《Caves of Gods》10: The Importance of The Axe

Journal,
We rode for many hours. After, we found ourselves on an island. I looked and then saw Abaddon gallop. I followed him as much as I could. I looked behind me and saw Fiona and Toby running. Fiona seemed to run fast as me. I started running faster. Fiona saw me run faster and started running faster. Then, Toby started to run faster. We ran for a few minutes then noticed we had lost Abaddon. We ran around to find him. Fiona eventually found him. Abaddon was standing in front of a cave.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing. Let's go in." he said. He walked in. We followed him. We walked for an hour. Abaddon stopped us.
"Be silent don't talk just stay silent." he said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because," he replied.
"Tell us why." I pushed him.
"Because, now shut up!" he screamed.
"No, tell us why." I pushed harder.
"Shut up," he screamed. He quickly turned into a human. He grabbed my shirt. I pushed him away.
"Whatever," I said, "Let's just go and I promise to stay quiet. Do you guys promise to be quiet to." I looked at Fiona and Toby.
"Fine," Fiona said. "Fine," Toby said. I looked at them a bit angry. I wanted them to push Abaddon like I did. I understand though, I mean who'd want to push Abaddon harder especially after that. Honestly in general, Abaddon is a pretty unapproachable. We walked for another few minutes. Then we saw, Yolikarey. Yolikarey was a beautiful white horse with a blue mane and violet eyes.
"Hello, Yolikarey," Abaddon greeted."
"Hello Abaddon," she said. They walked closer to each other then they started attacking each other. They violently tried to bite each other. I ran to stop them. Abaddon pushed me to the side. Fiona and Toby then tried to push them away from each other. Both of them were pushed to the ground. Then, Cyna and Thessaly pushed them away. Abaddon attacked Cyna and hit toward the ground.

"You dare attack our daughter!" Yolikarey screamed. She pushed him back to the ground. I ran to the side. Fiona and Toby were still stuck in the middle. Yolikarey started brutally attacking Abaddon. Thessaly tried pushing his mom away from Abaddon. Cyna attacked Thessaly to let her mom attack Abaddon. Toby and Fiona tried escaping. Toby was hit in the face from Cyna. Fiona tried to get him to help him stand up. Toby saw that Cyna was going to try attack Thessaly but could miss so he hugged Fiona. Cyna did miss and hit Toby's spine. It made Toby hit the floor and stopped standing. Thessaly saw that Cyna hit Toby so, he ran toward Cyna trying to avoid Fiona and Toby.
He managed to avoid Fiona and Toby but, Abaddon and Yolikarey were fighting. Yolikarey slammed against Toby and her teeth grabbed a part of Toby's body. The part of Toby's body that Yolikarey's teeth grabbed was his belly. Toby and Yolikarey both scream in angony. Yolikarey screamed in pain because surprisingly, Toby's body was strong enough to make Yolikarey's tooth come off. You could see an organ and a bone from Toby's body. Yolikarey ran to Abaddon and made Fiona run out of the way. Fiona went over to me and grabbed my bag. She got my axe and ran away. I chased her. I catched up to her and jumped on her. Fiona tried to run away but hit me in the eye.
"What the hell!" I yelled. I grabbed my eye and got off her.
Fiona stood up and I looked at me worried. "I'm so sorry," Fiona said and walked over to me.
"Fiona what were you thinking you can't kill. I'm so sorry you can't." I told her.
"I'm so sorry." Fiona said and ran away. I grabbed my axe and ran away to further in to the cave. I stumbled through out the way. I found my way to the end of the cave. I've read a lot of books but, not many about caves so, I don't know if caves have ends. I walked a little of by about three feet. I threw my axe to the cave since I was mad about the recent outcomes. It got near the cave's endings and something lit up. I looked at it and the light came from a hole on the left half that was axe shaped. My axe went into the hole. Then the whole cave trembled. The ending opened. It opened to a platform onto the stairs. I heard gallops coming to me. All they gods were running towards me.

"Jeffrey, you did it!" Abaddon screamed.
"I did what?" I asked.
"You opened the- woah what happened to your eye?" he asked.
"Fiona happened." I responded.
"We'll fix your eye later."
"I'll fix it." Thessaly said, "Close your eyes."
I closed my eyes and felt my eye socket open.
"Duh, it's so ugly." Cyna said.
"Shut up," Thessaly told her. I felt something cold in my eye socket.
"Open your eyes," Thessaly told me. I opened my eyes. I stared onto the world in one eye normal, in the other eye the blue was in a shade of blue. I got adjusted to my new view in a matter of a seconds.
"Anyways, you opened the Cave Palace." Abaddon said.
"The what?" I asked.
"The Cave Palace, our home." he responded, "What was your way to open it?"
"My axe. I threw it and it attached itself to the door." I responded.
"Your axe was what I was looking for where did you get?" he asked.
"It was in my family for a long time." I spoke.
"Your family stole it. It was our only key to our palace. Father punish him." Cyna commanded.
"Jeffrey, were from who did your father get your axe from?" Abaddon asked.
"My grandfather who got from my great grandfather who got from like a bunch of great grandfathers before him." I responded.
"The person who got you the axe is probably already dead." Abaddon said, "I can't punish the proper human. Jeffrey go downstairs, then go right for two hundred dekameters, and then go right to the fourth door. After then, wait for me to get to the room."
"Okay," I said scared. I did exactly as he did. I heard many gallops after I got downstairs. I got to the room which was a huge room with many books. There was a suit on the bed and shoes. The room was connected to the bathroom which I used to freshen up. Right now, I'm waiting for Abaddon to show up. I've just finished brushing my hair. Right now, as afraid as Abaddon as I was on our first meeting.

Cultivating Earth [Hiatus]
[This fiction is on indefinite hiatus. I'm currently acting as a 24-hour caregiver for my step-father who had a massive heart attack. I apologize for disappearing so quickly, but sometimes that's just life. I'll return as soon as possible. Sorry everyone!] Zhao Gang, after hundreds of thousands of years cultivating, has finally reached the penultimate threshold. He is ready to ascend to the level of True Immortal. Driven by the need for a place his enemies won't find him, Zhao Gang puts together an audacious plan. He has developed a revolutionary new formation which will allow him to ascend while on even the lowest planes. To avoid drawing attention, he has to choose a plane that is relatively desolate, however. He chooses Earth. Fast forward three thousand years. Zhao Gang discovers what his work has wrought - a cultivation-free culture that has delved the deep mysteries of creation - he can't help but think how this tiny little planet devoid of natural energy could affect the course of all creation. There's only one problem. For that to happen, he has to succeed in cultivating Earth. Notes: Chinese names should be ignored in the social context - they don't mean anything. Sorry for slaughtering such a beautiful tradition. This novel starts off slower than most. If the slow-roll isn't your thing, you might want to give this a pass. If it's not for you, I understand. Also, releases may be broken up into smaller chunks. The goal is 5k words, but definitely more than 4k. If you see a short release, be aware that more is probably coming. I'll be honest and say that I'm struggling with each new scene, if only because I want to balance the scope of vision with good pacing. I hope the work I put into it is worthwhile.
