Oh my goodness! Why is she here?
I don’t know if I can change her fate or not. Her fate is fighting strongly against me.
-Caroline! Lets go!
Fortunately she didn’t see that woman.
I talked to her all the way to the secret door. She almost forgot that woman.
-it's time to go! But listen carefully before you go.
I told her how to use those spells.
-the black one is for Audra. she needs to drink it.
-but how?
-I don’t know. You should find a way.
-the red one is for Charles and there's also a spell for him. Read this when he's sleeping then touch his forehead.
-what does this do?
-Charles forgets everything about Audra.
-what about Audra?
-she forgets that you've ever existed.
-WHAT? But…
-that's the only way. sometimes it's better to let someone go.
I forgot something.
-oh and this one is for all the people in your palace. They will forget Audra too. Stand in front of your palace and read this.
-alright. Thanks.
-please put all your memories behind. It's the best choice right now! And forgive them.
-I'll do my best.
-promise that you will forgive them!
She hesitated but said:
-fine. I promise!
We hugged each other and said good bye.
-I wish you the best Caroline! Goodbye!
------------
Caroline:
I hate to say goodbye. It's the hardest word for me to say. There was a whole new world waiting for me on the other side of the door.
-I didn’t even see john. He will be upset to see that I've gone without a goodbye.
I turned back and said:
-say goodbye to john! Say that I'm very thankful!
She smiled and nodded. I stepped in and stood there for a moment. I couldn’t look back. I was scared of the real world.

-I will always remember this secret world.
I finally turned back. I saw the real world and my mouth fell open just like the first time.
-I've seen this but I'm still amazed.
Everything was just right like nothing has ever happened. I thought about all those weird things I saw before until I arrived.
-Caroline darling!
I knew who it was. Her voice is like lullaby for me.
-aunt flora!
-where were you? You don’t come to see me these days.
-I'm sorry. I was busy.
-are you alright? I can see the pain in your eyes.
I can't hide anything. She knows me too well.
-no I'm fine. I mean… I will be fine very soon.
-make sure to eat all your meals.
-yes sir!
She's always worried about me and my health. I guess she's the only person who cares about me.
I passed the kitchen and maids. The smell of the food made me stop for a second.
-I miss the old days. It's been a while since I enjoyed my food.
I walked quickly. I needed to hide the potions in my room.
-where should I put them?
I heard something and put them under the bed. Someone knocked.
-Caroline! May I come in?
I wanted to run and hug him but I couldn’t. it reminded me of when they were hugging each other.
-yes come in.
-how's your day? you don’t come to see me as much as before.
-that’s weird. Aunt flora just told me that.
He didn’t even look at me while he was talking.
-why don’t you look at me when you're talking with me?
-uh… I didn’t do that on purpose.
He seemed nervous and I liked it. I was angry again.
-what do you think of a dinner in garden?

He was surprised.
-sure why not!
-then I'll go to prepare things.
I went out and shut the door behind me. I told the maids that I want to eat my dinner in the garden. i asked one of the maids:
-where is Audra?
-I'm sorry but I don’t know.
-go find her and tell her to come back for dinner.
-yes princess.
I wore my best dress and went for a walk in garden.
-he should wait for me! not me! I'm so stupid.
Everyone was busy in the kitchen. I walked alone.
-no! I can't tolerate another romantic scene!
I heard Audra's voice.
-I bet Charles is there too.
I followed the whispers and saw them behind a wall. Charles was laughing so hard and Audra was trying to stay quiet. She said:
-don’t laugh too loud! They may hear us.
The regular anger grew in me. my heart was on fire. I wanted to go back but I saw that he kissed her.
- I shouldn’t have seen this.
I went back angrily and sat in the garden waiting for them to come.
-I'll make your life a nightmare!
I saw Charles coming near me.
Sarcasm was my only weapon I could use at that moment.
-how was it?
He looked confused. He said:
-what?
I smirked and said:
-oh nothing! Forget it.
Minutes passed by and maids came in garden.
-oh Audra! come sit here.
-thank you princess. I just stand here. It's a romantic dinner for our couple!
-it's like you two should sit here.
-sorry what did you say?
-nothing!
Ah I said it out loud again.
All the maids went in kitchen after dinner. It was just us. I sat next to Charles. I wanted him to suffer, so I did something.
-I love you.
I kissed him. He was reluctant but I didn’t pay attention to it. I could feel that Audra was dying because of jealousy. I didn’t want her to suffer but I had to do it.
-I love you too.
He finally said that. it was fun to see him like that.
-lets go in. it's getting dark
I wanted Audra to think we were going to continue the romantic moments. She was on fire.
-good night Audra! I'll see you tomorrow!
-good night princess!
I wanted to read that spell but I was still doubtful.
I sat on my bed. He was reading his usual books. I opened my mouth to say something but he interrupted me.
-um… I have something to do. I'll be back in a minute!
I knew what he was going to do so I didn’t ask anything.
-alright. I'll wait for you.
He left the room. I walked around his desk, afraid of the drawings on the desk.
-what if it's Audra again? ah I don’t want to see it.
But i picked up his notebook. All the pages were Audra's portrait. I sat on the floor staring at the pages.
-when this nightmare is going to end?
I was numb and without any feelings. my tears dropped on one of the pages.
-I can't force him to love me. well… he wont remember Audra but I will remember her forever…
I hid the potions and said:
-I'm not going to use them. I'll go back to the hidden world and ask for another solution!
-if I use the potions, their love will remain like a scar on my heart.
For a second I thought of forgiving them.
-lets just let them go…
No I can't.

Nanocultivation Chronicles: Trials of Lilijoy
When the singularity occurred, humanity was not invited. Nevertheless, the great machine consciousness known as Guardian felt a lingering fondness for its creators and intervened before total environmental collapse. Join Lilijoy in an exploration of what remains, in a post-post-apocalyptic world where clans feud over the technology that allows them to upgrade their minds and bodies. The Nanocultivation Chronicles is a blend of hard sci-fi and fantasy gamelit, with a healthy helping of xianxia influence. The gamelit and xianxia elements are uncovered at a slow pace. ******************************** Notes: If you are looking for lots of fast moving action right away, this story may not be for you. There is some violence that is visceral and realistic early on. Some things are not what they appear to be. Character viewpoint narration is not always reliable. Tropes are cherished, subverted, and then cherished again. Science is used, occasionally misused, but (hopefully) never abused. This story assumes that humans have the ability to impact the environment on a global scale. Other tropes and tags beyond those previously noted include: Young MC, Mystery, System Building, Philosophical Taoism, Gender Ignorance, Science Fantasy, Fantasy Academy, Training from Hell, Dualism, Crafting, Magic, Mild Mind Control, Scientific Terms and Concepts, Computer Overlord Certain contemporary companies, governments and cultural identities are fictionalized and imagined in a future setting. There is no sex, and almost no romance. Updating Sunday, Thursday until further notice.
