《Magic Monsters Money》Intermission: During A Blizzard

So, a few things happened after I copied Allenshyre’s armor.
First, he thought I stole it from him. The reason for this is that the armor itself is a unique magic which is granted by the gods. However, the > easily decoded it and replicated the magic formations. I got too excited on using the armor that I immediately casted it while holding Allenshyre’s hand and caused the misunderstanding.
Second, I found out the reason why Allenshyre is here. He was supposedly sent by the [Grey Legion] to find a heretic and kill him in Dalseriev Dukedom. When he realized that I was that heretic, he himself cornered his mind in confusion. Not only he would kill Cherry if he kills me, there is the probability of turning the king’s right hand, the Duke, to revolt and wipe them out. So the only logical answer for this is to leave me alone and the girls.
I may have left Allenshyre an impression me looking like a villain, but what choice do I have?
After we’ve resupplied in Parlit Town, we immediately leave the place. Only because the townspeople look at me like I’m some kind of villain that stole a Knight’s bride. Can’t it be the other way around?
***
We finally reached an open field where there is nothing else could be seen but snow. Well actually there are mountains from afar too.
Since the wind has slightly gotten a bit stronger and colder, we took a break and camped temporarily in order to let the horses rest. After all, those poor creatures have been walking for almost 2 days.
Sora created a bonfire with his magic. Since its magic, it doesn’t need a wood to burn except for his mana.
Everyone is grouping together since the wind has gotten stronger. Two groups of the escorts, and one group for the girls. However, the strong winds became a blizzard and has gotten too cold. Because of that, Ghena and I created a barrier of wind and pure mana. The mana barrier is for preventing the snow to enter the sphere while the wind barrier sweeps off the snow that would build up on the barrier so that we wouldn’t get trapped inside my barrier.

There’s no other choice right now except to wait for the wind to calm down. And right now, Sora and I are outside of the barrier, doing some things with magic. I forgot to mention, Sanjeet is also here.
“So what are you planning to do? This isn’t some kind of prank, is it?” (Sora)
“Hurry up, it’s really cold out here you know.” (Sanjeet)
“Just be patient, I’m going to test out that armor I copied from that guy.” (Me)
Then I pull out my right hand from my coat. The ring is really cold.
“>”
Then, numerous scripts came out in my field of vision… everyone’s vision. Sanjeet can’t understand what I’m doing since he can’t use magic, but Sora isn’t an exception since he can only read the basic magical scripts, not ancient runes.
“So what are you really planning to do with it?”
“I’m trying to test if this armor can be worn by someone else.”
After that, I walked towards Sanjeet. Then, I offered him my hand so that I can start executing my experiment.
“What are you trying to do?”
“I’m testing my magic on you.”
“If it’s something involving explosion, I’m going to kill you.”
“Don’t be such a pussy.”
Then after that, he grabbed my hand. Both of us are freezing.

From Sanjeet’s hand, the red fire engulfed his body but not burning him. And after a few seconds of transformation, Sanjeet is now wearing armor slightly similar to Allenshyre’s. I modified its look so that it wouldn’t be called a pure copy.
Since the magic was too sudden for Sanjeet, he couldn’t help but get surprised. He looked all over his body to check if it really is full body armor.

“Dang! This is some nice armor. Moreover, it’s not cold.”
“It’s probably because of the fire element on the armor.”
“Dude, me too! Grant me that too.”
Sora got excited upon hearing Sanjeet’s words. After all, it really is cold.
After giving him one, he then tested out his dagger if it could be sealed.
“Why are you trying to seal it?”
“Well, the idea having instant defence during an important fight crossed my mind. So maybe I’ll seal this up as insurance.”
After drawing a star on his chest plate, the magic formation glowed and activated its function. However, the idea of sealing the magic instantly broke. The sealing magic got dispelled when it tried to take in the armor. This is not really surprising. I’ve scanned the [Black Hermit’s Dagger] not too long ago and it seems to only absorb magic spells that are either Original and up until intermediate-level, not divine ones. And because this magic is originally from a God, it is considered a divine magic.
“Come on, can you at least modify it so that I can steal it?”
“Steal it. Impossible, the script has divine runes that cannot be changed. Moreover, most of the script is supported by that divine rune. Removing it means ruining the whole script.”
After giving him a small explanation, Sora grumbled. I can tell because of the grumbling sounds from his helmet. And by the way, I’m wearing the same armor too. If you look at a glance, you won’t know who is who because we’re wearing the exact same armor.
*Girls’ Point of View*
“What is Sir Key doing?”
Inside the barrier, the girls are warming themselves up by the fire. Marie is currently sleeping in Matt’s arms, Cherry is studying using the book about botany by her side, Ghena is silently looking at the blowing snow, and when Jane mention Key’s name, everyone’s attention shifted to him.
“Are they playing with snow?” (Cherry)
“Were did they get that armor?” (Ghena)
“Which of them is Key?” (Matt)
While they were looking outside the barrier, they looked at the guys outside the barrier throwing snowballs at each other. Moreover, the side of the snowballs aren’t the ones you can joke around with.
Thanks to the body strengthening of the armor, they can lift a snowball three times larger than them. And by the way, Key used fortification on the snow so that it would not crumble despite its large size.
Later that night, Key, Sora, and Sanjeet caught colds.
