Chapter 2

After taking off with Ria it didn't take long to reach a dirt road. He put Ria down and waited for her to wake up she had passed out while he was running. He couldn’t help but notice her sleeping face was pretty adorable. He lightly shook her snoring self.

"Wake up already I need you tell me which way to go"

Ria slowly opened her frantic eyes. She took a moment to gather her self before she started yelling rapid fire questions at him.

"How can you run so fast that was way faster than a carriage it really scared me you know!!"

Ria's eyes began to water as she talked fear welling up in her.

Yuuta started panicking trying to calm her patting her shoulder. "Sorry I didn't really think about it please don't cry"

"So which way is Celis left or right" looking down the barren main road.

"Right"

Ria gave her answer meekly.

"Ok let's get going it's going to get dark soon"

They started making there way down the road making small talk as they walked.

Ria occasionally stole glances at her savior. She couldn’t help but notice his bright red blood eyes. They mesmerized her almost like she was being sucked into his presence. It made her want to help him be with him. Being close to him made her feel warm and safe like nothing had before.

"Hey Yuuta when we get to the city you have to wait at the gate till the guards let you in there is usually a fee"

"Ok makes sense I have some money on me from the bandits guess I got lucky."

( I haven't thought about it but I don't know anything about this world. I guess I will have to make up some story about where I came from.)

With his new plan in action he decided to get some information from his new companion. "Hey Ria could you tell me more about Celis."

"Sure but I don't know much. Umm....let's see it's one of the biggest cities in the Kingdom of Hartford. I've only been there once when I got sold off to my old master. it's really big there's lots of shops and food stalls it was really nice from what I got to see."

"It sounds nice..... I guess I should tell you I don't really want to sell you like a slave.” He started matter of factly.

"So does that mean you're keeping me?" She said with a small smile hoping he would do just that.

Yuuta's face got red after what Ria said he wasn't planning on keeping her but there's no way he could sell her off to a stranger. Just thinking about doing something like that made his skin crawl.

" Yea for now at least"

Ria was smiling from ear to ear after hearing Yuutas words. She became a giddy school girl in a matter of seconds.

( I hadn't noticed before but Ria is incredibly beautiful. She wasn't very tall about 150 cm her black hair flowed perfectly down her back, her cat ears perched on her head twitching ever so slightly at the sounds of the forest. Her blue eyes dazzled in the reddish-orange sunset. An ugly metal collar was around her neck clanking with each step. Her figure was incredible she had a perfect body that filled out nicely. Curvey thighs swayed seductively her bosoms bounced as she walked. I need to quit staring before I freak her out!)

Ria's face went red as she noticed Yuuta looking her up and down. There eyes met just before Yuuta could apologize his senses suddenly sharpened there where 3 wolves down the road less then 200 meters.

"Ria wait here don't move ok" He said holding his arm out motions for her to get behind him.

After inspecting further Yuuta realized those weren't normal wolves they where at least 3 meters long and had a horn that looks to be shooting electricity.

"This is kind of scary " he whispered to him self. “Time to see just what I can do!” He yelled firing himself up.

Yuuta dashed off towards the wolves full speed he made contact with the first wolf in the blink of an eye kicking the wolf as hard as he could. The wolf literally exploded blood rained down as the lump of meat on the ground became lifeless.

The rest of the wolves squealed and took off after they sensed Yuuta's power.

"I really need to learn to control this power I'm way to strong haha"

Yuuta made his way back to Ria after trying to wipe the blood off his clothes.

Ria looked on in amazement at his show of strength. He was so strong but still so kind from her experience the more power someone had the worse they were.

"Your really strong Yuuta" she said with a smile.

"Thanks I guess, I think I need a weapon I'm tired of getting covered in blood " he laughed half heartily.

Yuuta took off his jacket and threw it on the side of the road it was dyed red with the blood of the slave trader and wolf he killed making it useless.

As the sun was about to set Celis came into view. There was a short line at the entrance to the city most of them looked like traders waiting with there goods on carriages. Yuuta and Ria quietly waited in line and slowly made their way to the guards at the gate.

"Welcome to Celis do you have any identification like an adventurers card?”

"No we’re new to this kingdom. I will pay the entrance fee.”

The guards looked Yuuta and Ria up and down before talking.

"Very well it's 1 copper piece per person to enter the city"

Yuuta pulled the coin purse and handed the guard a silver piece and got 8 copper pieces back.

(At least I know the exchange rate of the coins now.)

"Welcome to the city of Celis. I'll go over some of the basic laws of the city. First no fighting unless provoked or you are a member of the adventures guild. If you have any problems or see a person breaking the law please notify a guard. Make sure to check the notice board in the main square for information pertaining to the city.”

(So there's an adventures guild too it's just like the books and manga I read this is gonna be fun)

"I understand thank you, could you give me directions to an inn that's not to expensive please"

"Sure a place I highly recommend is The Moonlight Inn. It's cheap and has good food. You just follow the main road for little while and look for the sign of a crescent moon."

"Thank you we will be on are way then.”

As they walked they looked at the shops Yuuta was looking for a clothes shop to replace his jacket and too get Ria some clean clothes. After walking for about ten minutes they found a shop called The Bear Kings Tailor.

"Hey Ria do you want some new clothes you must be pretty tired of those rags your wearing"

Ria’s eyes widened in surprise. "Are you sure mast......."

"Don't call me master please where friends so just call me Yuuta.”

Yuuta became flustered after hearing a pretty girl call him master. But it was too cringey to hear her say it.

"Ok are you sure Yuuta nobody has every bought me clothes before. I mean something this nice is to good for me Mas.... I mean Yuuta.” She said with a warm smile.

(Man Ria's smile could kill me cold)Was all he could think. He shook his head a little to break his line to thought before answering.

"Of course just pick out whatever you want as long as it's not to expensive unless you want us to sleep outside tonight haha.”

As they entered the shop they where greeted by a giant burly man at least 2 meters tall. Even though he was huge he had nice aura about him.

"Hi my name is Melis owner of The Bear Kings Tailor. Let me know if you need anything.”

"Thanks where just looking for now.”

After making their way around the shop Yuuta felt a small tap on his shoulder he turned around to see Ria standing behind him holding a long blue dress with white lace going down to middle.

" Is this what you want it looks nice"

Ria buried her face in the dress not being able to look Yuuta in the eyes. She couldn’t believe she was going dress shopping.

"Umm if you sure you don't mind then yes please" Her ears twitched as she meekly spitting the words out.

"Yea I'm sure i think it's gonna look great on you.” Yuuta said with a small smile giving her a wink.

Ria's face turned bright red after hearing him. As they were talking a black long jacket caught Yuutas eye.

(This is perfect) he thought to himself.

He picked up the jacket and put it on to test the size it fit perfectly.

"What do you think Ria doea it look good?" He spun around in a circle and struck a pose.

"Pfft hahaha you look good Yuuta" Ria's smile got as big as she could and wouldn't stop laughing.

"Hey come on I was being serious." They both started laughing as they made there way to Melis to pay for there new clothes.

"Good choice let me see that will be 5 silver for the dress and 2 silver coins for the jacket" Yuuta asked if there was somewhere Ria could try out and put her clothes on as he was handing a gold coin over to him. Melis gave 3 silver coins back as change.

"Yea you can use the changing room in the back" The burly man motioned to a back room.

Ria made her way to the back and changed clothes. She came running out and did a little spin striking the same pose Yuuta did.

"You look amazing Ria" He said giving a chuckle at her pose while also being amazed at her beauty.

"Thanks Yuuta.” Averting her eyes from him a smile crossed her lips.

"We should get goin I'm hungry let’s get something to eat at the inn I'm sure your hungry as well.”

As if on queue her stomach started roaring. They both laughed at the same time. Yuuta reached out his hand. "Let's go"

Ria hesitatied looking up at him his eyes silently reassured her that it was ok. She grabbed his hand and they walked out of the shop together both with dopey smiles in their face.

After walking for a while they reached a building with sign The MoonLight Inn. Yuuta let go of Ria's hand and walked in the Inn as he walked he saw Ria standing outside.

"Hey why aren't you coming in?” He asked quizzically.

"Umm I usually sleep outside with the horses" she said looking at the ground playing with the frills of her new dress.”

(This girl is just too cute like hell im gonna make her sleep outside)

"Umm I don't know if I can afford two rooms but if you want you can sleep inside my room. There’s no way I would make you sleep outside.”

She was in shock not knowing how to respond she just stood there waiting for something to come out of her mouth.

"Are you sure I've never got to sleep inside an Inn before I don’t want to do something to embarrass you Yuuta!”

"Yea just hurry up people are staring at us!” he said half joking.

A group of what looks like adventurers where looking at Ria with demented eyes. Ria noticed and ran into the inn holding his arm.

As they entered the two story building the first floor had a check in desk on the left side and a restaurant on the right. There was an old man sitting at the check in desk staring at the two new customers that walked in.

"Welcome to The Moonlight Inn my names Giodore are you looking to eat or a place to stay"

"Both how much for a room and food"

"5 copper coins per day for a room another 5 copper coins for 3 meals a day. the food covers two people so you won't have to pay extra for the lovely lady you have with you"

"Ok I'll take a room and food for 10 days"

"Ok that will be 1 gold coin"

He handed over a gold coin asked to eat right away they where seated right away and it only took about five minutes for the waiter to bring the food. The food looked amazing it was hot meat stew with fresh bread cooked that day.

Yuuta started eating immediately it took a minute until he notice Ria just sitting there staring at her food.

"Go ahead and eat it's goin to get cold"

"This is for me?" She asked surprised.

"Of course it is who else would it be for." He said with a smile.

"Ohh thank you very much Yuuta." A bright smile lit up her face.

Ria started stuffing her face at incredible speed she finished her food before he was half way done. Yuuta finished and got up and rubbed his stomach.

"Hey you must be tired let's go to our room ok"

She nodded her head and quietly followed him. They made there way up the stairs to the second floor and found there room Yuuta walked in first and looked around the small room there was one bed and a table with two chairs. He had asked for an extra blanket and pillow so he could sleep on the floor. Yuuta laid out his blanket and pillow on the ground and stretched out.

Ria noticed him laying out in the ground and was instantly confused.

"No you can have it" He said plainly not to worried about it.

"Really I've never slept on a bed this nice before are you really ok with it I mean you paid for it!” She said frantically getting more nervous.

"I'm sure enjoy yourself hopefully when I become an adventurer we'll have enough for two rooms"

Ria's face turned pink and a slight smile could be seen"

"Thank you Yuuta.......” she paused slightly as an idea struck her making her go bright red. “You know you can sleep with me on the bed I don’t mind.You shouldn’t sleep on the ground."

(There's no way she just asked that she’s so innocent it hurts... unless she isn't is she making a move on me. There's no way she's trying that. My back does already hurt from this hardwood floor. Fuck it why not it's not like this is a Anime where I don't have the balls too I was just being considerate to her.)

"Are you sure this ground does suck so I wouldn't mind"

Ria had a look of surprise like she didn't know what to do next.

"Yea it's fine I can't expect you to sleep on the floor you payed for us to sleep in this comfy bed"

"Ok then thanks" Yuuta laid down first and as far as he could to the side of the bed looking over at Ria who sat down on the other side and started to lay down both their faces where beat red. After a couple minutes things calmed down Ria started squirming.

"Are you awake Yuuta"

"Yea what's up Ria"

"Thank you for saving me today this might be the best day of my life. Soo.. really thank you for everything if this only lasts for today I’ll treasure it.”

(Man her life must not be easy I just showed her compassion and a little kindness. And it's the best day of her life.)

"No worries it's what anybody would do right"

Ria rolled over and put her head on his shoulder and put her arm around him. Her face bright red at her sudden act of courage.

"I don't know where your from Yuuta but nobody would ever do what you did here. They would just keep walking and not look back. I know this weird but when I'm with you I feel safe, can I sleep like this please just for tonight?"

"Yea I don't mind I'm just happy I could help"

He started to rub her head and back as they slowly fell asleep in each other arms.

(Man today was crazy my new life is goin pretty good so far can't complain can't complain)
