deciding on avoiding the awaiting crowd of villagers Yuuta used a gate to get to the chiefs house. The guards only gave a nod to the two guests seemingly acclimated to his gate magic. The chief and her granddaughter Azure was by her side eating their morning breakfast. The chief gave a small nod and smile as they walked across the room.

"Good morning you two I hope you slept well." The Chief made small talk as she took another bite of her porridge.

Ria gave a nod. "Yes thank you once again for letting us stay the night."The chief chuckled before replying. "Jeez you two both so humble it's quite annoying! You save our village and you thank me it is preposterous, to say the least." Yuuta gave a hearty laugh at her feigned anger. "You're not gonna like what I do next then."Yuuta opened a small portal his hand disappearing and slowly reappearing in his hand was baseball-sized blood-red stone. "I was so preoccupied with getting back here I forgot to grab the magic stone from that hobgoblin before we left." Azure almost kicked herself for forgetting also."I'm not trying to brag but I'm doing pretty well when it comes to money and since two of your warriors helped in the battle you deserve it as much as I do." Before the two could reply he tossed the stone at Azure her instincts kicked in and she fumbled to get her hands around the stone.

"Anyways we have a lot to do today so we'll be leaving using a gate don't really want to get surrounded by a crowd. It's been a pleasure we will be sure to visit when we can." Yuuta quickly spat out his little speech all while his gate spell was open ominously behind him.

He grabbed Ria and started walking through the gate a loud "Stop!" from the Chief Made Yuuta freeze. He half-turned around with a devilish smirk. "Sorry, no can do grams gotta get Ria to her family. No need for thanks or trying to decline the magic stone out of pride. I'm just helping out some friends." He continued through the portal ending up on the other side of the village. "Are you sure that was a good idea Yuuta? I feel like that was a little rude just leaving so suddenly."Back in the chiefs house the Cerra and Azure looked at each other in confusion. The chief made an audible groan. " That damn boy is too nice for his good. People like him don't come along often I can't help but feel at ease knowing our village seems to have a made powerful friend."Azure nodded her head in agreement as she rolled the magic stone back and forth in her hands. Her heart beating faster than it should have been a small pink on her face. "Yea he's ok."****After less than an hour of flying the city of Querth came into view. Its giant white stained brick wall was the first thing Yuuta noticed it had a sense of elegance almost. The whole city was made of white bricks with flourishes of bright colors mixed in.Deciding not to cause a commotion by landing in front of the gate he detoured to a quiet section of the road. Yuuta and Ria stumbled out from the tree line as they walked towards the city.Ria was noticeable anxious the twiddling of her thumbs and constant eye movement made her look like a shady criminal.

"We might not get into the city if you act like that." Ria's twiddling thumbs froze as she looked at her fiancé. "They might think you're a thief or wanted criminal I mean you literally just looked behind your back." Yuuta started laughing as Ria's face turned into a slight pout. She relaxed her arms and patted her dress straighten out the noticeable creases.

"You know I can't help it jerk! This is it I've been waiting for months and I finally get to see Ash and my dad." Yuuta tried to joke to make her forget about her nervousness but it backfired on him pretty harshly.

"It's been over a year I've changed so much I mean I can only imagine what there're going to think. They must have gone through changes as well for all they know I'm dead and were never going to see me again." Tears started forming in her crystal blue eyes.

Yuuta took that as his cue to wrap her up in a hug. "Don't worry so much about what's changed all you should be thinking about is how happy they're going to be to see you again and how happy you're going to be to see them everything else comes after."

Ria seemed to relax in his grip as she nodded her head to his words . "Thanks, Yuuta you always know what to say. Actually, you don't but every once in a while you do when it counts!" They both laughed agreeing whole heartily.

It didn't take much longer to make it to the line entering the city. Luckily being a lord and an A-class adventurer had its perks like not waiting in line for entry to the city. The giant gate was guarded by over 20 soldiers above and below the wall all on high alert. Yuuta's eyes almost shot out of his head when he passed all the people waiting in line. Cat people, Dog people, people with wings, scales, fur, and even people with insect bodies. It was a

mash-up of every race in one place. They're where more prominent races as well dwarf, fairies, elves, and humans were amongst the line as well.

Ria was having just as much of a culture shock seeing all the different people she being a cat folk had a much more relaxed outlook but it still amazed her none the less.A plain human guard came forward to greet the line skippers. "Excuse me unless you have identification as a high-level adventurer or nobility I will need you two to wait in line like everybody else. Before you ask no a gold coin won't change my answer." The soldier gave a tired

explanation it seemed he got this a lot.

Yuuta gave an understanding smile before speaking. "I have both." He handed over his family sigil and adventurers card. The guard quickly snatched his two identifications before reading them over. After an exacerbated sigh seeming to put him in a worse situation than before. He

walked off to a door and disappeared.

Ria tugged in his sleeve getting his attention. "He doesn't seem to like his job huh?" Yuuta nodded his head in agreements. " I don't blame him if this is his permanent station then he's basically a glorified Walmart greeter he spends his whole day talking to impatience people who have somewhere to be. It's probably torture." Ria didn't think of it that way and made her almost pity the worn-out man. She didn't understand what a Walmart greeter was but she got the main part.

Instead of the plain human guard, a nicely dressed man with porcupine quills for hair stepped out of the secret room holding his identification. A warm smile grew on his face as he made his way towards Yuuta.

"Hello lord Vermillion and lady Vermillion my name is Verium Greixs (Grecks) I am a page from the great Greixs house. It is my pleasure to help you with anything you might need." He gave a small bow his quills reflexively stretched out as he bowed.

"Thank you Verium it's is a pleasure to meet you as well, we will not need much assistance just directions to the Bear River inn I'm meeting a friend." The quill headed man nodded.

"Of course although I don't recommend you staying there it's much below standards for a visiting Lord. I'm sure you would be an honored guest in our lord's castle." Verium scoffed at the idea of the two nobles staying in a simple inn.

"No need to worry about us we'll figure out something." Yuuta tried to play off the invite not wanting to get involved in another countries politics.

"I must insist you meet with Lord Greixs I'm sure he would be delighted to greet you. I'll escort you their right away." What started as a friendly invite became an order very quickly. By the look in Veriums's eyes, he wasn't allowed to let the two go.

Yuuta made an audible groan as Ria grabbed his arm. Yuuta looked for a good rooftop and after spotting one in the distance a gate formed under the two's feet and they quickly fell through it. Reappearing at his chosen rooftop. He exhaled loudly already worried about what the nobles wanted from him. Helping Emery was a one-time thing no more overthrowing Kings at least if it could be avoided.

Lost in his thoughts he got a sharp elbow in the side. "Give me a warning next time Yuuta I feel like my stomachs doing flips," Ria grumbled a little at her aching stomach."Sorry about that I'm so used to it I forgot how disorienting it is." Yuuta reaches out placing his hand on her stomach a small glow enveloped his hand. A soothing feeling hit Ria immediately she almost let out a moan as her stomach fluttered.

"Feel better?" Yuuta asked sincerely. A small tint of red-painted Ria's face as she nodded. "Ok no more gates for a while." Before Ria could reply he picked her up and jumped from the three-story building. Ria let out a loud yelp as they plummeted towards the crowd of walking pedestrians. Yuuta aimed for an empty spot among the crowd, using some air magic he slowed his descent at the last second. A giant blast of air funneled out around him gaining the attention of the walker by's.

Yuuta ignored the whispers and asked the nearest person for directions to his destination. A couple of twists and turns down side streets they finally arrived in front of The Bear River inn. It was a semi-large two-story building it looked like any other inn you would find in a big city. It was still early morning so the inn was packed with people eating breakfasts. A small grumble from his stomach made him realize he skipped eating, one glance at Ria he could tell she was the same.

Yuuta took a quick look around for the innkeeper. A beautiful well-figured woman who looked to be in her late twenty's early thirty's was in the middle of talking to a customer when the two approached. "Get the hell out of here you ape! You think you can come in here and demand a room you damn adventurers never have manners I swear." Yuuta grabbed Ria's shoulder pulling her gently behind his back he didn't want her caught in the middle of this.

"Shut up you old hag I said I would pay half price for the room. I'm a B class adventurer I shouldn't have to pay full price for this dump. I'm surprised you have any customers if this is how you treat everyone." Yuuta's eyes focused on the man after hearing he was B rank. His eyes scanned over the man he was skinny but not scrawny his body was packed with lean muscle two daggers were on his lower back. They looked expensive, to say the least. His leather armor was dark brown and form-fitting it was clear he was a rogue of some sort.

"I don't care what rank you are S, A, Or B the price is the same now leave before I call the guards! Damn kids nowadays have no respect I bet you got B rank on a fluke you seem the type to maneuver in the shadows using others for your accomplishments." The lady went into lecture mode dismantling the rogues' pride.

"That's it insulting me was your last mistake I'll show you just how strong I am then you'll see!" Anger exploded from the man as his hand quickly reached for her throat. Time slowed for Yuuta as he watched the rogue he almost shook his head at how cliche this guy was being.(How have you lasted this long if you react like this to an insult! You would think the guild could tell he was bad news just from his attitude.) in the middle of his thought, he effortlessly stopped his attack grabbing his wrist and twisting it behind his back. The man shrieked in pain as Yuuta did a one-eighty pushing him towards the door.

"Let go off me! Who do you think you are!" The man complained loudly as he tried to wiggle free. Yuuta tightened his grip making the man squeal in pain. The man wasn't b rank for show though using his momentum he spun his way out of his twisted arm and went for a low sweeping leg kick.

Unfortunately, his opponent was Yuuta, even though the kick landed square on his ankle. If it was anybody else he would have went flying sideways landing in his back. The man froze for a second as his eyes met Yuuta. A wave of magic power exploded out of Yuuta making the man instantly feel weak and nauseous.

"Just leave before I have to do something I don't want too!" Yuuta barked at the man making him scramble backward out the door as he tried to stand up and take off down the road.

At this point, everybody in the inn was watching the commotion. The few adventurers in the inn were evaluating the newcomer thoroughly. To take down a B rank so easily made most of them curious. The middle-aged woman ran up to the white-haired guest and gave a deep bow showing him a nice view of her cleavage.

"Thank you! I may have gone a little too far provoking him sorry for making you clean up my mess." The woman seems genuinely appreciative for the help.

"No need he crossed the line when he tried to grab you. I'll make sure to talk to the guild so he's reprimanded he gives adventurers a bad name. Well, I guess we don't have a good one anyway."The inn keeper gave a small chuckle at his joke. "My names Isabella but you can call me Izzy it's nice to meet you!" She went in for a hug surprising Yuuta but what caught him even more off guard was Ria catching her face in her palm and pushing her back deflecting her hug.Ria gave Yuuta a look he didn't like to see. Izzy looked at the cat-eared girl in confusion as she rubbed her nose. "My names Ria, Yuuta's fiancé it's nice to meet you."

A tall dark brown-haired man was sitting in a booth watching the commotion. The white hair instantly caught his attention a small smile on his face. He had been waiting over 2 months for them to arrive. When Ria introduced herself with Yuuta he almost yelled in excitement he was ready to get this over with and go home to his family.

Barret got up from his booth quickly and made his way towards the two still talking to the innkeeper. "Hello it's lord Yuuta Vermillion and Lady Ria Vermillion correct I've been waiting for you."
