"What the fuck they couldn't do one thing right elite assassins my ass." King Holger was screaming furiously at his advisors. "I sent my son there and there's a good chance they know I'm the one who sent them he's as good as dead. I can't even retaliate if they do kill him." He flipped his desk in anger drawing his sword and swinging it erratically at objects in the rooms catching one of the cowering men in the neck slicing his throat. Blood poured out as he looked to the two men for help but none came.

"What should I do you worthless advisors give me one good suggestion before I murder the two of you pathetic imbeciles." The men cowered in the corner before the braver of the two spoke up.

"If- if they kill the prince that would give you plenty of reason to execute the lord and his family. It's not the best plan but the prince's sacrifice wouldn't be in vain." He said before cowering in the corner with his fellow advisor.

"Are you that retarded if they have the balls to kill my son then that means they have the proof I sent assassins you idiot. Emery is not alone in this rebellion if he can prove it where fucked. It gives them a cause to get behind and follow his banner into war. I can see it now the unjust king that tries to murder his own lords." At this point, his anger was boiling over still taking swings at the three dead men who died long before his first rant was over.

Yuuta and Ria slowly walked towards the guild together Ria clinging to his arm. Yuuta forgot how popular he was now, little kids followed behind like he was superhero asking for his autograph. He gave a couple but found it tedious and decided to ignore them.

A couple of the single ladies were trying to start a conversation but he put a stop to it quick giving Ria a kiss in the middle of the street making her beam a smile while simultaneously turn bright red. Men didn't even think about getting close to Ria now she was with an A class adventurer approaching her meant a 100% chance of getting there ass kicked.

"I forgot we're going to see Ro-Ro again it's been a couple of months!" He was excited to catch up with her he did promise to visit and he hasn't kept his side of it.

"Who's Ro-Ro?" Ria asked she had never heard him mention her.

"She's the first person I met at the guild she helped me out a lot when I started out and always had my back you will like her." Yuuta gave a raving review making Ria all the more curious.

They arrived at guild not long after. It was midday so it was pretty baron most of the adventures already out on requests. Yuuta spotted Cerona doing paperwork as usual. Her hair was up in a bun framing her beautiful face. She looked hard at work slightly biting her lip and frowning at the paper.

"Hey, Ro-Ro!" Yuuta screams making her jump in her seat. A bright smile plastered her face before she even looked up. Only one person was allowed to call her that without getting killed.

"Yuuta!" She got out of her seat and ran towards him. Unexpectedly Ria player interference and wrapped Yuuta in a hug before Cerona could get to him. She stopped in her tracks almost embarrassed at how fast she moved to hug him.

Yuuta enjoyed the little jealousy of Ria but she knew by know nobody could replace her. Wiggling out of her grip he gave Cerona a hug making her blush furiously.

"I missed you sorry I didn't visit." He apologized letting go of her. Ria quickly took his arm back.

"Don't worry I know you've been busy Mr. A rank adventurer not to mention Lord of a city!" Chuckling to the absurdity of that statement.

"Oh and this must be the girlfriend you're always talking about Ria right it's a pleasure to meet you." Ria shook her hand happy that Yuuta talked about her.

Yuuta cut in." Actually, she's my lovely fiancé now." He said giving her a kiss still happy he got to say that.

Cerona clapped jumping up and down she gave Ria a big hug congratulating her. " I'm so happy for you two by the way he talked about you I'm not surprised at all. Somebody said something about you getting married but we didn't know if it was hearsay or not.

"Do you have some free time I want to catch up a little and I'm also here on business," Yuuta asked.

"Yea we can use a conference room I'll meet you upstairs second door to the left." She said happily going to the back room quickly.

Yuuta went to the bar first ordering some wine to bring with him before they walked up to the stairs. Ria enjoyed checking out the guild it was her first time and was pretty excited seeing all the request on the board. The grizzled and scarred adventurers getting drunk or complaining to a receptionist about failing a request or needing more time. She got a look into Yuuta's life she hadn't seen before which always made her happy.

Yuuta was feeling a little nostalgic this was where his adventure started in the new world. After coming back from Palmes he was excited to get back to the academy and take requests again he missed the freedom of doing what he wanted even if he had to bring along some weaklings with him.

Ria cuddled up next to him sipping on her wine. "So what do you want to do later?" Yuuta asked her trying to get some ideas.

"Hmm... why don't we meet up with Gildi and her friends and go to Giodore's for dinner it would be nice to see him again and all the girls I worked with."

Yuuta likes the idea he always enjoyed hanging out with Gio he considered him his closest friend even if they don't see each other often. "That sounds perfect I can invite Ro-Ro to and have a makeshift family dinner with everybody before we leave.

"She was awfully quick to hug you though," Ria grumbled to herself making him chuckle. " Is somebody jealous?" He said teasingly poling her side.

"Whatever it's not like you've threatened to kill people for touching me!" She shot back laughing at the memories of having to pry him away from handsy nobles.

"Hmpff! They should know to keep their hand off what's mine." He said proudly sticking his chest out. Ria grabbed his head and turned so they were facing each other. "Well, it goes both ways." She whispered back before kissing him deeply. The kiss lasted till Cerona walked in and almost dropped her paperwork turning into a tomato.

"Sorry for interrupting!" She turned her back to them face flushed red. Yuuta couldn't stop laughing she was acting like she caught them doing something way dirtier than a kiss.

"It's fine you can turn around weirdo it was just a kiss." He couldn't help but tease her a little. Cerona quickly took her seat he offered her some wine but kindly declined she was still working only on her break.

"Well let's get down to business then we can talk sound good?" Yuuta asked pulling the tooth out of his jacket pocket.

"Sure I brought the paperwork with me let's see.... it looks like you got a request from the king himself very impressive." Her giggle turned to a look of complete shock looking down at the paper.

"Yuuta you didn't!?" She screamed at him. His rebuttal was a nervous laugh followed by looking anywhere but her eyes.

"Are you crazy you fought a dragon by yourself are you stupid!" She continued screaming at him Ria cut in he thought to defend him but instead it was to agree with her. " Yes, he's definitely a crazy stupid dummy who doesn't think anything through." Ria started ripping into him as well making the two girls laugh.

Before they continued the onslaught he jumped in. "Well anyway it's already done and here's the proof so we can just put it behind us!" Quickly turning the tooth over to her.

"Wait I thought you came here to say you failed I figured that's why you came to me because I would let you down easy without hurting your pride. But you're telling me you actually killed a dragon." She took the tooth and inspected it carefully before excusing herself to check the authenticity. About 20 minutes later she came back with a dumbfounded look on her face. She looked to be having a mental breakdown trying to figure out if this was real life and not a crazy detailed dream.

"The tooth checks out it real not from any subspecies or lesser dragons it's a full-on adult dragon tooth I just can't believe it." She said almost sad it was real. "This is a priceless artifact and you were walking around with it in a bag."

" Of course it's real why would I come in here with a fake tooth you know me better than that." He said almost offended even though it was a lie he needed to sell it.

"No, I know you wouldn't do something like that it's just insane you have no idea what this means Yuuta you killed a dragon. Yuuta the dragonslayer will be your title for the rest of you're life you will most certainly get promoted to S class and that alone sets you up for life. Not to mention the reward I had to send workers to the bank to get the 500 platinum coins you could buy a castle for that much money." She kept spitting out all these things that he didn't really care about other than getting promoted S class he really didn't care that much but it would be nice. It just rolls off the tongue he thought to himself. (The S-class Dragonslayer Yuuta Vermillion)

"Well that sounds cool and all but it doesn't really matter what they call me I've always been this strong. It's not like I didn't see this coming if anything it helps me protect myself from that shitty king!" Yuuta grimaced as he spat the words out and Ria clung to him a little tighter calming him down.

Cerona couldn't let the comment pass so they caught her up on everything that happened. Well, what they could tell her leaving out Emery plotting a coup. A couple of minutes later 5 guild workers carried a giant bag of coins into the room. All three of them let out loud exhales when they release the bag.

Yuuta quickly picked up the bag with one hand like it was filled with feathers and opened a portal placing it inside. Everybody besides Ria got mind fucked in less than 5 seconds. He then explained he could use space magic and was frankly getting annoyed how many times he had explained the same things to people.

Cerona had to get back to work so she said her goodbyes after a couple of minutes of catching up. She accepted their invitation to dinner and would meet them at the restaurant.

Yuuta and Ria stopped by Rohan and Emmy's bar to ask them to dinner which they also accepted though a little upset they had to close early but Gildi convinced them it would be fun. After having the plans set out Ria was tired so they caught a quick lunch from a street vendor and headed home for a nap.

Laying in bed Ria was fast asleep the snoring starting not long after her head hit the pillow. She wouldn't admit it but she was still exhausted from yesterday's event. Yuuta's guilt was stacking fast and he needed an outlet. He slowly slipped out of and opened a gate back to Yuart castle he had a Prince to deal with. He walked out into his room and quickly used mana to find Emery. Wasting no time he used another gate to get to Emery. Sitting his study he still got scared half to death every time Yuuta popped out of one of those things.

"I have 2 questions and answer them quickly I need to be back before Ria wakes up." He said calmly but with anger in his voice. Emery only nodded.

"Did you find out anything from the Assassin?"

Emery tensed up knowing where this was going. "Yes he gave up everything quickly we have a magic caster who can manipulate memories and emotions. The assassins name was Heralt but went by Alpha. He admitted to being ordered to kill me and kidnap my daughter and Ria. He also admitted it was the king who ordered the attack which helps us greatly. This is all because of you Yuuta we would be dead if you weren't here that night and now I have the ammo we need to dethrone that son of a bitch. We will still have to siege the capital but nobody will get in our way once I send out the proof nobody will stand by his side especially with my allies more than half the lords have joined my banner it's practically a done deal. We are currently gathering troops we will have an army 250 thousand strong by the fortnight and over 500 thousand in a months time." Emery was practically jumping for the joy his smile was a genuine as it came the day was finally coming to avenge his wife.

"I'm happy for you Emery I truly am now to the second question and it's a rough one. Well, it's less than a question more of a statement I'm killing the prince and anybody he came with. He disrespected Ria and thinks he can talk down to her because she's a cat folk. He called her a mutt and for that, he will die." The pain and anger in his voice was clear. Emery had a serious look on his face weighing over the statement. He could think of better uses for the prince mostly a bargaining chip but Yuuta had that serious look in his eyes.

"Fine but you have to do it discreetly if it's gets out before we're ready to attack it could blow back on us. I'll call him into a conference room and do it there. Then I can say we captured him and make the king think he's still alive for the time being. He brought10 guards with him they will wait in the hall so do it quickly and take out the knights fast I'll make sure nobody is around to interfere or be a witness. There's one other thing I need you to do and it's maybe the most important moment of my life and the history of this kingdom.

Yuuta said nothing as Emery fished out a piece of paper. " This is a written statement for the prince to sign and place his royal magic seal on. It is the proof I need to implicate the king in my assassination attempt. If you can get him to sign this then the war is as good as won." Yuuta read it over and accepted it.

"For everything you've done Emery it's the least I can do but I will not be around for the war I'm going to Palmes with Ria and will probably stay there till it's over." He made his intentions clear he wanted no real part in this war it was Emery's crusade not his but he would help where he can.

"I see I will not argue but I will be king when you get back and you a prince whether you like it or not take the time you need in Palmes to adjust to your new reality." Emery walked towards him placing a hand on his shoulder giving him a soft look. " I am truly grateful for everything as well, this could have never of happened without Yuuta. I know your not my real son but all be damned if I do not feel the proudness a real one would have for you. Wherever your real parents are I know they would be proud of you." He said tears forming in his eyes before smothering Yuuta in a hug before sending him off.

Go now use the conference room in the west wing by the maids quarters." Yuuta didn't say anything's he left. He was touched by Emery's confession it felt nice to have somebody be proud of him other than Ria. He walked to the room thinking of a way to provoke the prince into attacking. Then a wicked smile curled up on his face he knew exactly what to say. "Sorry, Gildi."
