My friends often say that I’m a very passive guy. They didn’t see me as a person who could get angry, but that image of mine changed when a guy pissed me off when he tried to mess with my best friend. Now that I remember it, I almost broke that guy’s face.

With eyes carrying shock from the unexpected turn of events, Cherry froze while looking at the son of a bitch who’s holding her by the waist. After a few seconds, probably her mind returned back to the mortal world, she pulled herself back together and pulled herself away while covering her mouth.

“A-Allenshyre! What do you think you we’re doing?”

-Well I’d be damned. I’d also like to ask the same question.

“What do you mean? Didn’t we promise that we would do the ceremony when we meet again?”

“That was like seven years ago!”

“Yes, seven years ago. And until now, I’m still in love with you.”

While smiling like a hotshot, he walked towards Cherry with open arms.

--Okay, okay, this guy’s already gone too far already.

With that in mind, I walked in between Cherry and the little fucker. He seems to be intrigued by my sudden interference.

“Please move aside sir.”

Since he asked me in the most irritating way possible while brushing me aside, I replied to him with the most respectful words that came across my mind while resisting.

“I really want to punch you right now, but I won’t since it would leave a bad impression to the public.”

Because of that, he paused for a second and looked at me. It seems that I got his full attention.

“Hm... can you rephrase that sir? It seems that I misheard what you said just now.”

“Really? My apologies then, let me rephrase that so you can understand it.”

I coughed then cleared my throat. While doing so, I pushed him a back a little without him noticing.

“Please leave, or else I’ll shove that pretty face of yours up your ass.”

After saying so, everyone that heard me immediately gasped in shock. And as expected, the little fucker got pissed and I can see a vein that is about to pop on his forehead.

“I heard you.”

He took some steps back on his own. Because of his slightly longish bangs, I can’t see what his eyes look now, but I sure can tell that the little fucker’s really pissed off.

Then in the next second, he suddenly pulled the sword from his sheath and pointed the sharp edge towards me. Come one, this one’s pretty cliché move.

“You, I can’t overlook your rudeness towards me, a [Grey Legionnaire]. Bow to me now or I’ll take your life.”

“Alle—”

“Na-ah. But I’d gladly do so if you stick your whole head up your ass without me doing it for you.”

Cherry tried to interrupt us, that’s it, tried.

Then, I noticed Sora, Matt, and Jane with Marie coming out of the crowd. Jane looked worried, but Sora and Matt’s expressions are saying that they’re looking forward to something. Don’t worry, I’ll show you guys something.

Looks like the little fucker felt a little ignored, he struck the ground with his sword to look… what do you call this again? I kind of forgot… ah right, imposing.

“You, what’s your relation to Cherlaine? Why are you interfering with our reunion?”

I can see that he’s serious about his question, his eyes is burning with anger.

I looked at Cherry. She seemed anxious in what’s about to happen.

Hmm… is it just me, or her anxious look is very cute. It slightly blew away my anger. Now that’s my mental state has returned to normal, I should probably probe this guy for now.

Judging from this guy’s look, he’s ready to attack me anytime. So I activated my > under my clothes just to make sure.

“I’m just a nobody, but I interrupted because this lady here seems to be in distress.”

“You were just introduced a while ago. There’s no way you’re a nobody.”

--Ah, she did. I forgot.

“Then—”

I grabbed Cherry’s arm and pulled her to my side.

“—to introduce myself properly again, my name is Key Godfre Chardelier, fiancée of Cherry—no, Cherlaine Relyzine Goldenbloom.”

After saying so, he became stiff. I guess he can’t believe it. Then after that, he gripped his sword and pointed it again.

“I don’t believe you, because I’m her fiancée. There is no one else but me!”

He pushed his sword close to my face. But since I expected that cliché move, I didn’t flinch.

“I know it’s a little hard to take in. So my advice is you put down your sword and breathe.”

I said that one sarcastically.

Then, he looked at Cherry who’s standing beside me.

I can also see Sora, Matt, and Jane with Marie slowly approaching. I can tell that they’re doing this on purpose.

When I looked back at the litt-I mean, Sir Allenshyre here. He looks like he had something up his sleeve.

“Heh, I don’t really care, because right now, it’s already too late.”

-Now what does this guy can show us?

Then, he pulled Cherry towards her. He gently pulled off the left glove from her hand and then showed me the infinity tattoo ring.

“Do you have knowledge about the [Golden Soul Union]?”

-This seems interesting to ride along, let’s see where this little fucker’s going.

“I don’t know, please educate me.”

Cherry’s face slightly became confused because of the way I acted.

After I asked him, he showed me a smug face while holding Cherry by the waist again. I’m really going to punch this guy’s face soon enough.

“As you just saw earlier, Cherlaine and I kissed. I shouldn’t spread this secret, but since you’re also her fiancée, you have the right to know.”

“Ohhhh....”

“When one kisses with a member of the Goldenbloom household, their souls will be linked. That means that they’ll be connected with them until their last breath. And this tattoo on her finger is the sign that we are already connected.”

“That really is interesting. But is that all?”

“Honestly, that is all I know for now. But for me, that alone is enough for me to prove that our love for each other is strong.”

--I don’t know what I should feel. Should I either laugh from his stupidity or get angry at his audacity? This guy’s hopeless.

“A-Allen, p-please let go of me.”

“No, I won’t Cherlaine.”

After giving Cherry a smile, he then turned his face towards me while wearing a murderous gaze.

“Now that I have told you everything, turn around and go. Be thankful that Cherlaine’s here or I’ve already cut your throat open.”

--Just who does this guy think he is?

“I’d really love to leave here right now, but I’m bringing Cherry—Cherlaine I mean.”

While saying so, I grabbed Cherry’s other arm and pulled her towards me. But however, the little fucker’s resisting.

“Didn’t you hear my explanation just now?”

“Loud and clear. So my advice to you is you let go of Cherlaine, or I’ll break that head of yours and write the word ‘shit’ so that you can understand that you’re shit.”

I once again lost my cool that I didn’t immediately notice is getting hurt by our tug war.

> is the spell I used on Petal back then. Because of the ‘Baby Creation’ incident, I wracked my brain to perfect this spell. It’s also because I really want a power to walk through walls. It’s a dream of mine when I was a kid.

I wrapped the magic just around Cherry’s elbow to let Allenshit think he slipped. Cherry noticed it, probably because of her > ability.

I immediately wrap my arms around Cherry the moment I pulled her away. She got surprised so I’m guessing she didn’t expect it.

And Allenshit here, he lost his cool and his face turned red. I guess this is probably why they’re calling him the [Red Knight]. Wait… power ranger seems fit.

“You! I gave you two chances, but you just ignored them. I cannot overlook this anymore.”

Since he looks like he really wants to cut me in two now, I put Cherry behind me and stood straight without moving.

“A-Allen, please don’t make a scene here.”

Cherry pleaded, but Allenshit ignored her and started muttering some words.

“He’s preparing for a fight. Distance yourself, and if possible, lead the people away from here.”

It might be wrong to start a fight in the middle of a festival against the party organizer, but since he really pissed me off, I’m not going to let him off with just warnings. I’m just not that type of guy.

*Author’s time to shine again.*

After hearing Key’s warning, Cherry got shivers from the coldness of his voice. Even Key himself isn’t aware of that fact. And even if it’s left unspoken, Cherry knew how angry key is just by looking at his smile.

“Please don’t fight against Allenshyre.”

“Oh, are you worried about him? Don’t worry, I won’t kill him.”

“Please! I’ll explain it to him, please just let him off for now.”

However, no matter how she pleaded, Key’s mind was already distorted with rage. Though a while ago he was calm, the anger that is culminated inside him already exploded so there’s no stopping him now.

Seeing that Key cannot be cooled down, she turned her attention to Allenshyre who’s in similar state, hoping to prevent the disaster that is about to happen.

“Allen! Please, run away!”

“No I won’t, Cherry. I’ll make this man know his place and make him realize that he doesn’t have a chance now after we kissed.”

As expected, Allenshyre is also in the same state.

The townspeople read the mood. More like Sora and Matilda made them read the mood using [Mind Magic] and they gave them the space they needed for a fight.

While giving each other sharp glares that put blades to shame, both Key and Allenshyre readied themselves for battle. But only Allenshyre has a weapon.

“Why aren’t you attacking? Scared?”

“I’m not. I just don’t like to fight without honour.”

“Then, if it makes you feel at ease, I am a magician. I do not need to wield a sword.”

“Thank you for the information. Now I don’t have to worry about pulling my swings.”

Then suddenly, Allenshyre started chanting. For some reason, Key listened to let him finish that chant.

“Oh God of Flames that provides warmth to life, grant me power to defeat the evil that is my foe. >”

After finishing his chant, his body glowed in red. Then suddenly, fire engulfed him while. Then in an instant, a red armor with the image of a mighty dragon replaced the flame. To put it frankly, he now has the image of a [Red Knight].

“Magical Transformation huh. I think it only looks good on girls though.”

Unable to comprehend Key’s words, Allenshyre ignored it and let out a piece of his own.

“You’ve been too full of yourself for some time now. I’ll make you regret disrespecting a [Grey Legionnaire].”

In an instant, the 6 meter distance between Key and Allenshyre disappeared as Allenshyre instantly dashed towards Key using the support from > and > which he casted not long ago.

“You’re too easy.”

With one swing of his sword, he directed this slash to Key’s neck.

“No, you’re too easy.”

Without making any chant or even uttering a single word, the earth beneath Allenshyre magically rose up and tossed him in the air.

Allenshyre got surprised by that magic, not because it was too sudden, but because he didn’t see nor hear Key chant which is usually done by magicians. But since he has good experience with battles, he immediately returned his composure and used exploding fire magic behind him to drop himself to the ground.

“To instantly invoke magic… what did you do?”

“Not telling. But I’d happily do so if you manage to touch me.”

Mocked, Allenshyre became enraged once again.

He used his quick movement to zoom around to confuse Key.

“Aren’t you quite the audacious one? Not only you disrespect a [Grey Legionnaire] such as me, you also hinder my love for Cherlaine. Such insolence can only be paid by getting your throat sliced open.”

“You know, that description is very graphic.”

Then, Key suddenly clasped his hands together.

“> heh, balls.”

He giggled after saying that.

When he opened his clasped hands, numerous balls of charged electricity came out and surrounded the open space.

“Are you trying to hurt civilians!?”

“Oops, thanks for that reminder. >”

With one stomp on the ground, magic power flowed in circle formation. Moments later, just in front of the front line up of watchers had themselves surprised by the sudden appearance of an orange film in front of them. This film is the > Key erected.

Continuing, Allenshyre evaded each balls of electricity that suddenly blocks his path. It almost looked like the balls of electricity had a life of its own since it would follow him wherever he turns to.

“Such a coward way of fighting. If you’re a man, fight with your fist.”

“Nice try hotshot, but you’re not going to fool me.”

Allenshyre kept on running, but the balls of electricity is still following him so he can’t get near Key. Unable to endure it any longer, he used one of his abilities.

“Burn Everything! >”

When he stopped running, he pointed his sword to the Balls of electricity. Next, magic power filled his sword. Then in an instant, strong flame came gushing out and burned the magic of Key.

“Impressive… I never thought that fire could erase electricity.”

“Hah, it’s the >. It can burn anything to the ground, and that includes magic.”

“Ah… Is that so? Then thanks for the advice, I’ll be careful about that next time.”

Mocked once again, Allenshyre could not feel anything but irritation towards Key who is just standing at the same place from a while ago.

And once again, he used his boosted speed to confuse Key now that he lost the balls of electricity.

“Cut through my enemy with crystal blaze! >”

Then, Allenshyre’s sword got engulfed in flames, and then the flames slowly form a layer of crystal on the blade making it stronger and sharper. And because of that, Key’s composed expression he kept on wearing cracked and revealed a surprise. This gave Allenshyre confidence.

“Grant me speed o lord of the winds. >”

Allenshyre’s speed increased even further to the point of Sonic Speed. Thankfully there’s a barrier protecting the spectators or they’ll be blown away from the Sonic booms of Allenshyre’s steps.

“One last chance, bow to me or die with shame.”

“Same to you. Except, I want a stick stuck up your ass.”

With a snap, pillars of earth erected one by one to block Allenshyre. But he only cuts them with ease using his magic sword. The fight gets more intense from there.

On the other hand, Cherry just finished explaining to Matilda and Sora what had happened. Matilda was face palming in disappointment, while Sora kept on laughing which attracts some of the crowd’s attention. As a side note, Jane was listening and is angry in secret at Cherry because she let it happen to her. And since Ghena knew of Allenshyre, she doesn’t know what to do.

“At this rate, someone might really die. Please help me stop them!”

“If you told that us sooner, we could have. But now the fight’s gone too far. It’ll be dangerous if we enter that battlefield.”

“B-but.”

The four of them looked at the other side of the barrier. There, the fight between Key and Allenshyre still continues.

“I’ve never seen Key like this. I never thought that he would be someone who could be possessive.”

“Agreed. It doesn’t show on his face.”

Sora and Matilda nodded at each other’s statement. Only Jane and Cherry wore expressions that are filled with worries.

Back to the fight, both Key and Allenshyre are now showing signs of tiredness. Allenshyre is tired from running, but Key is not physically, but mentally tired after invoking those many spells.

“Magicians are so weak, they get tired only after using too much of their mana.”

“Is that so? Then that means you’re a magician. You’re tired also.”

Even while huffing and puffing, they still had the energy to throw insults at each other.

“I’ll end this.”

Allenshyre fixed his stance. He then pointed the tip of his blade towards Key while wearing a determined face.

“Might of the Flame God! >”

From the back of Allenshyre’s armor, flames came out similar to a rocket. With that, he propelled himself towards Key with literally blazing speed.

As he approached Key who was staggering a bit, he hit a layer of barrier that is protecting Key. But that didn’t stop him as he instantly breaks them into pieces.

“DIE!!!”

With stabbing pose, the sword that is coated with red crystalized power struck Key on the chest and came out on the back.

And from the side, Cherry, Matilda, Ghena, and Jane were in shock. Cherry, Ghena, and Jane cried out Key’s name, but Matilda only let out an empty scream. On the other hand, Sora just keeps on watching indifferently with his arms crossed in front of him.

“You’re an excellent magician, but you angered the wrong knight.”

With his sword stuck on Key’s chest, he gave Key his parting words.

Everyone thought that everything was over, until—

“Finally.”

Key moved his left hand and punched Allenshyre on the face. Moreover, Key’s fist went through the helmet and directly hit Allenshyre on the jaw, instantly knocking him out.

Everyone looked at the severed Key with puzzled faces. All of them could not believe what they see, that a man is alive with a sword stuck on his chest.

Then, with a calm tone, Key said some unknown phrases.

“I think I look like that guy from that Korean movie.”
